âAnything you want⌠Why have anything in mindâ Zach nodded, smiling at her, although that smile soon dropped as she asked to talk with him. âTalk? What about Vic? You cool? Not to hot?â He asked quickly, eyeing the girl.Â
âIâm fine,â Victoria shook her , waving off his concerns. âBut are you?â Her eyes made it clear what she meant. âAre we?â She didnât know what sheâd do if the answer was no, but at least she would know, and could save herself from getting hurt. Maybe.

Zach couldnât help but blink as the other mentioned that she had become lost in thought in his brief absence. âWe can rewind then, if you want.â He offered leaning over to press a kiss to her cheek. âOr if you arenât enjoying the movie we can find something else. Anything you want Vic we can do.â
âAnything I want?â She eyed him carefully for a moment, chewing on her lower lip as she debated whether or not to broach the subject of his distance, before sucking in a breath. As much as she hated the idea of what he might say, she couldnât keep living in wonder, not when so many other things in her life were uncertain. âCan we talk?â

âIce-cream it is. Iâll be right back.â Zach smiled softly before heading into the kitchen. The smile dropping instantly and a soft sigh left him as he just stood there, the freezer door wide open. The cool air hitting him, but only effecting him for a short time. Finally he pulled the tub out, filling a bowl for Vic and just having a large spoon for himself before returning.
âIce-cream as promisedâ He hummed happily as he handed over the bowl before taking his seat again, body pulled in even closer to himself. âDid I miss anything good?â He asked, pointing the spoon of his towards the TV/
She watched him go, the smile fading the moment he was out of the room. Sighing, her hand came up to her mouth, teeth chewing lightly at the side of her thumb as she slipped into thought. Not knowing what was wrong sucked, and she hated it, but with everything else that was going wrong in her life, she couldnât bear losing Zach as well. Perhaps that meant she just needed to pretend... but how was that fair on either of them?
She was still deep in thought when Zach came back into the room, and she glanced up, hand dropping from her mouth as she forced a smile, reaching to accept the offered bowl of ice cream. âThanks.â A shake of her head followed his question. âUh, honestly, I donât know. I kind of spaced for a moment,â she admitted.

âHmm?â Zach hummed in question as he heard the question come from the other. âAm I okay? Vic why are you asking such a question. I am definitely okay.â The boy insisted with that charming grin. âWhy wouldnât I be okay Vic? I mean I am spending the day with you and watching such cheesy movies.â The boy chuckled before getting up and stretching.Â
âAlthough I believe I promised you something a little sweeter that these cheesy movies.â He hummed, quickly leaning over to give the other a quick peck on the cheek. Doing his best not to linger to close for more than a second. âLemon meringue or Ice-cream or you know both?â Â
Neither his answer nor the charming grin were able to dissolve the worried frown. There was something that he wasn't telling her. She wouldn't mind him keeping secrets, after all she was doing the same when it came to her dad being sick, but this felt more personal, as if it had something to do with her, and that's what bothered her.
Still, she couldn't quite bring herself to push for an answer she wasn't sure she wanted to hear, and so she forced a smile, trying not to overthink the way he kissed her cheek, seeming to move away from her almost instantly. "I feel like both is just being greedy," she chuckled, pleased with how normal her voice sounded. "I think I'll just go with the ice cream today."

Everything was going well. Himself and Vic had been a thing for a couple months now and well. Zach couldnât be happier spending his time with the Stark. Most of their time together was spent snuggled together, watching movies and eating sweets. It was relaxing. However something was growing more and more on his mind. As the temperature rised outside. the more Zach was feeling self conscious. His own body temperature was higher than most others and in past relationships there had been arguments over the one thing he could not help. He especially didnât want this to happen with Vic.
Slowly over time Zach was starting to reel himself in. The boy became less cuddly, avoiding body contact with Vic for more than a few seconds. He could have this happen again. He didnât want the pointless arguments.
The pair were lounging on the couch, although Zach curling up on his own in the corner. as he could see Vic sprawled out, as if her body was slowly moving closer and closer. But he couldnât say anything. He just shuffled his own body against the arm of the chair more, trying to make some more space between them.
@victoria-stark
When sheâd first met Zach, Victoria had been expecting things to last a couple of weeks at the most, just a bit of fun and a much needed distraction from everything going on with her dad. As time had gone on though, sheâd found herself feeling something real for him, though she was hesitant to admit it out loud.
And perhaps that was a good thing, because recently he had seemed to draw away from her, becoming less cuddly. As much as she tried to ignore the behaviour, she couldnât deny that it bothered her. What had she done? If she had upset him in any way, she wanted to fix it.
Of course, there was a voice in her head that said that there was nothing she could do to fix it, that Zach was simply losing interest in her. Really, she couldnât blame him if he was. Her family issues had caused her to break down in his presence, and on top of that her dad had been less than accepting. Maybe he was just deciding that it wasnât worth it. That she wasnât worth it.
Theyâd been lounging on the couch for some time now, and slowly Victoria had found herself inching towards Zach, half on instinct and half out of curiosity. Seeing him shuffle away from her, she looked up, a slight frown creasing at her face. âYou okay?â It was the only question she could bring herself to ask.

Zach: It's fine. I don't have classes right now so just expect me to sleep in if you keep me up all night!
Zach: I would invite you over to relax in bed with me... But well with the time and all.
Victoria: Perks of summer break, hey?
Victoria: Yeah, it's pretty late. Tempting, though, I'm not gonna lie

âWhile I am completely and utterly envious of your brain,â Cordy laughed.  âBut you be the smart one, Iâll be the sneaky one, and between us weâll figure out how to rule the world.â She gave a half shrug.  âIf our parents donât do it first.â
âA perfect pair,â she grinned, laughing along with her friend. âI like your thinking, Cordy. And I think our parents have other things on their mind, so Iâd say the world is ours for the taking! Shall we get the crowns ready now?â

âExactly.â Cordy shook her head.  âBeing a shapeshifter makes things a heck of a lot easier. Plus I can make a quick change any time.â
âHave I ever told you Iâm really jealous of that? Because I am!â It would make life easier in so many ways.

âI only have Athena and my parents and Daddy was the only one on Asgard while I was there and thereâs only so many times I can bother him before he gets annoyed.â Astrid explained with a sigh, now grateful that she was on Midgard if it meant spending time with more people. âThat sounds lovely.â
âSounds pretty peaceful,â she chuckled. âI canât imagine things being that quiet at home. Not with everyone around.â Between her siblings, dad and pops, the house rarely ever seemed to be quiet. âIs that why you came here? To see your mom and sister?â She couldnât help but be curious. âOkay, great. Well, just let me know when. Itâs summer break, so Iâm not overly busy right now.â

Kimi: Preferably sooner than later.
Victoria: I feel you've text me by mistake
Victoria: Or do I seem like the kind of person who has burner phones lying around?

âFive?â The smile on Astridâs face grew even larger and excitement started to overtake the fear that she felt at arriving on a new Realm. âI think Iâm going to like it here.â
âYeah, my house can be a bit mad sometimes when weâre all home for the summer. Or at least it used to be.â Her expression sobered for a moment; recent issues with her family had meant sheâd moved out, along with Howard. Still, there was no need to get Astrid caught up in that. âItâs pretty great here,â she nodded with a smile. âI can show you around sometime if youâd like.â
