Day 7: You can call me ‘Great One’. Most people do.

I think Jocasta Nu might be my fave female Jedi, I love her a lot - she is such a character! 

I imagine her holding respect and a certain prestige for her duties - and putting mild fear into any padawan not careful enough while working in the Jedi Archives… Also there are not nearly enough grannies in Star Wars, I hold a great appreciation for cool elderly folks in fiction.

okay so we’re all agreed that togruta are carnivores, right? Which means that, in an absurdly happy AU where no one dies and Yoda’s lineage has monthly family dinners, you have every single one of them sitting around a table. Which also means that you get Anakin ‘champion of eating worms like spaghetti’ Skywalker, Ahsoka ‘watch me dismember this large rodent with my teeth’ Tano, Qui-Gon ‘i eat hallucinogenic mushrooms to get blazed commune with the Force’ Jinn, and Master ‘come from a swamp, i do, so unhinge my jaw and swallow this snake whole, I will’ Yoda all digging in, while Yan ‘truffle oil on my foie gras’ Dooku and Obi-Wan ‘I know how to use fifteen separate forks’ Kenobi stare at them in abject horror.

I think it would have been interesting, sure... but far more importantly, I think we missed out on the potential for a very interesting Dooku + Kenobi team-up here?

Imagine if Palpatine sent Dooku to Mandalore to take care of Maul and Savage instead of himself. We would see who is stronger apprentice. Dooku or Maul. And most importantly, Dooku would have his revenge against Qui-Gon's killer

Yeah, but as far as revenge goes, are we really sure Dooku would win? I mean, he was a skilled duelist – one of the very best – but I’m not 100% convinced he would be able to take Maul and Savage together. if Anakin vs Obi-wan taught us anything is that sometimes the best dualist lose.

People saying Ahsoka should have died in Rebels. Yes, it would have been fitting, I do agree. But am I mad she wasn't? No. I would have been satisfied if her story had ended as it begun, through her connection with Anakin. But I am also satisfied she is developing beyond that connection, and forging her own path. Ahsoka is so much more than just Anakin's padawan.

There are two wolves inside of me. One wolf says “everyone should watch all of the star wars animated series because they’re awesome”.
