niamhfinniganthomas‌:
Niamh found herself smiling at the Slytherin’s presence, comfortable and warm as much as the other might try and deny it. A relaxed sigh escaped her lips, an almost magical sensation at seeing Verity in the flesh, especially during a moment such as this. “True, true. As they say, there’s never a dull moment when Harper’s around,” she responded, hair bouncing up as she moved towards the redhead, along with her mood considerably perking up. It was the sort of effect someone close to Niamh could cause, a complete one-hundred and eighty degrees in her thinking.
“Of course it’s wild, it’s like drunk teenagers gone wild,” she’d added, a slight laugh escaping her lips, ruining whatever sense of cool Niamh had tried to capture before. “Not that I’m against the idea semi-public sex. I just don’t know how keen I am on a Ministry employee being my voyeur, you know?” Maybe it was a reach, but she’d never know. Better keep her options open, keep the mood light and flirtatious. Doors were always better opened than closed, even if it’d been closed before. Perhaps it was just ever so slightly ajar.
There was a genuine happiness though at Verity’s excitement. “I’m glad you’re having fun, babe.” Niamh placed her hand on the Slytherin’s shoulder, in a move for friendship and support. “God, you’re right. It’s like a huge party. It’s like a pre-quidditch party, but a party nonetheless.” Still, if this was the pre-party, Niamh couldn’t imagine what sort of shit she’d get herself in to during the after party. Especially if the UK managed to win anything. “I was, but I’m taking a bit of a break. You know, boys and all that.”
Tumblr media
“Oh, god.” Verity laughed, the idea conjuring the image of a very old and very angry wizard in a stuffy outfit, his wrinkled face turning read as he shouted about teenagers these days. “Knowing my luck, I’d get caught by some higher up at the RCMC, and I’d get to kiss my internship bye-bye.”
She smiled warmly, touched as always by simple gestures of friendship. She’d always gotten along so well and so easily with Niamh. Their relationship was one she looked back on with fondness, and Verity still held a strong affection for her. It was, ironically, this affection that had contributed to the end of their ... extra-curricular activities. She liked Niamh too much to have any form of relationship with her beyond simple friendship.
“Oh, boys. I know all about boys. Are they hasslin’ you? Do you need my to beat them off with a stick? I’m pretty sure I have a baseball bat in my tent.” She jabs her thumb in the general direction of the mountains, her grin amused, though she was honestly more than willing to chase off anyone for Niamh, or any of her friends.

martellcs‌:
Cassarra knew her own reputation. She was a prefect from Ravenclaw, for Merlin’s sake. If that was not enough, the brunette took her position rather seriously. She had no qualms about turning over troublemakers to Hogwarts’ caretaker or breaking up stolen moments in broom closets. Her actions earned her the nickname Muddy Martelle with hints toward her blood status and perfectionist nature. Her deeds have gotten her to a point of recognizing some repeat offenders and frequent faces in detention. Verity’s face rang a bell, but Cassarra could not recall personally catching her doing anything less than permissible.
❛ A little fun? I’m sure you and I have very different ideas of what fun is. ❜ She scrunched her nose. Cassarra had no power to reprimand a student for drinking outside Hogwarts, especially one of age. ❛ I really don’t see how getting piss drunk and making idiotic decisions could ever be fun. ❜ The brunette continued, though her own definition of fun was lacking.
Her guard dropped slightly when Verity offered her a marshmallow. ❛ Thanks. ❜ The witch murmured as a sign of peace. She craved both s’mores and company, considering her current demeanor at the festival. Being a stickler lead to a lonely life, but she could not help wanting to enforce rules. Her grandmother made sure to drill obedience into her. ❛ Careful or I might just take you up on that. I haven’t had a good s’more in years. ❜
Tumblr media
Cassarra was clearly quite different from the sort of company Verity usually kept. She tended to drive people like that away - the sticklers, the authoritarians, the sticks in the mud. They all tended to sneer or scoff at the unapologetically rebellious and stubborn Slytherin. You needed some degree of flexibility and open mindedness to put with Verity. Still, she’d always considered that to be a big part of music festivals, hanging out with people you wouldn’t normally pay much mind to. They were about bringing people together. And Verity couldn’t say she had any personal reasons to dislike Cassarra; they were simply very different people.
“The appeal of alcohol is that it helps you loosen up.” She gave her high strung companion a grin. “And it helps you to just ... not care for awhile. You take a few shots of firewhiskey, and maybe you’re jumping into ponds or kissing your ex or hitting on your best friend, but you’re not obsessing over your future or your life or whatever.” She shrugs, and reaches for another marshmallow stick. “But it’s not really for everyone. To each their own.”

ohpeyton:
There was something about the way Verity’s face lit up when she was happy. The way a jolly feeling seemed to escape from the pit of Peyton’s stomach and the way the sun had somehow toppled down from the sky and made a home right there in his heart  — undoubtedly racing faster as he laid his gaze upon her upbeat behavior talking about grabbing food with him; the possibilities are endless at the festival. She had the kind of happiness that made you feel happy to be alive and just feel a little bit more human.
However, her laugh. Oh her laugh. What a great sound it was. People think of laughing as a noise that comes from the mouth, but when Verity laughed it was nothing like that. The laugh was in her eyes, in the way her face changed into that vision of relaxed joy and unrestrained mirth. Her laugh came from within, it was just the way she was wired and he loved every bit of it. Although, he couldn’t help but playfully roll his eyes as she teasingly scolded him for being irresponsible as he snapped out of his light daydream. ❝ Oh please, ❞ he spoke softly, giving her a cheeky smile. ❝ As if I ever have the time be irresponsible knowing I have a friend like you keeping me on my toes so we don’t end up in the infirmary. ❞ he continued, gently poking her nose right back.
In all, he loved having Verity around; adventures and all that came with her friendship. It was that kind of friendship that blooms in the center of your heart - that kind of friendship that grows from the seed basking in the warm soil to a vast tree with many ups and downs, many - but not enough to disguise the enormity or the grandeur of such a tree, the sheer brilliance and beauty of it. Although he would probably never admit aloud to her, he was going to truly feel lonely when she graduated in the Spring of next year.
Although he doubted he wouldn’t see her again — neither of them would probably allow it —  it just wasn’t going to be the same when she no longer roamed the halls. So, in retrospect, he was grateful for the time he was getting to spend with her now. Smiling again as he was lost in thought, he glanced around the different vendors and contemplated. Glancing down over at Verity, he gave her a crooked smile and said, ❝ Earlier I saw a vendor selling an array of foods down this way. ❞ he gestured down the street they were walking towards.  ❝ Looked to me like he had roast beef, roast chicken, fried sausage, lamb chops, shepherd’s pie, and those bread bowls you mentioned. Interested? ❞
Tumblr media
Verity could only laugh at his words. She certainly couldn’t say he was wrong - she did keep him on his toes. She was loud and curious and easily distracted and impulsive. If she wasn’t leading him off on an adventure, she was calling him drunk at two am to babble nonsense at him. She was a handful and a half, but Peyton never seemed to mind, and she was grateful for that. She could hardly imagine life without him now. He’d pulled her out of trouble and held her while she fell apart more times than she could count by now.
“I’m a mess, but you love me. So who’s really the crazy one here, huh?” Her toothy grin softened into a more simple but genuine smile, and the affection in her gaze was hard to miss. “You’re stuck with this mess forever, though. No realizing your mistakes and running off. Best friends forever - that’s what all the bracelets say.”
She knew that soon their friendship would be facing the ultimate test - graduation. For an entire school year, he’ll be at Hogwarts, and she’ll be facing the real world for the first time. There would be no impromptu photoshoots in the hallways, or grand investigatory adventure across the grounds. She wouldn’t be able to call him up drunk and have him come to her rescue. She was going to miss him more than she cared to admit, because thinking about it too much made her feel a little panicky. She just knew that she didn’t want to let their friendship fade, no matter where they both ended up.
The mention of food quickly brought her out of her thoughts as her stomach rumbled once more, and her face lit up up a grin once more. “Shepherd’s pie? Oh, I’m sold. Let’s find this guy and stuff our face before my stomach makes good on it’s threat to start eating itself.”

Iris had just strolled away from the crowd, humming as she walked towards a lemonade stand. Walking away with her drink, she made sure no one was looking before transferring a little bit of the liquid from her flask into the lemonade. It wasn’t that Iris couldn’t have fun without a little plus, it was just that this festival seemed like the perfect time for exactly that kind of fun. Taking a sip, she grinned, and her eyes widened as she saw who was walking towards her. “Verity,” she exclaimed and walked over to give the other a light sideway hug.
Giggling, Iris thought for a moment that perhaps she should stop using her flask so much, but her mind quickly trailed away from that thought as she realized what Verity had said. “Oh my god,” she gasped, moving her wrist up to her face so that she could look at her watch, splashing a little lemonade whilst doing so. “I didn’t even realize I haven’t had lunch yet. And I definitely need to, so I’d definitely be happy to take you up on that offer. Plus, the food’s basically free, so.”
Tumblr media
Verity returned Iris’ hug, and gave a short laugh at her enthusiasm. She was glad to see Iris seemed to be enjoying herself. She always supporting letting loose and having a little fun - especially this summer. It was the first one she would be spending mother free, and she planned to make the most of every moment she could.
“Hey hey, watch where you’re splashing that lemonade, sweets - these are new boots.” She teased, pointing down a her biker boots, which shimmered with a layer of glitter to match her lips and nails. “So what are you in the mood for? Sweet or savory? Fried or grilled? Meat or veg? This place is full of vendors galore - we could probably find anything our hearts and stomachs desire.”

martellcs:
Cassarra enjoyed the infrequent quiet moments at the camping grounds. There were a welcomed change to the animated and intoxicated crowds during the day. The brunette felt at peace surrounded by the campfires, as her worries seemed to vanish. She even indulged in a copious amount of s’mores — something her grandmother would silently disapprove of. The Ravenclaw witch inhaled the sweet treat without remorse to enjoy her little rebellion. It was the closest she ever came to defying the elder witch — a particularly pathetic notion, since Mrs. Yaxley did not attend the Hogsmeade Music and Arts Festival.
She strolled through the grounds with weightless shoulders, and her eyes perked at the loud offer of s’mores. ❛ I see you’re already having a great night. ❜ Cassarra remarked with both sarcasm and growing disapproval. She sat in the lawn chair beside Verity, exhaling contently when the flames began to warm her insides. The witch glanced at the two liter bottle of Coca-Cola at Verity’s feet and could only wonder what was in there. ❛ I’ll take you up on some of those free s’mores though. ❜
Tumblr media
Verity recognized Cassarra immediately, as she made it a point to always know the faces of active prefects. If you're going to break the rules, you should always know who you need to keep an eye out for. Almost instinctively, she reached down and slid the bottle of hard coke under her chair and out of plain sight.
"I am having a great night." There was a defiant edge to her tone, as though she dared Cassarra or anyone to voice their disapproval of her. "Why not have a little fun? I work hard enough to deserve it."
Despite the show of mild distrust, Verity offered Cassarra a freshly skewered marshmallow. She didn't really have any problem with the Ravenclaw - she rarely had a problem with anyone, unless they had a problem with her first. She had a tendency to be mildly mistrustful and faintly defensive in general; there was nothing personal or serious about it.
“I brought enough stuff to make s’mores for an army, so you can have as many as you want.”

ohpeyton:
The music was as loud as thunder; it made the ground beneath his feet rattle like an earthquake. Neon lights flashed everywhere like police sirens, but much more colorful. Peyton loved the festival better than his own birthday. In the months leading up to it, his life was a frenetic whirl of anticipation and excitement all put together for this exact moment. He took in his surroundings at the pure laughter and joy everyone was having and he knew he was in his element.
Peyton had been there since opening this morning and since then, he has witnessed multiple people on stilts and colorful costumes roaming around Hogsmede. There were six of them in total and they would weave through the crowds, nobody taller than their chests. Children would reach up to hold their hands and their smiles shone through their elaborate face paints. They were butterflies, frogs, nymphs and woodland sprites; for this was the festival to welcome in the Summer. The music floated on the warm breeze like the Summer blossom petals; raining down from the trees.
He had taken it upon himself to be in charge of taking photographs of the festivities and placing them in his current portfolio titled ‘SUMMER 2023′ in remembrance of a great, adventurous Summer he and the people close to him were having. In all that time and focus on capturing memories, he failed at the one thing he was most excited about being at the festival for: the delicious food. He made it his goal, come Summer, that once the Hogsmede festival started, he would ransack every food stand there was. But, knowing Peyton, he caught himself in a flurry of inspiration and forgot all about it. So of course, when the Lord and Savior took it upon herself to offer the sweet sounds of food, Peyton couldn’t deny it. ❝ You know me too well by now, Harper. ❞ he enthused with a smile as linked his arm through hers, pulling her close. ❝ Anything tickle your taste buds? Because I know I could eat a whole house right now. ❞
Tumblr media
Laughter spilled from her sparkling lips as she let Peyton pull her close, not having a qualm with being seen on his arm. He was one of her dearest friends, after all, and their friendship had long since reached the point she felt completely comfortable in their affections (almost) one hundred percent of the time. She did, in fact, know him quite well - and she knew of his excitement for the festival food, and that he was just as distract-able as she was.
“You forgot to eat too, didn’t you? I bet you’ve been walking around even longer than I have. Well shame on you.” Verity lifted her free hand and lightly tapped Peyton’s nose as she pretended to scold him. “You’re supposed to be the more responsible one! But here I am, takin’ care of you. Tsk-tsk.”
She seemed even more upbeat and a little bit sillier than usually, and that could be chalked up to both the festival and her current company. She had always found it hard to be calm when she was surrounded by so much energy and joy - it amped her up. And of course, she could be as silly as she wanted with Peyton.
“Hmmmm.” Verity hummed loudly, biting her cheek as she considered his question. Did anything not tickle her taste buds right now? There were so many vendors here, each of them selling something unique and enticing, from the savory to the sweet. “Oh, I don’t know, everything? It all smells so good. I passed this stall selling bread bowls earlier, with stew and chili and stuff? There’s a suspiciously eager man selling burgers floating around somewhere. Mm, chips sound good, though. With cheese. Clearly, for dessert, I want something dipped in chocolate.”

“What? No, not at all.” Camelia put her burger back inside the box it’d been sold to her in, smiling. “It’s good, sure, but the guy selling them’s suspiciously eager to get rid of all his burgers as quickly as possible. He was just –” she turned her head to spot the vendor, and saw that where the cart had been standing, there was now empty space.
“Oh, well. Not that great anyway.” she looked down at the food suspiciously, then tossed it in a nearby rubbish bin. “Better safe than sorry. Not that leaving that quarter after eating one and a half is probably all that useful.” she pushed down her tipsy worries about being poisoned, thoughts stumbling through what she could be dressed in for her funeral when she remembered where she was. She smiled at Verity again. “Your hair’s nice,” she said, stupidly. Then, “You having fun? You enjoying the… music?”
Tumblr media
Verity’s smile faded slowly faded into a look of concern. Suspiciously eager? You should never by anything from anyone who seems suspiciously eager. It almost always meant there was something shady was going on, and the fact that he suddenly seemed to be missing was ... concerning. Her immediate worry was that they’d been selling some sort of illegal meat - dragon or doxy or demicorn burgers. Highly illegal and highly harmful to to those poor creatures! She looked at Camelia, and gave her a smile.
“They probably didn’t have a permit.” That was most likely the case, probably, and it seemed like a much more reassuring thing to say than to start listing all the possible creatures that she could have just eaten.”Just snuck in to try and make some easy cash. Not a bad idea, really ... maybe I should’ve thought of it.”
She brushed her hand through her bright hair, her smile widening at the compliment. “Thanks! You have a nice face.” Her tone was faintly teasing, but she meant it, too. “The music’s nice, most of the time. It’s more the - the atmosphere that I like, you know? All the energy, and all the people, having fun and stuff. It’s great.”

WHEN: About 10:15 of 29 July 2023
WHERE: Hogsmeade Music and Arts Festival, Campgrounds
Tumblr media
The last concert for the first night was still going strong as far as Teddy knew, having long abandoned as an upswell of attendees came for the bigger artists that were performing that evening. Though he was always for a good time, he could only take so many people per square foot before he got uncomfortable with squeezing past. And, as tempting as it was, he didn’t want to risk hopping through hundreds of thousands of legs here. Hogwarts was one thing since children moved in small hordes, but this was an entirely different environment with mounds of food and drinks in the mix. He was thankful enough to be present for the festivities as is; if Teddy had his own way, he’d still be back in London, working those dinner rushes at the Leaky Cauldron. His godfather pulled out the “you’re still young, go have fun” card though, and insisted on having the eighteen-year-old take the spare sleeping cot in the family tent that they’d kept open for him.
Since he decided to not take part in the late night life at the festival, he instead was throwing a small get-together in the outskirts near the forestry with a firepit and some lawn chairs. Now, every gathering when Teddy’s involved wasn’t complete without certain vehicles for entertainment. Tonight? Solo cups to help share a few big bottles of firewhiskey, a sizable stash of Honeduke’s sweets that he managed to tow away after picking up the alcohol during his quick run to the village, and very much secret shares of his medically prescribed cannibis provided by yours truly. He didn’t forget the sober ones in the group, of course; outside the butterbeers, he had a few liters of soda from the local grocer. It never was a trademarked Teddy party without some consideration since he liked to include everyone.
Having been the first one here, he finally lifted himself out of one of the seats, taking brief pause to readjust as his legs did their best to wake after not being in motion for a while, his vision adjusting to the dim lighting outside the circle of warmth. Pacing a bit, he noticed someone deciding to enter their little corner of the grounds and. Straightening up his collar slightly just in case it was an adult – more particularly Ginny, who never approved of Teddy’s over-sharing habits – he waved. “Heeey, howzit?”
Verity had slipped away from the festival grounds somewhere in the middle of the previous concert, having lost interest in the main festivities. The crowd was just a bit too large for her tastes went the more popular bands were playing - it was harder to dance and near impossible to talk when so many people were crowded together in front of the stage. She found more enjoyment in the people that the music, so she’d swung by her tent to sip a little rum and eat a few s’mores before setting off on an adventure across the campgrounds.
... which less of an adventure, and more of a casual, slightly off balance saunter past the different tents, as she clutched a bag of jumbo marshmallows to her chest, but it was more fun to call it an adventure. She was intent on finding something fun to do or someone interesting to talk to. She wandered towards the edge of the camp, knowing that if anyone around her age was up to anything fun, it would probably be away from the prying eyes of the adults. It didn’t take her all that long to come across a nice little party set up along the forest, and she wasn’t the least bit surprised to be met with Teddy Lupin’s voice as she approached.
“Heeey there, Teddy Bear. You throwin’ a party without me?” Verity flashed a wide grin, and reached for a marshmallow, only to pause when she realized she looked a little silly. “... I brought marshmallows. For the campfire. To share. I wasn’t just walking around eating a bag of jumbo marshmallows all by myself.”

Verity sat on a chair outside of her tent, stoking a small campfire with an iron poker. There was a lawn chair on either side of her - the one to left empty, the one to the right piled with graham crackers and chocolate bars and marshmallows and fireproof sticks. Standing by her feet was a two litter of coke, which was only about two-thirds coke and about a third rum. Satisfied with her little fire, she stabbed the poker into the ground and reached for a stick and a marshmallow. What was a camp out without s’mores, or a party without rum?
“Free s’mores~!” She offered loudly in a sing-song voice to anyone who happened to be passing by. She was in an excellent mood, and already well on her way to being tipsy.

cameliashacklebolt:
Being told by her own father she wasn’t fun enough was encouragement enough for her intrinsic Gryffindor self to go to the festival, as much as she liked to think she wasn’t meant to be in Gryffindor, really. So she went. And she felt utterly stupid. In the large throngs of people, in the noise, the music drowning most things out, she didnt see anyone she knew. She hadn’t planned to meet anyone beforehand, thinking she’d want to leave as soon as she came; but Camelia liked something about it. Well, she hated every second of it, but something about the potential of the festivities – thrilled her, just a little bit. Not that she was ready to embrace that fact with deliberate enthusiasm.
So, to combat her own restless unease, she ate. And she ate a lot. Camelia ate so much and so diversely she was sure she was reaching her biological limit, her mind absent-mindedly flicking through any reading she’d done on stomachs. She was teeth deep in her second burger when she heard a voice to her left addressing her. Camelia turned her head, wiping grease from her chin with the back of her hand just as the word cutie was used to describe her by Verity Harper. She swallowed too soon, coughing a little on the mouthful, and lowered the food in her hands, a little caught off guard by the wink.
“Um. Yes.” she said stupidly, acutely aware of the food in her hands. She looked down at it sharply, then back up. “I mean, I’ve sort of already… I could come with, though.”
Tumblr media
Verity’s smile softened. She could be a bit oblivious to some things, (particularly her own emotions), but she recognized when someone was nervous. She wasn’t sure if Camelia had already been nervous, or if she’d startled her, but either way she didn’t want to add to the girl’s discomfort. She knew her enthusiastic and bold ways could be a little much for some people, feel a little too pushy.
“Sorry, not buggin’ you, am I? I can head of and bother someone else if you want. Like, half the school is here, at least. Maybe more.” She lifted both her hands to gesture vaguely around them. She was prone to making such vague, unnecessary, and grand gestures whenever she spoke. Her eyes dropped to the burger in Camelia’s hands, and her stomach grumbled softly again.
“Ooh, is that any good? I’m starving, a burger would totally hit the spot right now. And chips, chips would be great. Can show me which vendor that came from?” Verity pauses for a moment, and then swiftly adds, “I mean, if you don’t want me bug off, which you can still tell me to do.”

niamhfinniganthomas:
WHO: ??? WHERE: hogsmede music & arts festival WHEN: early afternoon, july 29th
Loud music and uncharacteristic sunshine quickly became a comfortable backdrop for Niamh, who was less interested in live music and more interested in pre-Quidditch party festivities. Mingling among the crowd, dancing with strangers and flirting with the few who caught her eye, slipping shots from a flask into drinks too sweet to drink normally – Niamh could almost pretend she wasn’t surrounded by wizards. It was disappointing somehow, still trapped by her surname and her aptitude even surrounded by people she only barely knew. Yet, it only took a full introduction for opinions to form, only took a video of her Quidditch highlights to cause moods to change.
Hiding out behind a building, Niamh found herself leaning against the cool bricks, more as a respite from the noise and the heat than the annoyance of others. Sipping slowly on lemonade (with nothing else in it, she’d decided to quit for the day), she found herself more and more relaxed, tuning in and out of the noise from the festivities. More than anything, after staring at the rolling grass away from town, she’d rather be playing a pickup game.
Niamh’s spot didn’t stay secret for much longer, footsteps approaching causing her gaze to snap up. “Hey, stranger,” she said, getting up from the stone, brushing off the small amount of grime that’d ended up on her shorts. “While I’m sure playing this elaborate game of hide and seek has been fun, I’ve been bored for a hot minute and so, your reward for finding me can be showing me a good time.” she joked, smile plastered across her face. “Joking. But hows the whole festival thing going for you?”
Tumblr media
Verity rounded the corner of the building, her leather jacket slung over her left arm and a coke in her right hand. The straw of her drink was clutched in her teeth, her lips puckered in an attempt to avoid ruining her sparkling lipstick. She froze as Niamh spoke, having failed to notice her before, looking like a very ridiculous deer in the headlights for a moment. She released the straw and lowered her drink, flashing her friend a toothy smile.
“Haven’t I always shown you a good time?” She asked, giving Niamh a wink and a short, but loud laugh. She’d wandered back here in search of a brief respite from the heat, but she didn’t mind finding a friend instead.
“Me? I’m having a fantastic time. It’s wild out there.” Verity gestured behind her with her whole arm, her coke sloshing loudly in it’s cup as she carelessly swung it about. “All the music and the people and the food and the excitement! And like, everyone is here? I think this probably what throwing a really big birthday party feels like, only I don’t have to clean up afterwards. How about you, hun, having any fun?”

Date: July 29th
Time: Mid-Afternoon
Location: Hogsmeade Music Festival, Festival Grounds
Verity had been looking forward to this festival from the very first moment she’d heard of it. It had sounded like a wonderful time - and it certainly didn’t seem like it was going to disappoint. The campgrounds and festival grounds were already overflowing with wix, all of them looking to have a good time in one way or another. There was music playing everywhere you went, and people were singing and laughing and shouting, drinking and dancing and connecting. The mingling scents of the festival food were nearly overwhelming, and impossible to ignore. The atmosphere was loud and chaotic and fun, and Verity was thriving. She hadn’t stopped smiling since she arrived, and she didn’t think she would until the day it was over. She certainly hoped she wouldn’t.
A soft grumble interrupted Verity’s thoughts, drawing her attention away from her appreciation of the festival and to the emptiness of her stomach. She’d spent much of her day wandering about the camp and festival grounds, taking in the scenery, getting a feel for the layout, subtly trying to take note of each security guard. She supposed she’d forgotten to stop for lunch. No matter, though - her Hogwarts ID granted her both a discounted ticket and a bit of food money. She could get herself a nice meal without spending a dime out of her pocket, but it wouldn’t be any fun to eat alone. Festivals were about people, after all. About making connections, and memories - and you couldn’t very well do that eating alone. Verity glanced around the crowd, looking for a familiar face. She smiled widely, and strolled right up to the first person she saw.
“Hey there, cutie.” She gave them a playful wink, “Wanna grab a late lunch?”

“When you fall like a statue, I’ma be there to catch you, put you on your feet, you on your feet. And if your well is empty, not a thing will prevent me, tell me what you need, what do you need? I surrender honestly, you’ve always done the same for me. So I will do it for you. // When life leaves you high and dry I’ll be at your door tonight, if you need help.”
A Verity Harper + Peyton Robinson gif board because I cannot handle the cute. What do you think, @ohpeyton?
