Commissions open!
I’m opening art commissions to help my friend Rantaro pay their dentist bills, they need an urgent dentist appointment.
https://igneous-coms.carrd.co/#
There’s the carrd with all the information. We also have a Ko-Fi option for cheaper, simpler commission options.
It would be nice to meet the full price, but for now every little bit counts! Even if you don’t have the money to spare, we’d really appreciate if you could share the carrd wherever possible!
And now, here’s a drawing to catch your eye.

101 followers! Thank you very much. Sadly, this hiatus will likely continue until the 30th of July. That is when my last exam is. Thank you for your patience.

Seeing as I am currently feeling under the weather, I will now return to a single-page upload, much like I did during the beginnings of this blog.
Worry not, it’s not the disease you’re thinking of. It is merely allergy-induced headaches and sneezing.

So. The tablet I use for drawing decided to stop working, all of a sudden. Sadly, this is not an April Fool’s Joke. Hopefully by replacing the cable it’ll come back to life... Here is the last drawing I was going to make.
As you can see it was an april fool’s joke with unicorns. I am a master comedian.

What happens when you’re in a major that has mostly practical and field classes and classes are cancelled? Reports. Lots of them... I know this isn’t a vacation, but considering such a pandemic is rare... We could get a freebie, no?

How is containment going for everyone? Today, an old lady yelled at me because I was standing in my balcony... She was carrying a lot of toilet paper.

Hello! As you can see, I have returned, with a renewed love for my craft and a better grade average!
For this year, I plan to finish up Black Sabbath by the end of the year and change the overall look of the blog as well, into one more friendly on the sight. Including redrawing the icon and the banner.

An outstanding design! I am particularly fond of his Scary-Monsters eyes and his horns.
Now I would not usually reblog things to this blog, but I saw your tags and they gave me inspiration to draw my own version of a Tusk (Act 4) Dragon.
Day 42: Johnny Joestar
#Not-Va Dragons#I know I forgot detail in many of his scales. But the digital medium is very different from traditional...#In the way that the more detail you add... The more washed out the drawing becomes#Anyhoo! I enjoy your work and hope to see more designs from you!

Drem Yol Lok to all of you, and to the new decade! May the winds always blow beneath your wings and may your claws tear through soft soil in this new year! I again apologize for this hiatus but I saw it as a necessity. You can't rush art, you cannot consider something you love as a 'duty' or a hinderance, otherwise you will be very miserable. My exams will start soon, and hopefully end around the twentieth. I hope to pass all my exams at first, for myself, and for the sake of this project!

Can you do Risotto Dragon
Now, let’s do a comparison, shall we?
This is Risotto’s first design: Up to now I have not changed it.
Next to him is dragon Metallica, somewhat physical. One individual is reffered to as ‘Metalli’, due to their absurdly high levels of heavy metals in their bodies’, and their consumption of rocks with high levels of iron. It’s claimed their favourite is Goethite, but they consume more Magnetite.
One Metalli, by itself, has not the power to move even a blade of grass. They work as a hivemind and occupy the cadavers of dragons, manipulating their nerves in order to make it move as if it was living. By doing such, they can utilize the dragon’s decaying strength and abilities, without the downsides of parasytes (such as being eventually removed by force).
This is the new design!
You can see the signs of the Metalli’s parasitism on the back and elbows. The spots where the first-generation Metalli burrow and where they lay their eggs are represented by reddish growths that have very faint magnetism.
So “Risotto” isn’t himself a dragon, but the name chosen by the Metalli Hivemind.

I feel that as of late the quality of my posts has been decreasing. I need not your assurances that it is fine, I appreciate them, but understand that if they don’t feel acceptable to me, then the purpose of this project is defeated.
Thus I will be taking a digital hiatus until I find myself with more free time and avaiability to actually take my time with these pages. I will continue to try and provide traditional art pages, but I will not mark a set schedule for these.
I apologize for my tone. I’m tired and frustrated with university. I appreciate very deeply every note on these posts and know that every like, reblog or comment brings a smile to my face.

Can we get Squalo and Tiziano's designs? The sea gays. Because leviathans or aquatic dragons seem fun.
Lyxine, old friend! Aquatic dragons... Am I really that predictable?
Well, no shame in that. Not everything has to be unexpected!
Squalo is an aquatic dragon, as you can see. He is based off of sharks, of course, and lionfish. Despite their size and poor resilience, these dragons compensate with astounding speed and bite strength, making them ambushers of preference. Squalo’s Spirit Dragon also gives him the power to teleport short distances between bodies of water.
Tiziano is amphibian rather than aquatic. He is a parasitic dragon, based off of leeches and fleas. I focused more on the idea of ‘latching’ onto something. He and Squalo are in a happy, comitted mutualistic relationship. You may ask how a parasitic dragon is involved in such a relationship. The answer is dragon love. Tizziano can help isolate or disorient their prey, setting up Squalo’s ambush, by releasing a toxin into the body that harms the neuroreceptors and neurotransmitters (mostly in their face area) thus preventing them from emoting and garbling their speech (if they are capable of speech).
As always, these are unfinished designs. I am very unhappy with Tizziano’s actual design and I want to find a way to incorporate more characteristics of the human character into the dragon. Squalo’s, I have no major issue with, aside changing the head into a more shark-like one and perhaps altering the legs a bit. If he is mostly aquatic, the legs don’t need to be so adapted towards walking on land, you see my point?

Gold Experience, as you can imagine, has no physical, empirical form like Black Sabbath, thus it is, in fact, very easily overpowered when dragged out of Giorno’s Soul.
This Black Sabbath relies not on strength, but on attacking the parts of dragons that cannot fight back, which seemed like a tactic that would fit a dragon like Polpo excellently. [Squalo and Tiziano pictures coming soon!]

Pages 240-241: New Chapter!
Okay, I am feeling better. Now, for partially related drivel. Post-It-Less version coming soon!
It isn't until my student work resumes, every year, that I am fully able to measure the differences between traditional and digital art. And every moment I do so, I favor one over the other less and less. Traditional art is more readily avaiable; I do not use the computer on any other day except Friday so that I may focus on my studies. The internet, as you all very well know, is a very distracting beast that rears its ugly head whenever I access my PC/phone/mail pigeon. Traditional art is, as well, much more familiar. Like many others it is something I have been doing since a pencil was placed on my hand and paper in front of me; my hand is trained in the movements, it knows how to hold the pencil/pen exactly to get the pressure needed and the flow required. However, there are luxuries digital art provides that traditional cannot. In order to get markers (my favored coloring method, take it as an example) of every known colour, I would have to spend obscene amounts of money. Digitally, it is as easy as picking something off the colour wheel. Editing is easier: to change the size of something you need only... Resize it, while traditionally you must redo everything if you don't wish to use post-its. So is shading, effects, so on, so forth... But with so many tools so freely avaiable, so much more is expected of yourself that getting a panel *absolutely* right is nigh impossible.
What do you think? Which do you prefer?
