I've been pronouncing Absint like Absinthe in my head for a while and was wondering if that was the right way or if his name is pronounced differently haha

It did start off as a nod to absinthe so I think that isn't too far off 🤔

Thank you! I didn't really use any specific resource to learn, just sorta learned by drawing things I liked all my life. These days the main resource I use other than the occasional pinterest board for clothing or whatnot is this guy

Which I think I got on amazon? It's a half ecorche model I rotate around to see muscle groups. There are some useful 3D resources online for this type of thing as well but they're easy enough to find by just googling things like "anatomy for artists" or whatnot

How does Absint see? If steave were to cover one or two of the four eyes how well would he see? The same? Does it matter if one of his eyes can’t see?

Is it kinda like when ppl take off someone’s glasses and go: how many fingers am I holding up?

He can move his ancillary eyes independently to widen his field of vision but ye on their own they're not as sharp as his main pair. I guess he has more trouble seeing contrast or light with the little eyes

Also all of his eyes are colour blind

Thank you! I feel like I've explained this before but can't seem to find it properly with the tutorial tag here so eh

I don't really have a process, sometimes I just start with an eye or something and build from it, but if I had to explain the thought process it's roughly like this:

I rely a lot on anatomy planes and using simple shapes to know how they deform with each angle before going into detail on things like eyes, etc. Cheekbones, chin angle, eye sockets, etc

Nobody wants to hear this but it's also heavily linked to some understanding of the musculoskeletal system underneath 🙂‍↕️
