''Shattered Illusion" | A Mission: Impossible Fanfic

You know I couldn’t resist diving back into the world of Mission: Impossible and drama… but this time, with a twist.

So here’s the concept I’m developing 👀: Her name is Alek, she’s 29, quiet, fragile-looking, the kind of woman who blends into crowds and goes unnoticed. She’s not a spy, not a fighter... She’s just… normal, or so she thinks.

While passing through Abu Dhabi Airport, someone bumps into her and slips something into her bag: a sleek, metallic object she doesn't recognize. What she doesn’t know is that it’s half of the Key, a mysterious device tied to global secrets, something that very powerful people would do anything to get their hands on.

Meanwhile, Ethan Hunt is sent chasing down Grace, who he believes has the real half of the Key. But it’s all a distraction. Grace is a pawn and the real half is with Alek… and only Gabriel knows it.

😈 Watching from the shadows, Gabriel is always one step ahead. He’s letting Ethan waste precious time while quietly tracking Alek, this soft-spoken, easy target with no idea of the storm she’s now caught in.

It’s giving Mission: Impossible meets wrong-place-at-the-wrong-time, with a side of slow-burning danger and high-stakes tension. I’m obsessed with the “civilian-dragged-into-espionage” trope, and Alek is going to surprise everyone.

Together, the three of them head to Vegas, tracking Riley’s last known signal and preparing for a confrontation none of them fully understand.

Hey everyone! Just wanted to drop a quick update about my Mission Impossible fanfic Breaking Ties. After some deep thinking and feedback, I’ve decided to switch things up a bit: Grace is the one who dies, not Ilsa, yes, you read that right! Ilsa is still very much alive and kicking in the story.

Why the change? Well, Ilsa’s experience and her dynamic with Ethan felt too important to cut short, and keeping her alive adds a new layer of tension and complexity. Meanwhile, Grace’s death hits differently and shifts the emotional stakes for Beatrix and the rest of the team in a fresh way.

So if you’ve been following along, expect some changes in how the story unfolds, with Ilsa playing a bigger role and Beatrix’s journey taking a darker, more intense turn.

🛁✨Glam Night Gone Wrong (feat. Esai Morales?? You betcha hahah!)

So apparently my brain decided we were throwing a super glamorous soirée… at my old house of all places. Like, red carpet meets suburban nostalgia. Champagne, people in glittery outfits, weirdly too many charcuterie boards, the vibe was confusing but fancy.

At some point, someone casually pointed out: “Hey, you could take a shower if you want!” As if this was a normal thing to say mid-party.

I hesitated, naturally. You know…because there were people literally everywhere and this "shower" was, for some reason, in a semi-public space?? But they were all like:

“No no, it’s fine! Just keep a towel around you.”

Oh. Okay then. Sure. Why not embarrass myself in my own dream?

So I’m showering, trying to be graceful in a towel like I’m in some weird Glamour magazine x IKEA bathroom crossover... When out of NOWHERE...

🚨 Esai Morales! Appears! Like some kind of Latin James Bond in a blazer. He SMILES at me, and I'm standing there like:

“WHAT. THE. ACTUAL. HELL. IS. HE. DOING. HERE??” (internally screaming)

I could not speak. I could not move. I could not nod. I was towel-wrapped. I was mortified. I was mute.

And then he casually tells everyone:

“I just came by to say hi! Gotta run some errands.”

LIKE IT’S NOTHING.

Then he walks out. Leaving me there. Wet. Confused. And now haunted by a towel memory.
