POLAND OF 2084 - SOCIAL CLASSES 1.1
⤷ With an estimated population of 62 million, the country's political system has been described as a disciplinarian democracy with a strictly enforced social class system. The country's ruling body, Chiron Incorporated, is led by the Chairman and the National Board of Directors. ⤷ The social structure of the Fifth Polish Republic is based on a strict class system. Upon birth, each citizen is registered and assigned one of five possible classes:
S – reserved for very important people such as politics, millionaires, etc. (Warsaw only), they are above the law in any case, entitled to the newest technology and implants (mostly from abroad). Their districts are full of skyscrapers, neons, fake city rivers of clear water and real, exotic plants and trees, which all are a symbol of luxury, as well as apartments on the Moon. The air is the most clean here (thanks to air purificators), despite the amount of various vehicles. The cities are separated from the outside world with tall and thick walls. Only people with special citizen passports can get inside. Citizens can easily leave the country, as well as the districts themselves, but nobody really does that.
A – reserved for the richest citizens out of the society (centers the biggest Polish cities – Kraków, Wrocław, Katowice etc.). Districts A’s are usually neat and safe, neons and plants can be found here as well, but they’re usually the lower quality ones. People are entitled to way higher quality goods (food, implants, etc.) than the lower classes. Citizens also are allowed to leave the country and the districts. Moons trips are also an option.
B – reserved for the middle class citizens (outskirts of the major cities/smaller cities/towns). Neons are slowly replaced by holograms, plants are also more rare, the air is more polluted. Citizens aren’t allowed to leave the country that easily, but they still can leave their districts. C - reserved for the the poorest working class citizens (outskirts of the smaller cities/towns/villages). Often ruined, cramped and poorly maintained blocks of flats are illuminated by various holograms as a quick and cheap 'fix' of the problem. Major part of people living here are underpaid factory or office workers, along with criminals, drug dealers, etc.. The air condition is horrible, often forcing people to wear masks. Medical help is near to inaccessible around this area, let alone the access to the implants. Citizens aren't allowed to leave the district nor the country in any case. D - technically it's not a disctrict itself. It's an area inside the class C district, often being a system of abandoned buildings where unidentified people live (ones with outdated COMPASS system, causing their identity to get deleted from the census completely). Majority of the citizens are usually thieves, often even killers and human trafficers, living off black market sales. Since the government doesn't have any informations about them, they aren't allowed things like legal work, housing, medical help or leaving the district at all. last update: 11.09.2023, 19:41 version 1.1
