Das im Frühjahr 2018 zusammengefundene “Teil des linken Musikerinnen Netzwerk” ( Künstler*innen, Veranstalter*innen, Labelbetreiber*innen ) setzt nach den Mayday Aufmärschen mit der Signale 18 am 19.Dezember ein neues starkes Zeichen! Musik Politisch Machen stellt fest, schlägt vor, animiert wie wir uns zeigen, verstehen, verhalten können. Der von PCCC moderierte Abend auf dem gesammten Arena Gelände beinnhaltet: Konzerte in der grossen Halle, Presentationen und Infoladen in der Meet Area und Dj line im DreiRaum.   Workshops sollen uns allen helfen im Alltag aktiv gegen Ungerechtigkeiten auftreten zu können:- W1: Zivilcourage - rechtliche Möglichkeiten bei Racial Profiling- W2: Ziviler Ungehorsam - Aktionstraining für Demonstrationen . Vanity Vague 17 / 04 present live: Gretzky https://soundcloud.com/user-629355401 Gretzky, ein Electro-Pop Duo aus Wien ist Ende 2016 aus zwei Strängen entstanden: Peter Pichler, eine Hälfte von Sunday Bob und Elke Bitter, Sängerin und Songwriterin bei He Was A She. Daraus ist eine popmusikalische Nord- Südachse entstanden (Peter Pichler aus Südtirol und Elke Bitter aus Oberösterreich). Beide wurden in der Jugend musikalisch vorgeformt durch Acts wie New Order, Bronski Beat, Depeche Mode oder Eurythmics. Aber diese Allianz, die zwischen prominent beatlastigen, dunkelbunten Electro-sounds und einer Stimme, die dem emotional aufgeladenen R&B oder Soul nahe steht imitiert nicht, sondern stellt neue Rezepte elektronischen Pops her: Strukturierter, melodramatischer und den Klängen nordischer Formationen wie Röyksopp nicht unähnlicher Elektroniksound trifft auf südlich warme, seelentiefe Vocals, die eine geballte Ladung voller Durs und Molls des Lebens mitbringen. Es scheint fast so, als würden sich die im emotionalen Sturm wehenden Gesänge an die rettende Reeling der Elektronik festklammern. Aber nicht mit einem verzweifelten, klammernden Griff, sondern akrobatisch und voller Elastiziät. Gretzkys Tracks flattern also ein bisschen im Wind, ohne dabei weggeweht zu werden und die Hörerschaft im Regen stehen zu lassen. + Markus And His Flowers Stageinstallation t.b.a. Vanity Vague live: Hyenaz

- Berlin electronic avant-gardists HYENAZ have reached a cult status for their provocative live shows, for which they were dubbed a “performative monster duo” by electro superstar Peaches and one of the “Best Live Acts in Berlin” by Kaltblut magazine. This night will feature the current Critical Magic Show - a ritual spell in   sound and movement to break physical and mental isolation and to spark discourse that is both critical and utopian. The sonic elements of the album "Critical Magic" (Springstoff 2016) are comprised of dedicated experiments in synthesis and intensive field recordings, arranged into diverse sonic atmospheres. The music and texts emerged from the site specific performance "Spectral Rite" at National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art,  in collaboration with the artists Sylbee Kim and Nicolas Pelzer. Critical Magic was mixed by HYENAZ and Bartlomiej Kuzniak. High definition mastering by Bartlomiej Kuzniak at studio333. Winter Severity Index are:  Simona Ferrucci - voice, guitar, bass guitar, synth and drum machine programming Alessandra Romeo - synth and Keyboards.       On Stage: Giovanni Staccone - bass guitar.                                                                                         Winter Severity Index is a Cold Wave/ Shoegaze/ Post Punk project from Rome, Italy,  by Simona Ferrucci, singer, guitarist, bass player composer and songwriter. It was born in 2009 as a traditional band, formed by four young women. During 2010 the band published a self-released EP, "Winter Severity Index", distributed by AF Music, now sold-out. In the same year and in 2011 the band received lots of good reviews all over Europe and performed gigs in Italy, in Berlin and in Lisbon, at the Graveyard Fest.  In January 2012 the project took the form of a duo, after the decision of two members to leave the band. Simona continued collaborating with Valentina Fanigliulo ( a.k.a. Mushy). Simona and Valentina recorded the new EP " Survival Rate", released on May 2013 by Blood Rock Records.   The EP, now sold out, has been widely distributed and collected many of good reviews from music magazines and web-zines. Now Simona is collaborating with Alessandra Romeo ( ex Cat Fud and Bohemien).   They recorded the first LP of the project, "Slanting Ray", released on April 2014 by Manic Depression and Blood Rock Records, now sold out. The album was presented in several venues and festivals all over Europe  and was mentioned as one of the best New Wave album of the year by many magazines, both in Italy and abroad.   The current Album "Human Taxonomy" was mixed and  recorded at Subsound Studio, Roma by Luciano Lamanna, mastered by Andrea  Merlini, co-production by Valerio Lovecchio, Swiss Dark Nights,  released by Manic Depression Records, 15th May 2016 and presented live for the first time at Wave Gothic Treffen, Leipzig, and it was already mentioned as one of the best production of 2016 by several reviews.    Winter Severity Index is all about emotions.                                   Balck Vinyl/LP  - 7 tracks (MD064-LP) and Digipack CD version  (MD064-CD) available at:   manicdepressionrecords.com
