Some headcanons about the kinda games the PO Boxers would probably be addicted to

Glass Joe: -Literally plays every management and business sim game in existence, when there is something new that looks fun, he will buy it without hesitation

-Vicariously living through the success his virtual businesses have

-When he wants to built off stress he plays games like Doom where he just beats up monsters in a gore fest, it's weirdly cathartic for him

Von Kaiser: -Hardcore civilization addict, didn't sleep for 3 days because he got so into his beef with George Washington after he built a city right next to his capital (Based on a true story that happened in my civilization game)

-Talks shit about his computer opponents like they're real people

-When he wants to actually relax he plays Minecraft, falls into the first hole, never finds the exit and just hollows out the earth and builds an underground civilization

Disco Kid: -Addicted to rhythm and dancing games of all kinds, he probably has a ddr machine at his place and it gets used regularly

-But also Rhythm heaven and guitar hero and stuff isn't safe from him, he will find them and he will get the best score

King Hippo:

-Likes to play the really simple platformers that are usually made for kids. He could play something more difficult, but he just finds the simple stuff much more relaxing and cuter to look at -If the art style isn't appealing to him he ain't playing, end of story, no matter how good the gameplay is

Piston Hondo: -Virtual Pet Games have taken over his life, to the point where he even got himself a tamagotchi. Everything about it just appeals to him, the cute aesthetic, the animals, the emotional attachment, the reward for your hard work by seeing your pet propser? Yes, please

-And Puzzle Games, specifically the Sailor Moon ones

Bear Hugger:

-Doesn't game a lot, but if he does, he likes the cozy simulators, usually with animals or just living in the wilderness and building a house or a bed'nbreakfast, that kinda stuff

-He's also an arcade game enjoyer, he just likes simple stuff he can pick up, play for a few minutes and can then put away again

Great Tiger:

-Card Games. All the card games. No matter, it has a card game, he'll play it. His current obsession is Slay the Spire, he played it so much, he even dissociated and began playing it in his head while he tried to fall asleep

-No matter the aesthetic, he just wants the card games

Don Flamenco:

-Stupidly addicted to Stardew Valley, like it's not even funny anymore. Actually learnt how to mod just so he could add like an absurd amount of mods to the game, you couldn't even recognize the base game anymore

-He has so many hours in Stardew Valley, it took his life over at some point. He used to have a multiplayer farm with Carmen, but then he got so into it that she got kinda left behind in it all, oops-

Aran Ryan:

-Horror Game junkie, this guy just likes torturing himself, he lives for the adrenaline. Stuff like Outlast and Dead Space is his fucking jam, anything that makes him almost shit himself

-If not that, then he wants to play something funny, like actual funny games he will laugh at for hours, he hasn't found a lot, but the few he did find he could play again and again and never stop laughing at

Soda Popinski:

-Also not that much of a gamer, but he really enjoys comforting games, like games he would've loved as a child. It's kind of a way for him to return to those times and always gives him a warm, happy feeling

-He even has some old consoles and an ancient TV so he can really capture the feeling of lil pop playing all his favorite games back in the day

-His absolute favorites are the Banjo Kazooie games, he never finished them as a kid, so he got a little emotional when he actually 100 % them as an adult

Bald Bull:

-He doesn't really game on his own, but when he has people or family over, he will always join when they wanna play Mario Party or Kart or any of the party games

-He doesn't get a lot of enjoyment out of playing on his own, but playing these cute party games with people he loves is like one of his favorite times ever

Macho Man:

-Dating sims, ironically, like he eats that shit up- he gets like all the good endings, but not the ones where he gets rejected, cause getting rejected is Bogus-

-Usually goes the women routes, but 'messed' up one time and went on a man route and has had bisexual thoughts ever since that he will try to ignore till his dying breath, his tiny brain can't handle it

Sandman:

-Adventure games, hands down. No matter what kind, the cool ones, the funny ones, the scary ones, the adorable ones, the ones for kids. If he can click a character around on an interactable background, collect items and combine them with other items to solve puzzles and progress, he WILL play it

-he very much prefers the classics in that regard though, like King's Quest for example

-He only wears one boxing glove, the hand with his prosthetic is bare, because that’s somehow allowed.

-Says really corny stuff in his corner or in the ring, he just hits you with the „✨groovy✨“ before absolutely annihilating you with an uppercut

-At a certain point in the match he just takes off his Prosthetic, tosses it away, gets a fucking chainsaw thrown at him that he catches with his arm stump and attaches to his arm with a loud click and starts revving up

-if you can’t dodge a chainsaw hit it’s an instant knock out.

-sometimes instead of the chainsaw, Ash gets a hand puppet that looks like him and is called Ashy Slashy thrown his way. He‘s confused about it for a second, but then rolls with it.

-Getting hit by Ashy Slashy is also an instant K.O, cause he WILL bite you and it probably hurts more than the fucking chainsaw

Kampfmaschinen maintenance

Was struck by the sudden idea for an au that solely consisted of "What if Kaiser actually is a machine", so I drew two quick pics and wrote some lore to get it out of my system.

Anyway, some notes about it are under the cut (It's pretty long, sorry about that)

-Whole reason for Kaiser being a machine is basically him getting super injured during his time in the army, there was no chance of him for survival. Kaiser's only family was his mother, so scientists decided to take the opportunity and run some experiments on Kaiser to see if they can make super soldiers by enhancing them with machinery

-Kaiser survived, miraculously, but the experiment was still deemed a failure, since Kaiser didn't only get some horrific trauma from the procedures and his time in the army, his body was also weaker than it was before all the machinery was inserted into him. The technology just wasn't advanced enough at the time and keeps him alive rather than actually making him stronger

-Aside from that he actually works very similar to how he was before, just more traumatized. He doesn't need to breathe or eat or drink, but he still likes doing it, just to feel like everything is normal

-Things get a little more difficult with maintenance, cause the lab that ran all the experiments on him was forcefully shut down after it was discovered what was done there. Kaiser knows how to maintain himself, but he's worried that there is now nowhere he can get replacement parts, should something break one day (Which it inevitably will)

-Kaiser still found a home in the WVBA, all the boxers are very nice with him and some of them even learned how to help Kaiser with maintenance. The main person for that is Joe, Kaiser trusts him with his life (while Joe almost shits himself every time, he's that scared of messing up)

-He was a feared boxer for a long time, but eventually his trauma caught up to him and the technology that kept him running was getting more and more outdated, causing him to lose more and more often and eventually move to the minor circuit

-Kaiser knows that it's just a matter of time until regular maintenance isn't enough anymore to keep him running and tries to make peace with it by telling himself that he is just a machine and not the man he used to be. It's his way to cope, even if it's unhealthy, it's the only thing that desensitizes him -But in truth, he's absolutely terrified of the day he stops working, he doesn't feel ready at all, but tries to not let it show, he doesn't want it to make it any more difficult for the other boxers (Who are having absolutely none of it and always aggressively shut him down)

-Right now the only people even willing to give it a try to help Kaiser are the scientists that worked on Soda, but Soda REALLY doesn't want them anymore near his friends, so he'd rather they wait until it isn't an option anymore. He just knows what they are capable of and wants to protect the WVBA, they are like a family to him

-Kaiser has a kind of berserk mode, where he will just rampage and destroy everything and everyone in his path. He isn't aware of it existing and no one knows how to trigger it, so let's hope it stays that way Well, yeah, that's all I came up with, hope you enjoy this. I don't know why, but I have the headcanon that Don was literally the biggest fan of Bald Bull as a child. So, here are some wholesome headcanons for it:

(This is long, sorry about that 😅)

-Just imagine 10 year old Don, alone at home one day and channel surfing and stopping at boxing and deciding to watch out of curiosity. He was instantly hooked when he saw Bald Bull doing one of his rushes and knocking his opponent out, it was the coolest thing ever for him -Back then he didn't really know any english. He only knew that Bull meant Toro, so he would call him that until he was old enough to be a little better at speaking english

-Wasn't watching the match unless Bull was one of the fighters and would get irrationally angry if he lost the fight, would throw actual mini tantrums and scream at the TV until his Dad yelled at him to shut up

-Actually started boxing because Bull inspired him. His family was pretty happy about it, Don had been struggling to find a sport to really get into and they were elated he finally found something he was so passionate about

-His mom was indulging his fixation so much, she even saved up money to go with Don to america to watch the final Match between Doc Louis and Bald Bull for Don's birthday

-Bull lost that match and Don was crushed, but to Don's absolute delight, Bull actually heard him calling out to him again and again and actually approached him. Bull towered over him, but Don wasn't afraid, he was so over the moon, he almost passed out.

-There was a huge language barrier between them, all Bull could really gather from that kid was that he was supposed to be Toro and that he seemed to be a fan. Luckily for Don, he was absolutely adorable and endearing as all hell, so he did not only get an autograph and a picture, but also a permanent spot in Bull's memory

-That incident was also one of the reasons paparazzi began getting much more aggressive with him, not caring that it was a one-time thing for a young fan

-Don framed that autograph and the picture, he even still has them and always takes them with him when he travels somewhere

-Unfortunately he never had the opportunity to watch one of Bull's fights live again, but it strenghtened his resolve to become a professional boxer to maybe one day face him himself

-And well, he was successful, getting into the WVBA at a very young age and once again getting to meet his idol. You cannot believe how giddy he was, he didn't sleep for like 2 days-

-Believe it or not, Bull recognized him almost right away, even if they hadn't seen each other in like a decade. He had watched Don's first fight out of sheer curiosity and the memories came flooding back when he watched Don fight and heard him provoke his opponent with a "Toro!" the first time. Sure, Don‘s voice got deeper, but the way he said it was the exact same. And once he recognized the voice, he also recognized the face -Don was absolutely elated when he found out that Bull remembered their encounter, recalling how it was one of his key motivators to become a professional boxer and even showing him that he still had the picture and autograph.

-Bull had teased him that he still looked like that little kid that got his attention back then (But he's secretly so proud and moved that he was one of the key motivators for Don to start his career. It’s just a special feeling to know you had such an impact on someone’s life)

-Despite them now being on almost the same level, Don is often seen trailing after Bull like a puppy, always looking for guidance and advice or just a small conversation. Bull would be annoyed if it was anyone else, especially with Paparazzi and reporters constantly chasing after him, but there was just something endearing about Don doing it that made him a lot more patient and tolerant towards him.

-And now that they are both a little better at english they can actually have proper conversations (or rather Don yapping at him and Bull responding sometimes)

-Bull became almost a mentor figure for Don, a lot more than his actual coach ever was (who Bull would find out actually sucked real bad, but this is a wholesome hc dump, so maybe I’ll talk about that the next time)

-Don comes to him regularly for guidance or just to talk and they would sit in one of their rooms, share some food and a drink and just talk. Sometimes not even that, they would just sit silently and enjoy the others company.

-They sometimes train together, but not as often as they would like to

-Bull is the hard but fair type, he doesn’t handle Don with kid gloves and can be pretty hard on the guy. But it’s only because he knows how much potential Don has and doesn’t want him to squander it from him turning into an arrogant little shit, he tries to keep him down to earth. (Or at least as down to earth as Don is capable of)

-Don still really likes watching Bull's fights, he never misses a match (unless he is in one, but then he goes over right after and asks Bull how the match went)

-Despite them being friends now and Don having gotten on Bull's good side, he trains hard every day in hopes of being able to face off against him one day, he wants to live up to the legend. (He already does, but Bull doesn't outright tell him that, can't have Don stopping his efforts after all. He kinda hopes Don succeeds one day, but he won’t make it easy for him)
