I only just got here but the Derapchu and Wemmbu dynamic is so interesting like, Derap’s immediate response to Wemmbu’s death is to bust out all the resources he’s been safe guarding to make revival beacons so he can bring Wemmbu and only Wemmbu back. He says himself that he’s been able to revive people for a while but he hasn’t until Wemmbu. He’a supposedly doing this for closure but with how Wemmbu is one of only two people he trusts with his life I think he knows he’s going to miss him and the safety he’s provided even if they’re not actually on a team anymore

Ok so Manepear. Finally finished the vod. This. Is. Fascinating. Manepear has spawned into lifesteal with a baseline understanding of villainy that not a single new member has expressed at all.
And he is a completely unique threat. A very frustrating threat that will just never die or loose /pos. And now that he's explained his mentality he's just so much more interesting.
The fundamental difference from other villains is this:
MANE: “if you're constantly loosing how are you supposed to be a threat”
He does not think the villain should loose at all until the proper time (maybe ever?). And until that time the villain should protect himself at all costs so as to not stop being a threat - we know this from how much he didn't want to 2v1 Mapicc and Zam because he would just die, among other instances.
This is why though; we finally get to see why he's like this.
Which is just Interesting. A threat that gets you pissed off because you can not win until he lets you, on his timing.
I have so many thoughts about how this will work out long term but it is interesting to say the least.
But what is really encouraging is how he, and this isn't the first time he's done this while yapping, he comes to a new conclusion in real time. And works it out and thinks it through why someone is acting the way they're acting or how he should move forward. He thinks so much about these things and it's so exciting to get a look into his brain.
MANE: "something just hit me right now. There’s two paths we can take [..] either we can keep being op threats [..] or you guys have more of a chance if me and flame go through with what we want to do [...] i don't want to make it harder, cause if people loose hope, then they're just not gonna, they're just not gonna fight back”
ZAM: "yea it’s a tough thing to balance”
#mane is such an interesting guy to watch#hearing his motivations behind everything makes things have so much more sense#I wish he streamed more so I could get an actual look inside his head#he’s so good at yapping whenever he actually talks and that whole meeting has been stuck inside my head#I’m very intrigued to see where this whole arc goes#the quote where he says “even when I’m wrong I’m right I feel like summarizes his whole character#or at the very least the way he wants to be perceived#the whole point you made about him thinking a villain should only lose on their terms is exactly what I’ve been thinking#mane is such an interesting villain I hope he decides to talk more in the future#I love when the primarily pvp focused players rp

im like so normal about uu!zammbu as someone whos only watched like four episodes total, one of which was entirely out of order compared to the rest. In the escape room video, Wemmbu initially getting all the weapons while Zam gets all the armor..... while Prince Zam gets all the armor. The royalty gets the armor. And Wemmbu still ending up in the offensive position when they end up with Clown in the End, telling Zam to run. Like? Knight!Wemmbu with his Prince Zam fucking save me. Im especially normal about how Zam and Wemmbu both have that same like. unnerving little laugh in their voices while they talk, but like, the difference between them is that from what ive seen it's a defensive thing for Zam, but it's an offensive thing for Wemmbu. Wemmbu goes silent or at the least drops his little giggle when youve fucking Got his ass, but if he's got you, and he knows he's got you? You get the voice. But the opposite seems true for Zam.

For those of those looking for the Minute comment about being inspired by Zam season 3. It's in the "Murder Chicken Machine" vod convo starts 35:00
And it's just shocking how much Minute s5 just exactly Zam s6. Complete with a morality of doing good for the server, not banning his enemies, and making up for his past as an assassin.
And he's so solid in it, so unaffected by JokerZam's berating and trying to prove to him that he is evil deep down.
And that's exactly how Zam is this season, unmoved by comments about him breaking and just kind of sad that everyone is trying to get him to break.
But he also was the Joker who embodies the chaos of the server, the endless violence. Who insisted Minute would break, who insisted that Minute would have to ban him to stop him. Is that not exactly what Zam is facing this season?
MINUTE: "do you want to know why [I never farmed you off the server before this] cause I know, if I do that. If I let myself go there, if I cross that line, if I give into.. whatever you call your anarchy. If I do that, I know I'll never come back" ZAM: "but I want to see what happens when you break that rule, when you go [laughing] I want to see what that does to the sever! That's exactly what I want"
It's just so interesting how much s6 Zam has put himself in the exact same position Minute was in. How much it makes sense for Zam to do that. And yet the role reversal is so perfect it's crazy it hasn't been talked about more. Zam almost distances himself from it because he's not trying to cause peace on all of lifesteal, just trying to control his own bloodlust. But that was also Minute's goal.
And it's so delightful how much of mcrp is just placing yourself in odd situations and seeing how you might react. Zam throwing himself into the Joker, then throwing himself into pacifism. Betraying team awesome, betraying eclipse, joining the wormhole, making an empire, championing unbanning players. Whatever arc Zam goes on he just commits so fully and embraces all consequences of it.
I can't wait for Minute and Zam to yap this season. Please do it at some point. Pleeeasse.
----
also I did NOT give Minute enough credit with rp in the moment but looking back through the vods and watching it back to back and not having to wait days in between 5 voice lines... this man cooks.
#currently rewatching s5 and the amount of parallels between the two are making me lose my mind#minute when he actually locks in and rps always delivers the craziest lines#the scene where minute reveals he was inspired by Zam actually rewrote my brain chemistry#Zam revealing that he was inspired by minute as well was also so crazy to me but also very obvious at the same time#I can’t wait for the day those two talk about these things#im very curious to see how minute will react#I hope he decides to mcrp more because when he got into it he always delivered
