â đ â    Gina wasnât too sure what to think of her patient, but one thing was for sure, he was too relaxed considering heâs the injured one here. Based from what she heard so far, he really did have a careless lifestyle. â Youâre very contradicting , Sir Kyle ⊠but I will trust your words this time around . â
She starts patching up his wounds, cleaning them once more before wrapping them properly. She worked quietly, focusing on the task at hand. Her patient was a lively one, but that didnât mean she had to be one too. Mostly because it made her nervous and unable to focus on what she needed to do.Â
Kyle obediently remained quiet when Gina started tending to his injuries. She worked in silence so he figured he should just shut up, too. He felt kind of bad worrying her like that, but he was just being honest. So as she wraps up his arm, he breaks the silence and speaks up.
âHey, uh, Gina?â He didnât want to make her uncomfortable, but he wanted to reassure her somehow that he wasnât completely hopeless and irresponsible. She seemed pretty worried earlier. âYou got any first aid tips for me? I probably wonât tone down on the injuries, but itâd help to know what to do with them. I know a bit of healing magic but those usually exhaust me. I prefer more natural methods.âÂ

â đ â Â Â Â Surprised to hear she was wrong in her assumptions, Gina was doubtful as she listened to Kyleâs explanations. His reaction was proof of that!
â Is that so ? I apologize for getting ahead of myself , Sir Kyle . But it truly did seem like she was your wife â or something similar, hee hee .â Perhaps he was simply dense? From just the way he talked about her, Gina can tell she wasnât simply important to him. She was special.
â Iâll accept your payment now, but uhm, once you figure out how iâll meet Miss Lillie, please inform me through this number. â Gina scribbled down her contact information on a piece of paper and handed it over to Kyle, excited to coordinate with the special lady in her life. â If you have inputs yourself about her , I would love to hear them . It will help me come up with a fitting design .â And she really just wanted to fawn over such an innocent kind of love.
Kyle was suspicious of Ginaâs words even if she apologized and took back what she said. What did she mean by that giggle of hers?! He wanted to call her out on it, but decided against that in favor of finalizing this little transaction of theirs. For now, heâll just give her the benefit of the doubt.
âUm, alright. Thanks for this, Iâll try to set things up as soon as possible.â He took her contact number and gave what she said some thought. Inputs about Lillie, huh? He never really gave it much thought, but here goes: âWell uh, alright. Letâs see... for starters sheâs a very sunny person. Her smileâs her main asset. I think. She gets flustered easily but itâs part of her charm.âÂ
âI think sheâs really cute, but maybe the designs could be something less cute and more... elegant?â He recalls the dance from the last event, remembering how she looked beautiful in the formal dress. Even if it wasnât like her usual get-up, it really suited her and made her look less like a cutesy girl, and more like a beautiful young woman.
Thinking about that made heat rise up to his face all the way to his ears. Realizing this, cleared his throat and tried to get a grip, âY-yeah, definitely something along those lines. Did that help?â

[ â ] â Love. The word immediately strikes Lillie, taking her breath away for a moment. But why, she wondered? It wasnât so strange, to love the people you were close to. She had plenty of love for her family and friends, and her fans too, even if most of them were strangers. But she couldnât help but wonder if she was a part of his exclusive group of close friends.
If he âlovedâ her, too?
Just the thought was enough to make her face explode with heat, and she holds the bouquet over the lower half or her face to hide the blush. They were friends and all, but Lillie wasnât sure she could confidently express such a sentiment for him. Unlike with Meg, Agate, or Fritz⊠something like love felt like it held a lot more weight with Kyle. She would settle with a firm like, for now.
He puts a flower behind her ear and casually throws out another compliment, tone so casual that it seemed as inconsequential as a comment on the weather. She didnât get it. Was he coming onto her, or was he just being friendly? There were a lot of things she liked about Kyleâs open and carefree nature, but Lillie had a strong suspicion it could be the death of her, too.
âThank you!â Wait. Should she be saying that again? She already did when he gave her the flowers, so this seemed kinda redundant⊠ugh. Uh-oh, heâs asking a question! Get it together, Lillie. âAnd, um, I⊠well, itâd be nice to see her and all, but⊠I mostly came for you, so⊠wait⊠what?â
Sheâd been so focused on thinking of what to say that she hadnât paid much attention to Kyleâs words, so when they fully register, she pauses. He was asking her out. Not in like, a date sort of way, but as friends⊠yeah, totally. Right? She thinks so, anywayâŠ
Realizing she hadnât answered him yet, Lillie gives a nervous laugh. âO-oh, yeah! Iâd love to!â Did that sound too eager? Oh no, thatâs not what she wanted! âI-I mean! It sounds⊠really nice.âÂ
Lillie wasnât sure if that was better, but at least it didnât seem like she was throwing herself at him.
So she did dropped by to see him.
The thought alone was so endearing, especially knowing she came all the way here just to give him the flower festival gift. This was all new and exciting for Kyle, and he might be too eager and expressive right now, but he wasnât aware of his words and actions just yet. All he knew was he wanted to spend time with this lovely person, and so heâll act according to that want.
âIf itâs fine with you, we could just stay here in the house?â Unlike Lillieâs worries, Kyle was pretty much on cloud nine right now, just glad she agreed. He opened the door to invite her inside .
Hopefully Meg and Jake didnât mind him acting like this was his house too. He was just a freeloader, sure, but he didnât really know where else to take Lillie on such short notice. Plus, he has some very eager companions that have been hearing all about her, but never really meeting her. Now was the perfect time to introduce her to them.
âI have a few buddies that would love to get to know you, too.â With a sharp whistle, a very excited silver wolf immediately appears from the side of the house, running fast and answering Kyleâs call more like a dog that a wolf.

[ â ] â Behind that sunny exterior was the mind of a master manipulator.Â
What else could Jake think, when he so casually targeted the half-elfâs weaknesses to get what he wanted? Anyone who knew Jake knew how important Margaretâs happiness was to him, so how the hell could he reject something that would cause just that? He was far from some performer, but if it was for MegâŠ
When Hunter and Morgan show their obvious approval of Kyleâs half-baked plan, Jake sighs. At least Lucina seemed to think this was as ridiculous as he did. He wasnât completely betrayed. Shit. Damn Kyle and his good intentions.
âShe probably would like itâŠâ He concedes, knowing she definitely would. Butâ âAssuming I do go along with your antics Red, what the hell are we even gonna do? Iâm not exactly a singer.â Sure, he could play the harmonica a bit, butâŠ
Kyle was ready to mention Meg more, and even the baby if it came down to it. But soon enough, Jake agreed and Kyle knew it was a solid checkmate. He he he.
âI know that much--â Kyle didnât hate Jakeâs voice and would probably like it if he sang, but the rest of Pelago-- the hoomans, in particular --Â might not see it like that.
He took out his phone and started playing something lively and upbeat. Just as he did, the two more enthusiastic wolves started jumping up as if they were dancing on their own. â-- I was thinking we could bust out a few moves and dance instead~ look, even the wolves are into it!â Â
âMaybe we can even play some traditional elvish music and dance to those~ do you know any?âÂ

âWhy?â
She tilted her head to the side. Wasnât it obvious?
âTheyâre evil!â
Vile creatures that served no purpose other than to ruin her life. She couldnât think of one example of how they made her waters better. Hide, eat, and brainwash - thatâs all they did! They deserved to be cooked, prepared on a dish, and eaten.
âYep, yep, yep! Put them on a stick, grill them, and TA-DA! The perfect snack~âȘâÂ
âVery evil.â Kyle shuddered, agreeing at her words but still confused as to why she would stash them in her bag. When he heard her answer, however, his face falls and disgust takes over once more.
âThatâs horrible. Theyâre the worst kind of food in the world and should never be eaten by any sane man.â He was acting out of spite at this point, the disgust in his face too clear as he recalls getting the worst food poisoning heâs ever experienced all because of some bad squid.
âIâm sorry but I canât let you leave knowing youâre going to eat that squid.â He puts a hand on her bad, regretting opening it to set the squid free.Â

It wasnât this guyâs fault but unfortunately for him, he caught Iluka at a bad time.
âIt doesnât have anything to do with you.â
She snapped back, not bothering to acknowledge that he was trying to be courteous - at first. A short, quiet moment passed before she took a deep breath and looked off to the side. She could feel her sister telling her to calm down and think this over. This is why you donât have friends. Blah, blah, blah.
âSorry.â
She mumbled. The polite gesture of eye contact was still not in the cards yet.
Kyle was silenced after Iluhaâs last retort to him meddling in her affairs. She was right, it had didnât have anything to do with him. He knew that, and yet, here he was.
âHey... no, itâs my fault. It has nothing to do with me, I know. But... But, even if it was just a mumbled apology, he somehow felt that he was progressing here.Â
Maybe sheâs like Jake? Snappy with an ice cold heart at first glance, but kind underneath all the layers of anger.Â

[ â ] â That comment, from Lillieâs point of view, had definitely seemed like the intent was to flatter. She didnât really have much experience in dealing with men, but from the sort of behavior sheâs seen exhibited in the past, this would definitely count as some kind of flirtatious comment.Â
But with Kyle, it didnât feel like that. It felt as more of a statementâ a sincere admission. And the thought that he might genuinely consider her as the only one he wanted to give flowers to, no less a bouquet this impressive⊠well, she wasnât sure what to think past the initial anxiety and giddiness she felt. Was he just being nice, orâŠ?
His sweet words certainly hadnât been helping to clear up the confusion, but since she refused to do something extremely awkward like ask him outright, she decided to stop thinking about it so much, and just take his gestures at face value. Things were much easier that way.
âWow, really? But⊠youâre so great! Iâm surprised people arenât tripping over themselves to give you giftsâŠâ Surprised, but not disappointed. It felt nice to be one of the few to do so, and at the risk of sounding incredibly selfish, even nicer to be the focus of his attention. If anyone felt special here, it was Lillie.
At his antics, she giggles, feeling much less nervous than she had been before. âYou look lovely. Radiant, even! Those flowers go really well with your complexion~â
âReally? I donât really have a lot of people Iâm close with, but the few I have, I love.â And the were great, loving people too. To treat them any less would make him ungrateful and Kyle was never one to hide how he appreciates people. He might go overboard at times, but its the only way he knows how to make it up for sticking with him.
Continuing his antics, he was glad it made her laugh. From the times they cross paths, Lillie always seemed like the nervous and shy kind, but eventually gets comfortable after a while.Â
The white delphinium that dangled from his ear and the pink rose on the other made an odd match, but if Lillie said he looked lovely in em, than he found no reason to take em off. âRadiant, huh? Well, you donât really need one to look radiant or anything, but--â He takes out the sole red gerbera from the bouquet, tucking it neatly on Lillieâs right ear. â--there you go. We match.â
Yellow was definitely Lillieâs color, but looking at her now with the bright red flower on her, he couldnât help but think adding a splash wasnât so bad. A strike of boldness to compliment her already bright and sunny vibe.
Or maybe heâs just a little too bias since she looks cute wearing his color.
âSo didâja come here just to give me these? Or were you here to see Meg, too?â Deciding to keep just the pink rose on since the delphinium kept dangling down, Kyle took it off and poked Lille on the nose with it. âCause I was thinking if you werenât and if you got the time-- wanna hang out with me for a bit? Iâd hate to see you go so soon.â

[ â ] â Lillie nearly jumps out of her skin when she hears a familiar voice suddenly ring out from behind her, and she turns to Kyle with a noticeable fluster, feeling about a hundred times more nervous now that she was faced with the object of her⊠gift giving? She was so focused on the fact that he was suddenly there that she doesnât answer his question straight away, unable to respond before he pulls out a bouquet from behind his back.
It was⊠beautiful. That was the first word that came to mind as she took it all in â the gorgeous rainbow of colors, each flower perfectly arranged⊠it was obvious from just one glance that a lot of care went into the crafting of this bouquet. Whoever it was for sure was a lucky person.
Wait. Did he just say, âdelivered to herâ? Her!?
Not only did that come as a shock, but she couldnât help but feel a bit ashamed too. He had done all of⊠that, and here she was, with just two flowers. If Lillie had known this was going to happen, she would have gotten him much, much more!
âI-I, uh⊠wow⊠itâs so beautiful, Kyle. Thank youâŠâ She had barely even managed to get those words out, unable to refuse the gift or say something rude like âyou didnât have toâ. He looked so happy to be giving these, so this was clearly a gesture he wanted to make. Lillie didnât want to reject that kindness, or wipe that gentle smile off of his face⊠it was really nice to see.
She accepts the bouquet with a shy smile of her own, flushed cheeks growing even redder when she reads over the attached note. Was it normal, to feel like you were floating on air, just from reading a string of words?Â
Of course, that giddy feeling sobers a bit when she remembers her own gift, much simpler in comparison. âO-oh! I⊠have something for you, too. Happy Flower FestivalâŠâ Bashfully, she presents him with the pink rose and white delphinium, two flowers that she hoped would represent the appreciation she held for him. Her admiration for his never-ending optimism, and gratitude for how light and free she could be, whenever she was with him.
âYou looked surprised there, Lils. Youâre the only one I thought of giving flowers to.â That wasnât meant to flatter her or anything, he just meant it as is. He wanted to reciprocate Jake and Megâs flowers at home, but with Lillie? Regardless if she got him anything, he wanted to out of his way to give her something this Flower Festival. He just hope the lady from the City Hall arranged the right flowers to show her how he felt.
He curiously watched her expression as she read the note. It was a little embarrassing since heâs right in front of her but it was worth it as he sees her smiling in her own shy way as she finished reading it. Mission Accomplished.
He was about to ask if she wanted to come in so he can call Meg, but to his surprise, the flowers she had were for him. âTheyâre for me? Wow! I donât know what to say.â
He hides his silly grin behind closed fists. Her gift along with Jakeâs was the first gifts heâs had in a long while. One of the many cons of always moving from town to town was you donât establish any close enough bonds, and that meant no thought full gifts like these.Â
Jakeâs gift made him happy and light in the heart. But Lillieâs? He was just glad no one can heal his heart beat right now.
He took the two single flowers, admiring them while thinking how things have really changed since he decided to stay in Leuda for an extended amount of time. This was the kind of experience heâs been missing out ever since he lost his memories and moved around.
He still hasnât found his âpurposeâ, but moments like these made him temporarily forget all the things he lost and couldnât find.
âI love these, Lils. I donât really get much gifts, and if itâs from you, itâs just all the more special.â He placed the two flowers closer to his nose, exaggerating how he smelled them. It tickled his nose somewhat, but he covered that up with a hearty chuckle, âDidnât know flowers could make someone feel so pretty, he he.â
Tucking one of each flower behind his ears, he winked back at Lillie and confidently grinned, both hands on his cheeks as if heâs showing off his face-- particularly, the flowers on both his ears, âWhat do you think? Does it look good on me?â

@vagabondkyle;
[ â ] â Lillie did consider having these flowers delivered along with a note, tooâ it would certainly save her the embarrassment. But somehow, that felt much too impersonal. Kyle had always been so open and kind with her, and Lillie wanted to return that sentiment. Giving him flowers to show her appreciation wasnât such a big deal, so why was she making it into one? Geez⊠it was just giving flowers to a friend, same as what sheâd done with everyone else.
And yet, something about this particular instance felt decidedly⊠different. At the very least, she was pretty sure her heart hadnât been beating this fast, when she gifted her other friends.
Taking a deep breath, she steps up to Kyleâs⊠or rather, Margaret and her husbandâs, doorstep. She learned a while back that he was living with them, so that was the first place she thought to go. Plus, Margaret (and her husband, to an extent) was a friendly face, so Lillie felt a lot more comfortable giving her gift here.
Holding the pink rose and white delphinium in one hand, she curls her other into a fist and gives the door a few knocks. Hopefully Kyle was actually here, or else this would end up being pretty awkward.
Kyle should have already learned this from the Cherry Blossom Festival but he really should ask Lillie for her number or where she lived. He had a knack for wanting to give her gifts but he canât really do that if heâs still blanking out on where and how to give them to her.
Once again, he encountered the dilemma when he went to City Hall to buy her flowers but lacked the info he needed to have them delivered. The Broadcasting station was always an option, but he felt like it might get mixed in with other deliveries there.Â
So instead, he takes the bouquet he bought home and opted to just ask Meg. They were close, right? He only learned that recently but at least Kyle can finally get somewhere. As he rushed home, flowers in hand, he reaches the front door only to see Lillie herself knocking there. He spots two flowers in her hands and guessed she must be here to give flowers to Meg.Â
âLillie? Are you looking for Meg?â Kyle hid the bouquet behind him, but the quantity and bulkiness made it hard to hide. So he eventually does reveal it, holding it out to her. After all, they were for her.Â
It was a mix of orange, yellow, white, pink and red Gerberas, all wrapped in a light yellow paper and tied with a red ribbon. It took him a while to select the right flowers and he didnât want to have the meanings mixed up, but when he described how he saw Lillie, the City Hall lady insisted on these. She arranged the bouquet to have three of each orange, yellow and pink variants, with a single red Gerbera in the middle of two white ones. It made for a pretty bouquet so he didnât complain, but there was something about how she giggled about it that made him remember Gina. She was giddy back when he tried to buy her a gift, too. Odd.
"Before you do-- uh, I actually wanted to have these delivered to you, but didnât really know where I could send it. So your timing is perfect!â Presenting her with the bouquet with a soft grin on his face. Somehow, they almost end up crossing paths in the most perfect of times. âThanks for always being a fun person to be around with, Lils. Happy Flower Festival.â
There was even a small note attached, too. He originally planned to have it delivered after all.Â
To the person I look forward to seeing the most,
May these flowers bring a smile to your face as you always bring one to mine.
Happy Flower Festival, Lillie.
See you around :)

[ â ] â âYou have got to be fucking kidding me.â
Jake slaps a palm to his face and drags it down with a long, drawn out groan, Kyleâs incessant yapping ringing in his ears. Or was that Hunter? Sometimes, all the noise kind of blended together.
And ever since Kyle and his wolf moved in with him, Meg and Hunter, the house was never without noise. He could only imagine it would get worse once the baby came.
But that wasnât the issue right now. Right now, he was trying to figure out why in the actual fuck Kyle called him out to the entrance of the park like this. âWhat the hell do you mean weâre âgonna put on a performanceâ? THIS is what you called me out here for?âÂ
He scoffs in clear disgust. âIf Iâd known that, I wouldâve just kept on with the more important shit I was doing.â
Kyle had a great idea and he knew Meg would LOVE it! Hopefully... but in order to execute it, he needed to somehow convince Jake to participate too. His first attempt at convincing him didnât go so well and him scoffing at his face was proof of that. Unfortunately for Jake, Kyleâs not ready to give up just yet. âHear me out first, come on!âÂ
âThe babyâs coming soon, right? And I donât know personally know what kind of stress soon to be parents go through, but this must be a very nervous time for you and Meg-- especially for Meg! So I figured...â He takes a few steps back, whistling to get the attention of Hunter, Morgan and Lucina. The female wolf just stared back at Kyle, while the two more energetic wolves circled around Kyle with shared enthusiasm. â...why not do a little something for her, right?â
âI know sheâs on break right now from performing, but itâd be hilarious if WE performed something for her instead. We donât even have to be too good-- as long as it makes her happy, he he.â Kyle knew the magic words would be, do it for Meg, and heâs been doing just that since the moment he proposed the whole thing. ââCourse we need a bit of practice, and the park is totally perfect for that!â

[ â ] â Jake never cared much for these sorts of holidays personally, but he did love the way Margaretâs face would light up whenever he gave her gifts. So he heads down to City Hall after work to do just that, buying a bouquet of red roses for her, along with a single red alstroemeria for Kyle.
Not because he particularly cared about the idiot or anything, but because he didnât want to hear him bitching about ânot getting a gift, tooâ. Jake wouldnât have even considered it if the guy wasnât living with them.
So when he arrives back home, he gives them both their gifts, with a bit of a warm feeling in his chest. Was this how having a family felt like, he wondered?

Kyle didnât want to make deal out of the gifts he wanted to give both Jake and Meg for the Flower Festival, so he just them delivered along with the Cherry Blossom Blanket he bought from the last festival. Now was the perfect time to give it to them-- and it was still in theme, too! He sincerely hope theyâd like it
Some time during the Flower Festival, the Dezars would receive a bouquet of Yellow and Peach roses with a note and a wrapped up blanket.
Thank you for taking me in and being like family to me.
These flowers arenât enough to express my thanks, but I hope you like them.
I got you this blanket too for the baby. I know theyâll grow up to be a good kid if they have you both as parents.
