Bet it would be really funny if the engines on sodor were on TV and should one of them swear they have their own unique censor sound in the form of their whistles
Example
Thomas shunting trucks that like to slip breaks on:
"Are you f<Thomas whistle> kidding me I only moved two sidings over this is the 3rd f<Thomas whistle> time in 10 f<Thomas whistle> minutes
Your putting me behind schedule like I've not got s<Thomas whistle> to do
Keep this up and I'll f<things whistle> smash you to bits and use your pieces to start my morning fire!"

New Skarloey railway member
Meet Walter the porter
He was regauged to run on the 2 foot gauge from 3 foot and was brought over to help with running the blue mountain quarry to run trains around the site
Built as and industrial engine he likes shunting but every once in a while he'll get pulled down to the SKR if it's a slow day or if there's an influx of tourists in the valley to run freight and passengers.
As the only current American locomotive on the little railway he's a bit of a star as people like to catch a glimpse at the little outsider.
Adding to him being American it was a bit of a learning curve with different terminologies used.
He can be a grumbler about it
"Hey Luke can you switch these cars over there I'm busy with this lot. "
"Switch cars? Do you mean-"
"*grumble* Switch cars shunt trucks whatever you want to call it yes do that. "
They know what he means they just like to haze him.
He gets along well with duncan for they are both industrial purpose engines and like to bitch about things.
That's all to add now maybe I'll add more to this character eventually.

Alright alternate headcanon universe thing time: what if Henry post kipper was sent to Doncaster instead of Crewe and made into a proper A1/A3.
Henry was built off rejected Gresley plans so what if they said "well he's already mostly this engine may as well go all in"
Disclaimer: I am by no means a lore crafter or writer I just have little blurbs that pop in my head and just go: sodor what if.

Thomas under breath: that's right go you little bastard
Percy smokebox door swings out so he's looking behind: the fuck you say to me?
Thomas: SCREAMS

Welcome my newest member of my railworks NWR fleet Matthias the CR 191.
I have fallen in love with the engines of the caledonian railway and the 191 is my absolute favorite of that particular railway

RWS headcanon: Pip and Emma call gordon "gramps" or any variation.
Gordon makes a show of being annoyed but actually loves it and they know it.
(But he will deny it until his dying breath).

FOR THE GWR!!
Oh boy THIS scenario was such a hassle
The set up for this is it started as a pub debate where some LMS/SOUTHERN folk were like "those little 56xx can't make it up a 1:50 with 20 gravel cars and a breakeven." So now it's your job to prove them wrong, I love the implication that they set this up just to make a point.
Anyway you are tasked to haul said load cab first up the hills and the struggle is REAL, maxed out like 6 mph on those hills but I MADE IT!
(Side note I missed that I was to stop at a station before taking on the 1:50 so half way up I went back down just to prove I can do it from a dead stop.)

Edward (represented as a Caledonian 721 because that's the closest thing that looks like him in railworks) (locomotive from Caledonia works) pulling the express.
He's red because while they have them in blue I wanted the lamp irons to be uniform instead of having those cab side lights and it looks close enough to be furness Edward

My one gripe with thomas is why didn't henry have the rebuild before the crash? Because I know Awdry used it as a plot device to make henry no longer chronically sickly because he originally wanted him gone because many illustrators didn't get the C1 Atlantic look he wanted but people like him so he had to keep him but as to in universe reasons? Was it money? From what I gathered the fat director was a cheapo so why do it now that he has to throw a few thousand at fixing crashed cars anyway so I wouldn't think he would go all in like that so why not just patch him up without replacing everything from the ground up?
Maybe he cut a deal with stanier I don't know.
Or maybe I'm reading too deep into a world with sentient machines and it's not meant to make sense.

Percy was made in 1900
The GNR A1 (Gordon's basis) was built in 1922
Apparently gordon was a prototype of the A1 so let's say he was built in 21
Remembers throw away line I made in my first Percy post
Me: oh shit Percy really is old enough to be Gordon's dad

So to piggyback off of @joezworld "sodor and the internet" headcanon imagine if one of the locomotives was a podcast comedian like imagine Edward who as of today with a century of sodor surely he has some funny stories even if at the expense of his friends. (Also his style of comedy is closest to George Carlin
But the reason I'm posting this is because what if he doesn't say out right that he and his friends are engines and that everyone listening just assumes that he and everyone he talks about are engine drivers (except the island locals) (and maybe that was intentional sneaky blue shit)
So let's say that Edward gets a live show on sodor, people from the mainland come to see the show, the curtains open to see... a screen?
The screen turns on to show a live feed of Edward in a shed for the night and everyone that didn't already know it was Edward mentality blue screens.
Is it dumb? Maybe but this idea was stuck in my head like a song.
This was inspired by when I first realized George Carlin was the one who narrated the first few seasons.

Meet James as shown as a Johnson 3f, once again train simulator didn't have his basis so I compromised and made him a 3f from digital traction (I know they have a L&YR 27 his predecessor class but I liked the Belpaire firebox) and it's just cool to imagine "if not this what could he have been. " you know what I mean?
