Serious thought.
What if the girls got together one day after Mio or Azusa buys a DAW like Ableton for their laptop (something with effects like reverb and MIDI stuff). How would each of them mess around with it?
Yui: Probably would mess around around with it for a bit, then start recording her voice and giggling at herself on playback, then proceed to start layering effects curiously until her voice is a garbled robotic mess and then just proceed to laugh for five minutes. Given an instruction manual and the motivation to record the band digitally, she could probably master recording and mixing in less than an hour, putting Grammy-nominated songwriters to shame, no joke.
Azusa: Probably the one who would know the most about DAW’s and mixing giving her family’s interests. Would be the person to watch all the online tutorials and buy the plugins that she thinks would be the best, but after a couple minutes of staring at the knobs and buttons would just hit the defaults on a lot of standard effects like EQ and compression.
Ritsu: Fascinated by the different drum sounds, would probably break down laughing at the beatbox effect or the sound effects like the slide whistle. Is probably gonna use this to record and create more scary sounds for Mio
Mio: Accidentally presses the max volume button and gets freaked out, proceeds to cry in the corner. (Seriously tho, she and Azusa could create some awesome CD-quality stuff of the band if they actually concentrated. Mio’s got the most songwriting capability, so being able to arrange and move stuff around, fix small issues and basically shape the sound how she wants it would be amazing)
Mugi: Types in “Twinkle Twinkle” into the MIDI pad, then proceeds to make the cutest music box rendition of the song, and then goes and buys her own version of the software for herself, hooks up her piano to the computer, and starts messing around with it for ages. Her maids peek curiously into her room from time to time, wondering why Mugi’s keyboard is making “dog bark” noises and DJ tunes.
