VoxBox full of goodies!

I got a Voxbox with goodies from Influenster and I received it complimentary to try out! Here is what I received:

1) Kiss Eyelashes

2) A coupon for Sour Patch Kids

3) Invisibobble Hair bands

4) Eva NYC Clean it Up Shampoo and Primer

I haven’t tried any of these brands before, but I loved every product I received and I’m glad I got the opportunity to try something I would not of known about otherwise. Read below to hear my thoughts on each product!

1) The Kiss eyelashes were the first eyelashes I have ever tried on. It was hard getting them on since I’ve never done this before, and I was worried it was going to feel too weighted on my eyelids and I would just want them off. However once I finally got them on it wasn’t bad at all! I hardly felt them. I loved seeing what I looked like with eyelashes, though I would have gone with some lashes that were a little shorter! Other than the length of these, I enjoyed the experience!

2) I got a coupon to get either Fire or Freeze Sour Patch kids and I chose the freeze. It was such a weird feeling trying these because they actually made your mouth feel cool for a little while after eating them. The flavors were good, though once in a while there was an odd aftertaste but it wasn’t too bad. Between my husband and I, this bag was gone pretty quick!

3) The invisibobble hair bands were pretty interesting, I’ve never tried something like this before and now I love them! They feel so lightweight in your hair and it doesn’t feel like I’m damaging my hair at all. My hair is pretty thick so these had a little bit of a hard time holding my ponytail, but they are perfect for a bun!

4) I got two products from Eva NYC and I love them both. My hair is naturally oily so I have to be careful what shampoo I use, but this shampoo was perfect! My hair didn’t feel more oily after the shower, and my wavy hair was enhanced by using it. My hair also felt softer. The primer is great for when I’m doing anything with heat on my hair. It helps keep my hair from damage and also helps keep my hair feeling soft and healthy! Both of these products have a nice smell too. 

Overall my experience with this box was great! I was excited to open it and see what goodies I got and then try them out!

Testing out the DpHue ACV rinse!

I received a complimentary box from Influenster with a free product to test out!! This product was DpHue Apple Cider Hair Rinse. It’s a natural substitute for shampoo and conditioner, and helps bring out your hair color better while gently removing impurities! 

I have been wanting to try something more natural for my hair because shampoo is a harsher chemical, so I was excited to try this right away! My hair is naturally oily and after the first few rinses my hair was still a little oily. When you switch from using something harsher such as shampoo to using something more gentle, it will take your hair some time to get used to this. Your hairs natural oils need to balance out. For this reason I tested this product for a week, about 5 times. 

This product is super easy to use, you just squirt it onto your hair and rub it in! A lot easier than just trying to dump a cup of apple cider vinegar on your head (which I have definitely done before... 😜) I felt like I had to rinse a little longer to than shampoo to get it all the way out but that could just be me. After the 5th use I felt like my hair was where I wanted it to be. I was pretty happy! See the pictures below for the before and after! The left is the before on each picture. The right is after the week of use!

What I really liked about this product besides it being more gentle and natural for your hair, is that it made my natural waves stand out better! It also brought out my color more! Overall my experience with this product was great! If you have naturally oily hair like me, you just need to give it a little time for your hair to get used to it! Once you balance your hair out then this product can replace your other hair products!
