I was told that the ideal place to store extra hardwood floor planks is in the room where they may someday be used. That was a puzzle, but I finally decided to make wall shelves using Ikea's Pershult System for $11 each.

Removing veneer on old piano. Next, patch holes, then conver in spar varnish. I'm planning to put a potted vegetable garden on this.

I put an extra piece of trim in the front of the desk, and moved the wooden side support forward to help out support the extra trim. I'm having the side pieces stick out just a bit in the back so there will be a gap for cords even after I secure it to the wall.

Piano desk: Ikea legs were wobbley so I had to stabilize them. Also planning to secure it to wall using an L bracket.
