One of the most underrated qualities and/or attributes in a friend is ‘easy-going’. People are going to hurt you and people are going to disappoint you, even those you hold closest to your heart. But you need to learn to let the little things go and not take everything personally. Not everything that affects you is done in spite of you. If you’re going to make a big deal of everything and play the victim, your friends will grow tired of your drama and negativity. You’ll have a high turnover of friends and find yourself pretty lonely at times. Recognise that people have a lot going on in their lives and more often than not make decisions based on their own benefit, not necessarily your detriment. Lower your expectations, forgive, forget, and move on.
