Thinking about fantasy high AU where nearly everything in junior year is the same but Adaine changed her last name to O’Shaughnessey and when the elves back in Falinel found out the elven oracle has the same last name as the Cleric who is single handedly reforming the church of Galicaea wild rumors spread about a love affair between the two where they ended up getting married and when the bad kids go to the Wolfsong Revival camp Adaine has to now deal with all these elves who swear she is a part of this new Cleric’s ever growing sapphic harem of powerful elven women which only adds to the already insane WLW mess that Tracker, Kristen, and Princess Naradriel are in do you see the vision?

your fig character study!! tell me about it!

My fig character study!! @teenagerebellion thank you for giving me a reason to yap about this. I think it's SO interesting and very teenage girl for Fig to be so ride or die for her friends that she dedicates herself to a goddess that is essentially her opposite in many ways. The period of time where Fig was a paladin of Cassandra was brief and colored by her interactions with Porter and Zara but she said it herself, it was more for Kristen than anything else! The shift from Cassandra to Ankarna, this cool calm twilight god to a firey justice god feels so meaningful and reflective of Fig's transition from peppy wood elf cheerleader to punk rock rebellious tiefling.

The other thing I'm focusing on a bit is how much she really emphasized that Wanda Childa was small? I have no idea if this is how Emily Axford intended it or not, or if it just never got mentioned because it's a comedy show, but following the cheerleader/body changes/teenage girl theme. It felt a bit ED coded to me. And I think exploring that aspect is something that's interesting and worthwhile to do in fic where it would have been out of place in the main show.

Also the entire thing is in second person because I started it a few days after rereading you could have my heart (and i would break it for you) by @gilears and @grasslandgirl and I thought it would be fun to try and write in a similar style.

just got emotional imagining all the tiny ways the bad kids love each other. all of them have worn gorgug's hoodie at one point. it's basically threadbare but they trade off casting mending. kristen has tried to use fig's skateboard in the parking lot after school and ate complete shit on the concrete. they all chanted for riz to try it too and he did a bunch of sick ass tricks he didn't know he could do. they all have drawers in random rooms of seacaster manor for their stuff despite never formally agreeing on it. they sit out under the thistlespring tree on weekends and project tv shows and youtube videos onto the side of the hangvan. riz brings a stupid tea-cortado for kristen in the mornings for their campaign meetings without being asked. fabian's pool is open to them no questions asked, just shoot a crystal message so he can unlock the gate (unless it's riz, he likes to scurry over it or pick the lock, for enrichment). without speaking adaine grabs some hot sauce packets from her jacket the minute fig sits down at their lunch table. yknow what I mean.

We always agreed on everything - or even if we didn't, we understood where the other was coming from, but even then it was childish and small. This was the one thing we couldn't agree on, and in the end, it was the only thing that mattered - that you chose death, and I chose rage. Of course I chose rage, of course you chose death - there is no world where we both pick love.
