"Whoa... What happened to you...?"

Remi would be standing in front of a Lucario. One that was blind, with both eyes scarred shut. This Lucario wore a white kimono with a cherry blossom pattern, and a black jacket draped across their shoulders. They had a katana resting on their hip, and a trick gauntlet on their left paw. But this Lucario was different, having hints of black fur through their fur, and a large red mane, and body type, like a Zoroark's.

It was Noel, and she smiled. "Solaris said that Aurelio wanted to save me, so his soul is merged with mine. Resulting in... Well, this." She motioned to her body, and to her hair. "It's odd... I don't have feelers, but I still technically do... It's just at the end of my ponytail where the orb sits."

Remi's eyes sparkled with wonder, and she bounced up and down on her feet. "Oooh! Does this mean you can use illusions?"

Noel shook her head. "No... Though that would be cool, yeah? I just inherited Aurelio's features. And now?"

She threw her paws up, then struck a pose. "I'm looking fabulous..."

Remi clapped her paws together. "Yeeees, girl. SLAY!"

Meanwhile, Morello and Florence watched the two bond and reconnect. "You got... Any idea what they are doing...?" Morello asked.

"It's hard to say that they're 'being kids'..." Florence said, chuckling. "But, it does seem like they are enjoying each other's company."

"True, true..." Morello went quiet, then smiled. "50 bucks says they get together."

Florence looked shocked at the Lycanroc. "Are you for real?" She asked. Then she gave a high five to him. "Don't low ball me with stakes. 75 bucks."

Morello chuckled. "You're on."

NAME: Zane (VA: Ray Chase - Noctis Lucis Caelum) TITLE: “The One Known as Lightning” HEIGHT: 4' SPECIES: Marowak/Necrozma, Human (Former) BIRTHDAY: 10/31 GENDER: Non-Binary SEXUALITY: Demi Gay FIGHT STYLE: European Sword Martial Arts WEAPON: Thunderseal ABILITY: Lightning Rod STATUS: Deceased (Cause of Death - supernova due to internal Necrozma core destabilizing; Ageless at the time of death)

Zane was once a human, depressed and living day to day. That was until they had a sudden seizure, and woke up in the far future as a Cubone. Here they met and befriended Solaris, a Charmander with an ambition, and the two would form a rescue team together. The pair went on many grand adventures together, and through this Zane gained a sense of purpose and the comfort of family. During the situation with getting Cadenza home, Zane was stabbed. However, their Necrozma core - formed when they absorbed Necrozma's light - was punctured. Zane had only a matter of days to live, and on their way to tell Solaris the news the core grew more and more unstable. Zane had to flee to space, where the core entered meltdown and burst their body. No trace of Zane's body, or soul, remained. The only remnants of Zane are the brilliant silver nebula that paints the sky, and the memories of them that everyone in Flora carries.

NAME: Vance (VA: Vic Chao - Kenshi) TITLE: “Unparalleled Blind Samurai” HEIGHT: 4'3" SPECIES: Lucario BIRTHDAY: 12/01 GENDER: Male SEXUALITY: Asexual Bi-romantic FIGHT STYLE: Iaido WEAPON: Minugahana (Aura-enhanced katana) ABILITY: Steadfast STATUS: Deceased (Cause of Death - Fatally stabbed in his smithing shop; age 26 at time of death)

Vance had a hard and arduous life. He was blinded at a young age, and was bullied and excommunicated by his mother and brother. He eventually was taken in by another Lucario, named Jonas, who trained him and helped him to see with his aura sight. He would eventually seek out Team Destiny, and joined the team. Vance found success with the team, and even found a mate and had a child, Noel. He retired after the fight with Necrozma, founding his own smithing shop in Flora. He was, unfortunately, assaulted and stabbed by a gang led by Pavarotti in his own shop. Noel found Vance's body, and buried him and his blade at his and Aura's mountain home in Snapdragon.

NAME: Xan (VA: Matthew Mercer - Fei Long (Street Fighter IV)) TITLE: “Dancer Engulfed in Flame” AGE: 35 HEIGHT: 5'9" SPECIES: Blaziken, Human (Former) BIRTHDAY: 11/06 GENDER: Male SEXUALITY: Bi FIGHT STYLE: Capoeira WEAPON: None ABILITY: Speed Boost STATUS: Deceased (cause of death - soul rendered beyond saving due to LaPlante; soul energy merged with Kita; Age 35 at time of death)

Xan was the guildmaster at the guild in Alstroemeria.  He was running it until he got his memories back and reconnected with his brother Zane.  Xan then stepped down, wanting to get back into adventuring and joining up with Team Destiny.  Xan would retire from the team after the fight against Sabbath, but would return some years later to continue helping the team.  His use of Capoeira is second to none, and his kicks will leave marks on his target.  Much like his brother, Xan is a bit antisocial, but is far more outgoing than Zane ever was.

NAME: Urie (VA: Mark Gatha - Domon Kasshu (Mobile Fighter G Gundam)) TITLE: “Mighty Muay Thai Master” AGE: 22 HEIGHT: 2'4" SPECIES: Mawile BIRTHDAY: 04/12 GENDER: Male SEXUALITY: Bi FIGHT STYLE: Muay Thai WEAPON: None ABILITY: Hyper Cutter STATUS: Deceased (cause of death - soul rendered beyond saving due to LaPlante; soul energy merged with Cadenza; Age 22 at time of death)

Urie helps Team Neo Destiny to the best of his ability.  After the riots, his kicks became weaker due to the strain on them during the aftermath, though he does train his legs daily to get them fighting fit.  The Mawile spends his off days baking and cooking for both Team Neo Destiny and for Zane and their family.  He has plans to open a bakery once he retires from rescue work.

NAME: Miles (VA: Luci Christian - Nami) TITLE: “Sassy Supportive Blood Sister” HEIGHT: 2' SPECIES: Sylveon BIRTHDAY: 05/26 GENDER: Female SEXUALITY: Bi FIGHT STYLE: None WEAPON: None ABILITY: Cute Charm STATUS: Deceased (Cause of Death - punched through the stomach saving Urie; Age 19 at time of death)

Miles was Urie's blood sibling. She was a part of a famous family of thieves, known to steal from wealthy Pokemon and give back to poor and struggling families. The pair made a blood oath when they met at the orphanage the two lived at, with Miles being sent to it for her own safety. After that orphanage burned down, Miles and Urie became displaced, and traveled the continent of Flora looking for a spot to live at. The pair landed in Alstroemeria, and they were taken in by Solaris. Their lives were busy, but overall peaceful. That was until an Urshifu named Sabbath, a member of a gang that her family regularly stole from, nabbed Miles and took her away to be executed. Urie and the rest of the team would prevent the execution, but in a last ditch effort Miles saved her blood sibling by throwing herself in front of a fatal punch. She died that day due to her wounds, and she is buried next to the team's home.

NAME: Angel (VA: Dawn M. Bennett - Kale) TITLE: “The Gentle Yet Giant Beast” HEIGHT: 8' SPECIES: Silvally BIRTHDAY: 06/13 GENDER: Female SEXUALITY: Asexual FIGHT STYLE: None WEAPON: None ABILITY: RKS System STATUS: Deceased (Cause of Death - Suicide via Self Destruct; Age ??? at time of death)

Angel was a genetic experiment, created by Pokemon wanting to resurrect a long extinct species. She was deemed unusable due to her only taking the Fairy-type memory, and was set to be killed off with all other experiments. She went on a rampage, and destroyed the lab she grew up in. She was found and rescued by Zane and Solaris, and she agreed to join the team since she had no other place to go. When Miles was taken, Angel stayed back with Misha and beck to defend the house should any of Sabbath's men show up. With Beck and Misha in critical condition, and with her surrounded at all sides by ghost types, Angel sacrificed her self and used Self Destruct to scare them away, knowing that her attack wouldn't harm them. She died standing up, and with a smile on her beak.

NAME: Aurelio (VA: Ogie Banks - Venom (Guilty Gear Xrd)) TITLE: “Master of Ghastly Darkness” AGE: 26 HEIGHT: 5’ SPECIES: Zoroark BIRTHDAY: 01/25 GENDER: Male SEXUALITY: Bi FIGHT STYLE: Gale Claw (similar to Southern Dragon Kung Fu) WEAPON: None ABILITY: Illusion STATUS: Deceased (cause of death - soul rendered beyond saving due to LaPlante; Merged with Noel; Age 26 at time of death)

Aurelio is a runaway kid, and was always on the wrong side of the law.  That was until he was placed on community service with Team Destiny.  He was captured by the government and sentenced to death, but Zane and the team came to rescue him, even though it cost them their reputation.  Aurelio then changed for the better, getting to know everyone on the team and working on missions.  With Zane now gone, Aurelio has decided to step up and return to the limelight, hoping to do right by his first true friend.  Even though he has gotten better, he still has the knack to steal like he used to, on rare occasions.

NAME: Isaak (VA: Sam Riegel - Ky Kiske) Height: 5'4" SPECIES: Delphox BIRTHDAY: 06/26 GENDER: Genderless SEXUALITY: Gay MOVES: Magic Room, Telekinesis, Mystical Fire, Summon Familiar, Cast Spell ABILITY: Magician STATUS: Deceased (Cause of Death - Soul absorbed into the Tree of Souls; Ageless at time of death)

Isaak was the God of Life, being given the title after Flora raised into the sky.  After Xerneas created the Tree of Souls, she transferred her powers to the Delphox, becoming mortal once more and perishing shortly after.  When the Clairvoyant Disease spread to Jirachi, Isaak stayed to fight them. After the fight, Isaak was infected, and they retreated into the Tree of Souls to gain power. Cadenza would defeat them with the help of Jirachi, but Arceus punished Isaak for breaking the spoken word of all of the Gods - to never willingly throw yourself into harm's way lest the delicate balance of the world begin to crumble. Isaak was stripped of their godhood, with it being given to Alisa, and was ordered to sacrifice themselves to the Tree of Souls. The Delphox's soul was sent into the Tree, and the door to Heaven's Gate, the world inside of the Tree, was closed permanently to prevent further harm to the souls inside.

NAME: Heart (VA: Stephanie Young - Nico Robin) TITLE: “Wielder of Deafening Flames” HEIGHT: 5'01" SPECIES: Typhlosion (Hisuian) BIRTHDAY: 06/19 GENDER: Female SEXUALITY: Lesbian FIGHT STYLE: Aikido WEAPON: None ABILITY: Flash Fire STATUS: Deceased (cause of death - stabbed by Zane while they were having a hallucination; Age 20 at time of death)

Heart, born both deaf and mute, was displaced at a young age. Her parents had mysteriously vanished one night, leaving the then Quilava on her own. She traveled on her own to find them, and learned to fend for herself, and had incredible scavenging abilities. She was found by Team Destiny, and was given a temporary home until she located her parents. Then one day she learned that her parents were killed as prey for a Zoroark, leaving her without a family and without a home to return to. Avett then offered her permanent residence at the team's home, which she graciously agreed to. She lived relatively quietly, leaving to live temporarily with Beck and Misha until she got stronger. She returned as a Typhlosion, and began to help the team, and entered a relationship with Remi. She had a hearing aid, and learned how to speak via telepathy. Though her return to the team was short lived, as she was killed accidentally by Zane while they were having an intense hallucination brought on by the Necrozma living in the Marowak's body. Her body was buried next to Miles and Angel.

NAME: Dizzy (VA: Kayleigh McKee - Testament) TITLE: “Legendary Tomboy Boxer” AGE: 25 SPECIES: Lopunny HEIGHT: 7'0" GENDER: Trans (Female to Male) BIRTHDAY: 10/21 SEXUALITY: Gay FIGHT STYLE: Lui He Ba Fa WEAPON: None ABILITY: Cute Charm STATUS: Deceased (Cause of Death - soul rendered beyond saving due to LaPlante; Age 26 at time of death)

The last citizen of Plácido, an island that was off of the coast of Flora. The island had a strict rule enforced - any females born into a family are to be excommunicated or slaughtered. When Dizzy was first hatched, and their parents found out that their baby was a girl, they were distraught. Unwilling to let their first born go so easily, they raised Dizzy as a boy, and hid their true identity from the island. Some knew, and would either bully them or hit on them to make them upset. To defend themselves, and to prove their worth as a man, Dizzy learned the Lui He Ba Fa martial art, and has powerful punches as a result. Now that their home is gone, Dizzy vows to find the Pokemon responsible and make them pay. They will become defensive if a man tries to hit on them and misgenders them, usually resulting in a swift punch.

NAME: Nobuo (VA: Steve Blum - TOM) TITLE: “The Ninja with Two Types” SPECIES: Greninja HEIGHT: 5'6" GENDER: Male BIRTHDAY: 03/21 SEXUALITY: Gay FIGHT STYLE: Ninjitsu WEAPON: Water-based Kunai and Shuriken ABILITY: Protean STATUS: Deceased (Cause of Death - Soul rendered beyond saving due to LaPlante; Merged with Kiske, age 22 at time of death)

The younger of two children born from a Greninja and Cinderace.  His parents died in Lotus Tower when he was young, and he and his sibling were taken in by Ben, who trained them.  Nobuo is fiercely loyal, and would do whatever it takes to protect those he cares about.  Because of his heritage, he is able to use both Water and Fire type attacks.  Though his appearance shows one who is gruff and stoic, he is very caring and will not stop until the job is done.

And with that, the main story has concluded. It has been a wild four years, and I thank you all for reading along with these stories and shenanigans that go on here.

I am not going anywhere, btw. Just know that stories may still happen, but will be one off and smaller in scale. Also, expect some more RP stuff now that the story is wrapped.

Once again, thank you all for joining the story for the past four years. It's been a hell of a ride, and now the team can (mostly) live in peace without the danger of the world ending.

How long has it been? Decades? Centuries? Millenia? I don’t know. I am unsure. I have seen every passing second of Gaea, of Andromeda, and even of Atropos and Gemini. And I have witnessed it several times. Hundreds of times, even.

Just like Zappa said, it’d take a while. But I created the best version of Gaea. Of the 4th Gaea.

Gaea now consists of a single continent - Infinity. It may sound crazy, but the idea of bringing everyone together has worked out for the better. Maybe LaPlante rubbed off a bit on me… I don’t know. Perhaps I’m out of my mind after watching the creation of the universe so many times. Well… I say there’s one continent, but… I wanted to keep Flora as its own continent. With Team Destiny’s popularity, more and more trouble arose. It felt right to make Flora a little unknown, like it used to be.

As for the others whose souls were taken, well… I could only do so much. The souls had been without sustenance for so long. Had we taken longer to reach Infinity they never would have made it. So I had to combine. To meld the souls. I was able to speak to those souls to get their input before I went through with it. Noel and Aurelio merged so Noel could survive. Can offered what little power they had so Kita could make it. Nobuo merged with Kiske so Kiske could live happily with Audie. For Phoebe, Cadenza, Beck, and Misha, I had to use a bit of my own power to help them survive.

But that got me thinking… I don't want to lose more friends. I’ve lost all of my related family already. So I decided to make everyone a singularity. A fixed point in time. So if something bad happens… They can be fixed up in a jiffy. Which means that… Team Destiny is truly dead. We are now Team Singularity. We work with the Gods to keep the world safe.

Mystery Dungeons are also a thing of the past, in a way. They are like Flora's in that they do not shift. Wild Pokemon still roam them, though - it’s the one thing I couldn’t contain.

But the world is finally safe once again… Thanks to the help of my friends, myself, and Zane.

Zane… I know you started writing this book… I found it left in our old home and kept hold of it in my bag. Because I knew someday I’d want to finish it. And here it is - the end of the book. I was thinking of titling it ‘Blooming Destiny'.

There is one more part I’ll write in here. It just happened at the Caravan. It’s a fitting end to the journey we’ve had. But even though this is the end of this here, we aren’t going away any time soon. We’ll be waiting for your call. Because we are a rescue team first and foremost. We don’t want your undying loyalty, just your trust in us. Keep your eyes to the sky, and in your towns. If you need help, just tell us. And if you just want to say hi, we’ll respond.

Solaris sat quietly in their bar, the patrons drinking their drinks and having a good time. Florence, Audie, and Remi all pitched in to help. The Charizard grabbed an acoustic guitar, tuning it, then beginning to play a tune and sing.

The bar grew silent, as everyone focused on Solaris as they sang.

Solaris began to feel what he was playing, nodding his head and beginning to tap his guitar to keep time.

More patrons continued to come into the Caravan, pausing to listen to the Charizard sing. Ann was one of those who entered, and she smiled. “Dad…”

The crowd began to sing along with Solaris as they continued to play

The Charizard paused, and his playing grew quiet for a moment

The guitar built up, and crescendoed to some applause and more singing from the crowd. It felt like Solaris was putting their all into the song.

BOOK II END/MAIN STORY END

Louis would be the first to charge, jumping up and performing a diagonal slash downwards with his blade. “Hizansen!”

LaPlante dodged out of the way of the attack, using her claws to swipe at the Marowak. He too dodged her attack. But unbeknownst to her, she had rolled directly into the path of Solaris’ attack. He wound his palms back and pushed them forward while slamming his foot against the ground. LaPlante was knocked off balance by the attack, stumbling backwards as she growled.

“Worthless vermin!” LaPlante shouted, raking her claws against the ground and sending a wave of energy at Solaris. Louis would jump in front of the attack, taking it for him and sending the Marowak tumbling backwards.

“Louis!” Ann shouted, then angrily looked at LaPlante and slammed a burning fist into the ground, which sent a small wave of fire at the Ceruledge. “Power Wave!”

The wave would be blocked by LaPlante, who chuckled and looked at Ann. “Girlie… You’ll have to do better than that!”

Ann then coated her fist in fire, and punched the air while jumping forward. “Burning!”

The punch connected, and the Charizard followed it up with a spinning kick that traveled directly upwards. “Rising Tackle!”

LaPlante would be sent up into the air, where Louis would jump back in, forming an icy arrow and bow, then shooting the arrow down, connecting with the Ceruledge and freezing her solid. “Hiyoku Getsumei!”

Solaris and Ann grouped back together, when she looked at him. “Dad, let’s do the thing! Not the geyser, but the other one!”

Solaris smiled, and coated his arm in silver flames. “Sounds like a plan to me!”

Ann then also coated her arm in flames. The pair then both wound their fists back, lone leg each in the air as they stood back to back. “Are you okay?” The pair then both rushed forward, their punches connecting. They then both blasted LaPlante with concentrated fire energy that sent her sailing backwards and tumbling to the ground. “Buster Wolf!”

LaPlante growled once more, standing up, albeit shakily. “Fools! All will fall before a true God!” She shouted, quickly closing the distance and beginning to slash at Ann. She blocked the attacks, though her arms received several cuts and being rendered unable to attack.

“Get off of her!” Solaris shouted, grabbing hold of LaPlante and slamming her head first into the moon’s surface. Solaris then jumped back to Ann, with Louis also checking in on her.

“You… You will not… DefEAT ME!” LaPlante shouted, stumbling to her feet and nearly falling over. Her voice cracked and she grunted as she attempted to stand up.

Louis held his sword out. “Guys… Let’s end this how Zane would. For them.”

“Agreed.” Ann said.

Solaris nodded and got into position. “Match your energy with mine. We’ll do this together.” Solaris began to charge energy, as did the others. Silver lightning began to crackle around the trio, and a shield of energy formed in front of them. LaPlante looked up, and her eyes widened in horror.

Solaris smiled. “I see the fear in your eyes. How does it feel? To feel the same fear felt by all of those you killed!” Louis took the lead, holding his sword in front of him. Then Solaris followed then Ann followed.

“RIDE THE LIGHTNING!!!” The sight of the wall of energy left LaPlante speechless. She was plowed through by the trio, the overwhelming lightning energy knocking her out.

The energy dissipated, and the trio all skid to a halt several hundred feet away, breathing a sigh of relief.

LaPlante would come to after several minutes. She weakly looked up, seeing Solaris standing over her. She slowly stood up and coughed in pain. “What… Do you expect me to beg for forgiveness…?”

“I expect you to feel some kind of remorse. But I doubt I’m getting that from you.” Solaris said coldly.

“Heheheh… You learn fast.” The Ceruledge looked down. “Well? Be done with me. Kill me. You beat me fair and square.”

Solaris continued to look down silently, holding a claw out. After tense moments, Solaris grabbed onto the Ceruledge’s arm. “For the suffering you have caused… for the lives you have taken… You will receive all of my ire… My pain… I will do what Zappa could never do…” The claw that held onto LaPlante began to glow silver, with the silver energy beginning to travel up her arm and all over her body.

“...Death Magnetic…”

The silver energy began to spread further over her body, and light began to emanate from her. LaPlante screamed in pain as her body began to fold in on itself. Her body folded and folded until it was spherical. Solaris then grabbed onto the sphere and crushed it in his claw.

Many purple wisps floated into the air and dissipated, now leaving the team in a tense silence.

“Solaris… You did it… You won…” Remi said, gasping in relief.

“No, Rem. We did it. As a team. As the last hope of this universe and all others connected to us.”

Everyone collectively sighed in relief that everything was over. Audie looked over at the blue energy that surrounded them. “But Gaea is gone… We won’t be able to return home. Where do we go from here?”

Solaris sighed, his claws once again beginning to glow, but blue this time. “That’s… Up to me.” He said, pushing a strange blue energy out at everyone on the team. Florence, Remi, Morello, and the others froze in place, like one had taken a picture. “I have to rebuild the world. I don't know how long it will take, but… I have to do this alone.”

Solaris then turned and walked away from the team. “Solaris… You have the building blocks of the universe. I will guide you as long as I can.” Zappa's voice had returned to Solaris' head as he looked out at the empty space.

“How long…? How long will it take?”

“It could be years, it could be millenia. But you have the ability to shape the universe how you see fit. Do not settle for the first draft. Make changes until it’s how you want the world to be.”

Solaris would bring his claws together, then clapped. It once again reverberated through space, and he smiled. “Then let’s get to work.”

LaPlante took the initiative, charging at Solaris with her claws wound back. Solaris would counter by thrusting his palms forward in an attempt to strike her stomach. Both palms made contact, sending LaPlante tumbling backwards. She skid to a halt, growling as she got back up. She blasted purple fire at the Charizard, and chuckled when the flames engulfed him.

Her chuckling was short lived, as Solaris walked out of the flames unharmed. His claws began to glow a brilliant silver, and he closed the distance between them and thrust his palms forward. As the attack connected, a strange purple energy shot out of LaPlante, and formed into an orb that was absorbed into Solaris..

“What was…” Solaris whispered to himself.

“That… Was Palkia…”

Solaris looked around. “Zappa…? Where are you?”

“I’m a part of your mind… For the time being. I will fade away over time. What you just did was knock Palkia’s soul out of LaPlante. She no longer has control over Space. Palkia took refuge within you.”

Solaris remained silent, as he turned his head back to see LaPlante begin to stand up. He noticed her left purple claw had faded. “So… If I use what I just did again, then…”

“... Then Dialga’s soul will be ejected as well. Then LaPlante will only have her own power. And you will have control of Infinity.”

LaPlante looked at her left claw and growled. “You… What did you do…?”

Solaris chuckled, and took on a looser fighting stance - his Zui Quan stance. “I just got one step closer to beating you. You should be worried.”

“You disgusting mortal! I do not fear you!” She shouted, charging once more at the Charizard. She swiped at him multiple times, but each swipe was dodged with ease. Solaris would counter with a swift strike with the heel of his palm, which connected with the bottom part of her jaw.

She recoiled back in pain, and growled once again. “Fine! Just try and dodge this, then!” She held her right claw up, becoming coated in a strange blue energy. She then disappeared, beginning to move quickly in an attempt to disorientate the Charizard. “Well, Solaris? Can you dodge all of this!? Or are your mortal eyes too slow to keep up!?”

Solaris closed his eye, and took several deep breaths. “Focus. Predict her movements. You know where she will be… And when the perfect time to strike is!”

His right claw was coated in silver flames, and began to grow the same brilliant silver from before. He waited patiently, then quickly opened his eye when he saw his chance. “... Red…” He wound his fist back, readying his punch. Then, as quickly as he wound his fist back, he brought it down.

“... BARCHETTA!” His punch landed true, knocking LaPlante into the moon’s surface. The strike was so powerful that it completely destroyed a quarter of the moon, sending debris upwards and leaving a permanent crater in the moon.

Solaris floated just above the crater, glaring at LaPlante, who was knocked out deep within it. Zappa would break the Charizard’s focus. “Solaris… Infinity! Destroy it now!”

Solaris nodded, and turned to face the giant planet. He held his two claws out, seeming to grasp the celestial body with an invisible force. The planet began to shrink in size, and began to stretch and warp as it shrunk, and Solaris’ claws grew closer together. After some time, Solaris’ claws shook as he struggled to keep his grip on the planet. With one final push, his hands came together as a loud clap echoed through space.

Infinity closed on itself completely, and blue energy spread out throughout the solar system and beyond. Silver particles also traveled outwards, with a majority returning to the nebula created by Zane.

Louis watched on entranced from a distance, not noticing that Ann had come to and was also watching. She looked around. “What… Where’s dad…? And what just happened…?”

Louis pointed directly at Solaris. “That’s your Dad… Having absorbed Zappa’s power… And I think we just witnessed the Big Bang…”

Solaris began to bring the rock holding the rest of the team back down to the moon, and began to expand the air bubble around them so they could move around more. “Dad… You did it…” Ann said.

“Good to see you okay, Ann.” Solaris replied, smiling at her. “You aren’t hurting too bad, are you?”

Ann stepped off of the chunk of rock, being helped by Louis. “I’m good. Just a bit sore…” She looked down at Louis. “Dude, I’m okay.”

“I’m not letting my little sis out of my site after the stunt that LaPlante pulled.” Louis said, giving her a smile back.

The Charizard could do nothing but smile back. “Well… We can breathe a little easier now that Infinity is gone. What happened to LaPlante?”

“About to end all of your lives…”

Solaris turned to see LaPlante shuffling out of the crater, growling in frustration. “You… You filthy, insignificant worms! You… Destroyed my creation!”

Solaris smirked. “Do you believe I’m not a mortal now? Your powers of Time and Space are gone. Infinity is gone. You’re through.”

“No… I am not through! I will be done when all of you are dead!” LaPlante put her fists up. “The beautiful power of a God will not be trounced by sinful mortals like you!”

Solaris looked on, when Louis drew his blade. “Let me help. You’ve done a lot of heavy work.”

Ann then also stepped up. “Me too. I want to get some pay back.”

“Ann… Are you well enough to fight?” Solaris asked.

“Yeah, I’m good. It hurts a little, but it isn’t uncomfortable or hard to move.”

“What are you blabbering about? Come on!” LaPlante shouted.

“Yeah, yeah,” Solaris assumed the fighting stance he learned from his master Ben those years ago. “Let’s show her how Team Destiny handles things!”

Solaris continued to look back, looking at Ann and her motionless body. “N… No… My daughter…” He whispered, gritting his teeth in anger.

“No…” Zappa whispered. “Solaris’ mind… It’s dark… Clouded… I might have to do things… Invasively…”

Solaris’ claw slid off of Zappa’s side. “Ann… What have you… What did you…”

LaPlante chuckled. “This is solely on her for trying to play the hero.”

Zappa swiped a hoover at LaPlante to get her away, then grabbed onto Solaris’ shoulders. “Sol… This is not how I wanted to give you my power, but it’s now or never.” The God said. He heard Solaris give a grunt of acknowledgement and saw him give a quick glance up before they began to glow brightly. Their form turned into pure light, and traveled into the Charizard’s body, leaving no trace of the Deer God left.

After Zappa’s form disappeared, Solaris let out a distorted roar, making him sound like a dragon, as he was engulfed in bright light. “LAPLANTE!!!!!!”

The Ceruledge shielded her eyes, and her normally confident look had turned into one of shock and annoyance. “What is-”

Floating before LaPlante was the same Charizard as before, but with bright silver scales and silver flames. He looked like a Mega X Charizard, with silver flames billowing out of his mouth that formed into a halo above his head, but he was considerably skinnier, and with a slightly muscular frame. What would be a blue belly was instead yellow. His whiskers grew out longer, the hair on his head turned silver.

“You… You dare to imitate a God? You’ll pay for this blasphemy!” She turned towards Louis, who was at Ann’s side trying to tend to her. “Your friends will be first!” She shouted, beginning to speed towards the group. But just before she would reach them, she froze in place. In fact, everything had frozen in place. Her eyes twitched as she looked around. “What is… What is this…?”

Solaris slowly floated down to LaPlante’s right, glaring at her with his one good eye. “LaPlante… I am not imitating, or playing God.” Solaris grabbed her head, and leaned down to whisper, “I am God.”

Time resumed moving, and Solaris slammed LaPlante’s head into the moon, creating a large crater, then buried her in rubble to buy some time. He quickly made his way to the team. “Ann… Is she…”

Audie looked up at Solaris for a moment, and shook his head. “No. She’s still breathing. But without Avett, there’s only so much I can do here.”

“Here. Let me try…” Solaris knelt down, and placed a claw over the wound LaPlante left. His claw began to glow brightly, and sealed the wound shut on both sides.

“Whoa…” Audie said. “Solaris… What did… Zappa do to you…?”

Solaris looked down at his claws, balling them into fists a couple of times. “I think they gave me all of their power… Kind of like how Isaak took over Xerneas’ spot… I’ve taken over Zappa’s.”

Solaris paused and looked back at the crater where LaPlante was left at, noticing the rubble beginning to move. He stood back up, and shrunk the air bubble to be just around Ann and the others, then he cut out a chunk of rock and levitated it. “I’m going to send you to a safe distance, near where our friends’ souls are. I’ll handle LaPlante.”

Florence looked down at Solaris. “We aren’t going anywhere. We fight as a team.”

“No. I’m giving you an order. As the leader of the team.” He gave Florence an assured look, then nodded. “I’ll be fine. I won’t lose…”

The Umbreon appeared ready to protest, but sat back and nodded in agreement. Solaris sent the team off to a safe distance, just as LaPlante shot out from under the rubble and stared down Solaris from a distance.

“So… Zappa gave you their power…” She sized Solaris up, then scoffed. “Mortals should not be interfering with Gods. It’s revolting to think that a God would have to stoop so low.”

“I am no longer mortal, LaPlante. I’ve told you as much already.” Solaris began to circle around, with LaPlante following suit. “Zappa entrusted me with their power, and I am going to use it to the fullest.”

“Tch… If you’re taking my brother’s spot, then wouldn’t that mean that you’re picking up where they left off? Zappa did have a rule - that Gods wouldn’t put themselves into danger…”

Solaris continued to stare down LaPlante, growling as he listened. “That was Zappa… This is me. Since it’s just me and you left as Gods, I say it’s time for a change of rule.”

LaPlante chuckled. “Just think, Solaris… Ruling a whole world… Together with me… Watching the people squirm under our feet… Doesn't it sound appealing?”

“No… It doesn’t.” Solaris replied. “As Gods, we should be protecting others… Not harming them. We shouldn’t be making them afraid of us. Afraid of what will happen if we don’t pray. No… They deserve more. They deserve someone who will save them when they are at their lowest… Who won’t run and hide when danger is afoot, and allow their people to suffer and die.”

LaPlante chuckled once again. “What a foolish ideal… Gods are meant to be respected, and feared.”

“At one time I thought the same thing,” Solaris said. “But respect is earned, not given out like candy. And even though Zappa made poor choices, I respected them still. They were always there to check on us. They always made sure we were fine. Because Zappa respected me, and my crew? I respected them in return.”

Solaris paused, and huffed fire out of his mouth. “With the power I received from Zappa, I will continue to respect others, just like they did. But I’m using this power for my own ideals. So many times I’ve seen suffering… Seen things unimaginable… Seen other Pokemon give up on life because they can’t stand living…” Solaris felt some tears falling down his face, and wiped them away before continuing. “But no more. I won't be feared by others. I won't demand worship from them. I may be the God that created the universe, but I am a steward first and foremost. A God that helps and protects.” The Charizard pointed forward at LaPlante. “And the first step towards that dream is beating you!”

LaPlante sarcastically clapped at Solaris. “Your speech just might make me throw up… A steward for mortals? Don’t make me laugh. Mortals are the lowest of all beings. They belong under a God's heel, not alongside them. Mortals are our play things.”

“You have no right to say that!” Solaris shouted. “You’ve never had to struggle day-to-day, wondering if it’ll be your last! Life is precious, and should not be taken for granted!” He stopped and scoffed. “Or is that too hard for you to understand since you’ve been immortal all of your life?”

LaPlante reached behind her, then slowly thrust her hand forward. Infinity was pulled closer to the moon, and began to pull the celestial body into its event horizon. “Silence, you heathen! I’ll destroy you, just like I destroyed that prissy partner of yours, Zane!”

Solaris’ eye twitched, and he slammed a foot down, taking on a Sumo stance as a gray aura began to rise off of him. “Don’t you mention Zane again, you hear me?! You take the lives of my friends away… My mate… Nearly took my daughter… And I won’t allow you to take any more!”

LaPlante placed her hands down by her side, her palms facing outwards. “Come at me with everything you got! This is the last round, Solaris. You better make it entertaining!”

Louis began his attack by firing a spear of ice directly at LaPlante. “Hishouken!”

The Marowak followed closely behind the ice spear, going for a low sweep with his blade. LaPlante jumped harmlessly out of the way, going for a swipe with her claw. Louis blocked the attack, then pushed the Ceruledge away. LaPlante closed the distance by teleporting to Louis, and thrust her claw down once more.

Louis put his hand up like he was blocking, only this one had a large red circle surrounding in front of him, and when LaPlante’s claw made contact, he smiled. “Gotcha!” He pushed LaPlante away once again, placing his hand on the handle of his sword. Louis would move at a lightning quick pace, slashing LaPlante and freezing her solid. He finished up by placing his sword almost fully into its sheath. “Yukikaze…”

The Marowak clacked his blade back into the sheath. As soon as he did, the ice around the Ceruledge shattered, knocking her to the ground. She slowly got back up to her feet, taking note that Florence defeated her clone and moved on to help Remi. “Lucky shot…” LaPlante murmured.

“Hmph… Not too shabby, yourself…” Louis held his hand over his blade, ready to draw it at a moment’s notice. “It’s a shame you’re so evil… I’d enjoy you as a sparring partner.”

LaPlante stood back up, her right claw glowing white. “That white jacket… That obnoxious bleeding heart… It makes me want to vomit.”

Louis began to circle around LaPlante, initially thinking about how she would throw up with no mouth before squashing the thought. “Well, sorry about that. But I’ll have to take you down now.”

“You aren’t fulfilling the promise you made those years ago. Never.” She looked back behind her, now noting that both Morello and Remi’s mirrors were defeated. Louis chuckled. “Looks like your clones aren’t putting up much resistance.”

“It matters not. The plan is still in motion. You stalling has let me charge up an attack. And…” She pointed behind her at the rest of the team. “It’ll happen once they are finished fighting.”

Louis gasped, and drew his blade. “Well, I won't let that happen. I’ll just have to beat you before that!” He charged at LaPlante once more, swinging his blade low.

“Fool… Don’t you understand? I have planned out everything! I know the outcome of this fight!” The Ceruledge would jump out of the way, grabbing onto Louis’ head and slamming it into the moon’s surface. “Why won’t you give up??”

“Because… We’re the last line of defense… We’re the team that will beat you!” Louis pushed his head up, swiping at LaPlante to get her off of him. He looked over at the team, noting that they just defeated the last mirror. “Everyone, attack now!”

Louis rushed after LaPlante, as did the rest of Team Destiny. The Ceruledge stood still, waiting for the team to be closer to her, then raised her white claw up once again. “Time… Stop!”

Once again a strange energy emitted from her claw, and the team found themselves frozen once again. She harmlessly moved out of the group’s way, then she held her claws up. “And time flows once more…”

Everyone on Team Destiny would bonk heads with each other and fall onto their rears. LaPlante chuckled. “You fools just don’t seem to get it… I will win this fight. I know the outcome. And I know now… That Solaris is wide open!”

LaPlante then took off like a rocket towards Zappa and Solaris. Ann would quickly stand up, taking off after LaPlante. “No!”

“Say farewell, Solaris!” LaPlante shouted, her left claw returning to the blades form Ceruledge normally have. She wound her hand back for a killing slice and thrust it down. Just as Ann moved in front of her attack.

Solaris would turn around to see what was happening, only to be met with blood spurting in his face. LaPlante’s sword had stabbed Ann. Directly in her chest. Ann’s face grimaced, and she coughed up a lot of blood. Solaris’ world had seemed to stop as he looked at his daughter. She would look down at Solaris, giving him a weak smile. “Dad… You have to… Win…” She weakly said, before LaPlante tossed her back down to the moon.

Audie and Florence first charged after LaPlante. Audie once again coated his hand in psychic energy, forming it into a blade on his arm. “Psi-Blade!” He shouted, thrusting the edge directly at the Ceruledge. She would jump out of the way, and gave a powerful axe kick into Audie’s back that sent him to the ground. Florence then jumped in, intending to punch LaPlante. But she looked back at Florence and snapped her fingers, and she suddenly swapped places with her. Florence’s punch instead made contact with Audie’s face.

“Fools,” LaPlante looked back. “Did you forget I can control and distort space? That means swapping spots with you when you attack me.”

Remi then charged in with Louis and Morello. The Marowak would jump high, unsheathing his blade and swiping down with it. The blade was coated in ice. “Hizansen!”

LaPlante once again dodged the attack, chuckling as she watched the ice harmlessly hit the ground. But she was too distracted to notice Remi and Morello flanking her. The pair grabbed both of her arms, the latter using Thunder Wave to stop LaPlante from moving temporarily. He then performed a series of kicks, ending in a cartwheel that kicked LaPlante into the air. Florence then jumped up, grabbing onto the Ceruledge and engulfing her in dark energy. “Some Kind of Monster!” She shouted, slamming LaPlante into the moon’s surface.

Solaris, seeing the state that LaPlante was currently in, tapped Ann’s shoulder. “Let’s hop in. Let’s do the thing we practiced.”

Ann nodded as she clenched her fist. “Absolutely.” The pair disappeared, appearing before LaPlante with flaming fists. “Power… Geyser!”

LaPlante’s claw then raised high into the air, and a strange energy emitted from her palm. “Time… Stop!”

The air around LaPlante and the team froze in place. Everything stopped except for her. She moved harmlessly out of the way of the Power Geyser, and towards Solaris’ right side. She raised her left claw, and chuckled. “And time flows once more…”

As everyone began to move again, LaPlante thrust her claw down. Her sharp claws raked across Solaris’ right eye, blood spurting from the cuts and beginning to run down his face. “Agh, dammit!” He snarled, immediately putting his palm over the cuts. “How did you-”

“I absorbed Dialga, remember? I can stop and resume time as needed.” LaPlante chuckled. “Though, it’s a shame I can only have time stopped for a moment.”

“Solaris, come to me, now!” Zappa shouted. The Charizard turned around, giving the God a look.

“Are you sure?”

“Yes!” Zappa then forcibly teleported Solaris to them. “I can’t risk any more injury to you. Place your claw on me, now!”

LaPlante chuckled. “Giving your power again? Enough of these games. I won't allow you!”

“Psi-Thrust!” Audie came charging in, slashing LaPlate’s hand. “No! Everyone, we have to defend Zappa!”

Solaris appeared to want to run towards the rest of the team, but Zappa stopped him. “Solaris… I need to give you my power. You must have a calm and clear mind. Are you ready?”

Solaris looked back briefly, and took a shaky breath. “Don’t really have a choice.” He gently placed his claw onto Arceus’ side as the God began to channel power into Solaris.

LaPlante held her claws out. “Fine then. How about we even the score?” The Ceruledge created mirror images of herself, one for each member. “One for each of you. But you…” She lifted a claw and pointed to Louis. “I want you…”

The Marowak, clutching onto his blade, stepped forward. “Me…?”

The clones dispersed, each one heading for a different member of the team while LaPlante stayed with Louis. “Yeah… You. I can sense that piece of Zane inside of you. Zane was a pest… A nuisance. And I want to take you down personally.”

Taking a break from the story, today is my birfday. I am now 27 years old, and feeling like an old ass.
