I’m rewatching The Amazing Digital Circus and I noticed a little detail!

Near the end of the episode, when Zooble and Caine’s roles are swapped in therapy, you can see what Zooble was writing on the notepad.

WE NEED FIRE/GHOST STARTERS TO COUNTER THE FIRE/FIGHTING STARTERS!!!

You know, after playing Pokémon Ranger Shadows of Almia and seeing how often Team Dim Sun is in the newspaper and how Isaac was clueless behind their motivations, I’ve realized something. Yes, it’s kind of weird how he hadn’t known anything about Altru Inc.’s criminal activities but it doesn’t NOT make sense!

Think about it this way:

Instead of the idea that Isaac doesn’t pay attention to the news, what if it’s Team Dim Sun directly trying to control the narrative? Like, it’s all shenanigans with the minions: comedically trying to keep the news paper away from Isaac, then it turns to offering to “read” the headline for him to prevent him from knowing their motivations and lying about what it is! “Oh, uh, this Pueltown article? Yeah, some Rangers showed to, uh- you know, false alarm with Gigaremos, you know?” “The cargo ship? I-we-um, lost it to the Raaaaa…ging Wailord! Yeah, it ran aground near the Ranger School because of it! Yeah, that’s why!”

It’s terrible lie after terrible lie because the Dim Sun minions can’t make cover stories to save their lives if “geologist taking mineral samples” is their best excuse for why two Rampardos are ramming into a cliff side!

Isaac, though? Gullible, well-meaning, mushroom-haired Isaac believes it! Why? Because, while he can believe these ridiculous explanations, he can’t believe the Dim Sun minions would be malicious enough to pursue world domination if they spend their breaks trying to calculate how many snow cones you could make from a huge ice chunk!

And this is the only explanation that makes sense to me and the only one I will accept!

I’m replaying and 100%ing the Pokémon Ranger trilogy and I just started Shadows of Almia and, OH BOY, now do I remember why I had a hard time going back to the first game!

It’s not that I hate the original or anything, it’s just that everything Shadows of Almia is doing is such a major upgrade! Like the way the capture system is more forgiving so that you don’t have to continuously have to press the stylus against the screen or how even just accessing the menu is easier with you not needing to wait for the option to pop up by standing still and awkwardly touching the upper left corner of the screen!

I got used to how the original handled while playing through it and I had a mostly good (EXCEPT FOR THAT STEELIX BOSS FIGHT) time but, man alive, is everything so much smoother in Shadows of Almia!
