YouTube plans to implement AI tracking that will cause serious issues to users! YouTube’s new policy will track everything a user watches to determine the user’s age and will override the date of birth you manually set if it thinks you are a kid. The only way to reverse this is to show identification, thus further exposing your privacy.

Not only is this a gross overstep and breech of privacy, it’s a dangerous one at that. Many can’t show their identification for safety reasons. Also, this is just a really ableist policy. Many neurodivergent adults enjoy "kids" media and will wrongfully be tagged as children and therefore will be blocked from other adult centered media we may enjoy. Are we meant to only watch things incognito? Not to mention the way YT marks anything animated as for kids when it’s not already. Nobody asked for this! Stop "fixing" things that aren’t broken, YouTube!
