We continued with free writing with free writing this lesson . We were later asked to perform our piece , our teacher later added a technique called stop and take because during our performance teacher would stop and we will stop and start allover again .
WWW: I liked the stop and take technique as I was able to start again and improve even more .
EBI : The new technique of stop and take did take time and I started to get distracted . Next time I should focus more and become less distracted .

During our scheduled drama classes , we learned a new drama technique called free writing . This is to become formula with the characters in Hedda Gabler , the task was about 10-15 minutes writes any words ,phrase ,paragraph , that we felt associated with our chosen character . The twist was that after writing this , we will pass it around in the group until went end up with our own paper .These paper will be used as a monologue or a dance sequence .
WWWW: I was able to create a monologue that expresses how Hedda felt .
EBI: I didn't understand the exercise at first but I finally understood what I was doing .

30th April 2018 The start of Hedda Gabler
Today we began the lesson reading the given script from our teacher . In order to get us formula with the script miss would eventually make us produce a non - naturalistic play based on Hedda Gabler for our final unit 9 exam .
During this the class was given a situation from the play that focus in different tension status when Elijert find out that Hedda was marriage to George Tesman ..
WWW: When I was given the role of Hedda , I had to pretend that I was able to immediate the character profile which allowed me to use “what if” and “objectives “to perform to my best ability .
EB1 : Since Hedda is a 29 year old women , it was quite hard to portray someone that age but having an objective I was able to portray her character better . Also working with friends I got a little bit distracted but I was later able to pass that .

After what I can say a 4 month of contemporary and street dance .
We started with a warm up , which sir calls “Ship + Shores “ which is a common drama game and a great start to the lesson . To briefly summaries the warm up , sir would simply shout some instruction e.g. “Lifeboat” or “Man over board” and we would simply have to follow them.
WWW: I was able to learn that status and convey through speech and movement which would be useful in production work.
EBI: I shouldn't get distraction as I missed what sir said and I lost the game .

In today’s lesson , we created a chair duets in small groups to show the relationship between Hedda and Mrs Elvsted .
WWW: I had a clear understanding of the task ,I also was able to use technique the 7 tension status .The status that I used for my character Hedda was 3-4 which was towards Thea and my partner tension statue was 1 , as she was Thea and her character was afraid of Hedda . This knowledge was finally shown successfully in my characterisation of Hedda in my performance .
EBI: As I was working with people I know, I showed a lack of focus which was a problem as I didn't perform to my capability something I should work on.

Hedda Gabler Performance
On the 4th of July, the time came to put on our Hedda Gabler production . It went well and the audience really seem to enjoy the performance , however there was some aspect that could be improved . I also have areas in which I would like to improve looking towards the future .
WWW: I stayed in character throughout the production even though at some point I forgot my lines . I was able to carry on and I tried to make it seem as tough I had purposely lost my place in character as I was show casing Hedda emotion of anger which show that I was being professional . In addition to this I projected my voice throughout the performance which I was proud of as this was an area which I was proud of as this was area which I had wanted to improve .
EBI: I could have worked further on my characterisation Hedda emotion ( anger ) in term of using more non - naturalistic acting techniques and extending my gestures even more and perhaps more less around the space as I was losing my audience attention . In addition to this I could have worn something more comfortable since my skirt was lifting up .
As a group we helped each other if someone forgot their lines , it seemed as though it was part of the script and as if we had done it on purpose . This was a good thing as we supported each other .We were told that this is what happens in a professional production where the cast work as a whole and not just to make their own role successful .
In general , our group thought we will never get this production done , but with my motivation and encourage , we were able to give a brilliant performance .
The light really helped me to get into character as it made the stage look exciting and atmospheric . I particularly enjoyed the entrance scene as I think that it clearly showed tension and frustration that my character was feeling . The fact that the light was red symbolised the characters mood and also made the audience experience more exciting and worth wile .
Putting on a loop on was really hard , as the space I was working in become a little too hot and stuffy but I still stayed in character and enjoyed the performance .
I had a lot of input to the technical aspect of the production an this is an area that I’ m looking forward to explore further .
This is a image of me ,in my performance space , the red light is used to contribute with Hedda’s emotion .

Macbeth Review
On the Tuesday of the 18th April 2018 , i was taken to see Macbeth in the National Theatre . A play which highlights the ruined aftermath of a bloody civil-war . Ruthlessly fighting to survive , Macbeth is propelled towards the crown by forces of elemental darkness . The character that i mainly focused on was Lady Macbeth because in this version of the play Lady Macbeth is presented to be more warm heated , somewhat maybe reinforcing what women were suppose to be in those era . Her costume represented her as being this cold hearted and hard core women by her army trousers and boots , making her have this manly figure towards herslef , this is significant because this reflect back on what she said “ Come to my woman’s breasts,And take my milk for gall, you murd'ring ministers,Wherever in your sightless substances you wait on nature’s mischief , you spiritsThat tend on mortal thoughts, unsex me here, “ by her saying this it reflects on how she presented . The Army costume might be a way for Lady Macbeth to hide her inner and deeper thoughts through that hard core outfits that already symbolise war , the khaki colour maybe indicating her hiding for her emery maybe foreshadowing what might happen.Adding on , the costume has show how badly poor they are , the material is very cheap . As a audience i sensed fear from Lady Macbeth , she was afraid of the death of King Ducan , as if her concourse-was telling her not to do it , she huddled up as a child showing her weaker side to the audience. I saw a very feminine side of Lady Macbeth , by her pink dress showing her more genital side towards the audience but her spiky material at the bottom show her sharp and hard personality . Her green dirty coat , the green did show her as being pure and natural, due to the green which represents nature and nature is natural and pure , but the dirtiness of the coat highlight her unclean and impure side , as she took part in Ducan murder . But the Gold belt does show how up in statues shes become due to the use of the Gold material.
Another Character that i focused on was Macbeth . Macbeth red jacket , was a very significant costume because of the colour red which represents blood , which maybe indicates death .The fact that Macbeth wears red , somewhat throughout the play , maybe suggest how death is a significant nature to this play , and how death is always close by him , holding on him and how Macbeth has become the death . Other might say that , the red might symbolise bravery highlighting the amount of traitor Macbeth killed .In his monologue the spotlight level become lower and lower , to show the increase of madness that Macbeth was experiencing also highlighting how low in society hes become in society .

7 Tension state.
Tuesday 20th February 2018
Today in my drama lesson we learned about the tension states level 7 .
1.Slow and Soft : This movement was shown by slowly moving my legs and arms , gently lifting my head up and down ,My steps were soft by gently placing my feet down to the ground . softly flicking my arms up and down .
2. Happy day : Happy day was shown by my facial expression ,with a wide smile and boy movement jogging around the area, with my arms free.
3.Natural : Natural was shown through less body movement , by walking slower then usual , and using my upper body and arching my back . With natural there was no motivation of getting to your destination. During the exercise my facial expression, was not bothered shown by a lazy eye and a confused facial expression .
4.Business : That was shown by walking fast , bumping into people , going to different direction as fast as possible , with the business movement it seemed like i was motivated to get to my destination . My facial expression was very strong , by a firm face , my eyes were straight , not looking around me .
childishness: That was shown through physical movement , by jumping up and down the stage , hopping from different part of the stage . My facial expression , i had a wide smile all the time , my arms were swinging from left to right .
6.Behind in a Forest : This exercise was shown by slowly walking with a bend knee, quickly moving my head in different directions as this allowed me to look more scared and afraid , my facial expression was shown as being frighten with a wide eye and a slightly open mouth showing me breathing slowly and heavily ,
7.Frozen : This was shown through free frame , each time we were given a scenario we would free tot hat , showing different facial expression .
Using the Punch Drunk techniques of laying on the floor . I was able to relax my bones and realise any tension. I was later introduced with the Seven tension states whereby i demonstrated seven different tension through physical theatre , we had to act out in pairs , were we used those tension to create a little piece of performance to show one of the Seven tension .
