The story behind the spoon which is going to be my main image is…
On September 6th, 6 Palestinian prisoners broke out of Galboa, a high security prison in occupied Palestine. They dug a whole in the bathroom using a spoon that led to an opening of the sewage system. They crawled through the pipes led to a wall near the outside of the prison. Then they dug a new whole which leading them towards the outside wall of the prison on a dirt road. Israeli soldiers believe that the prisoners contacted an associate through a smuggled phone where they picked them up in a car near the dirt road. This recent prison break is a symbol of the resistance of prisoners in Israeli jails and how they will continue to fight of the injustice held against them.

Evaluation
For this brief as a team we had to create 5 images that create a double effect. These photos must be created by everyday items and how they can be used in my photographs. My research was mainly secondary from studios like toilet paper magazine and artists like Pierpaolo. At the start of the project the team communication was not good and we all had our own ideas about how we wanted the images to be portrayed. After meetings in person and online we all compromised to create a photo collection meeting the briefs request. During these meetings we came up with initial ideas which had been developed on throughout this project. The research phase was really important because it was difficult to reach the double effect take without understanding what it was. Many of our ideas was generated through group discussions which we took our initial ideas and tried to develop them further. Personally I believe that the group discussions were really helpful and necessary because it gave us an opportunity to see what has gone right and what needs further development. After the research phase we used what we found and applied it to the photos to start creating our first versions which we could further develop. We took our first version of photos which we discussed, criticised and reflected on them then developed them to create the double effect. From this project I learnt new methods of printing such as screen printing and image transfer on fabric. I learnt about lighting and camera angles and how to use the equipment safely and effectively. The modge podge experiment was important because if we could not image transfer using this method then we would have to research into new ideas to present our photo collection it was important that we didn't leave this last minute as it would be more stressful. We were given 3 weeks to complete this project which was the same amount given in the last 2 projects. I was aware of the time and planned ahead such as researching into how we are going to showcase our designs and how long will it take to create it. I have developed my time management skills from the 2nd project by organising tasks in order and made sure everything was ready for the photoshoot. My goal for my personal development is to use what I learnt in this project and apply it to future projects and I would like to develop on the skills I have learnt. If I could go back to the start of the project I would like to communicate more with my group so we all have an understanding of what ideas we have and what research we all should start with.

BLUE GALEN COLLECTION
We called this collection "Blue Galen" because of the Greek physician, surgeon and philosopher called Galen. His methods were strange and weird but normal during medieval medicine. The surgeon in these photos are seen doing weird experiments like Galen.
