friendly reminder that you're allowed to need people, in fact everyone needs people. needing the company of others does not make you weak. spending time with other people is how we learn and grow.

I wish death positivity was embraced more tbh, especially in Western societies. Facing death instead of running from it, reframing it as a natural process instead of a terrifying tragedy, genuinely changed my life and my approach to the world.
Death is incredibly stigmatized and it's something that we as a society need to talk about, especially when it's affecting our ability to make kind and rational decisions. When you see death as the worst thing in the world, you become willing to do everything you can to avoid it, even when that means causing unnecessary suffering and damage and using unnatural and dangerous methods to hold off basic parts of the life cycle.
(The latter sentence is referring to the dangerous chemicals used to preserve bodies and prevent decay, and similar burial methods that prioritize preservation over decomposition to make humans feels better. Let your body return to the Earth. It's okay.)

You will make mistakes, you will act irrationally. You will commit some wrongs that cannot be fully righted. People will dislike you and misunderstand you for all sorts of reasons. None of these things make you a bad person. All you can do is try your best to be kind, to learn and grow.

“one day things will get better” doesn’t have to mean when that day comes every day after it is better. it can mean one day is better and a little easier and gives you what you need to be reminded life won’t always suck.
