I'm an alter too, you know. Every single time you've interacted with me, I'm an alter. Even before you knew I had DID, even before I knew I had DID, we've been speaking to each other as various different alters. To ask to only interface with one singular version of me because you find the other versions of me uncomfortable to be around is hurtful.

We have little to no control over who's fronting at any particular time. We switch a lot, that's the nature of my system. Even we don't know who's fronting all the time, not least because we're discovering new parts still all these years later.

And, ultimately, they're all me. If you've only met one version of me and like that one version of me, do you truly like me? If you've only ever gotten to know me in that particular mode, how well do you actually know me? How can you say you love me when there's all these other me's that you cast aside and ignore?

You can't say you're okay with my DID but then ask to never get to know my alters. Because, ultimately, that means you never get to know me. And that means you're not okay with my DID- or with me.

I feel like it’s important for me to remind the DID community that a good majority of the people with DID are not going to have high alter counts. They’re not going to be overt. They’re not going to have tons of fictives and fully formed identities.

This is common to see online, but the truth is that this is not what DID is going to look like a majority of the time. Is it possible? I would say yes, if just because there’s not enough research about DID and how the human mind works. But most people with DID are not going to look like what you see online.

This is the person’s description. Please note, I am not fake claiming them on being a RAMCOA/HC-DID system or their alter count. I am also not fake claiming them based on the fact they claim to have a DSMP script, even though the timing feels a little weird to me.

‘But you are fake claiming them-‘ Yes I am. And for two main reasons. Number one, claiming to have diagnosed ASPD.

ASPD cannot and is not diagnosed as a minor. You must be at least 18 to be diagnosed with ASPD, and if you are any younger it would be considered a conduct disorder. Any professional would know this.

Furthermore, this person claims to live in Mexico (which I will get to in a moment). Mexico uses the ICD for diagnostic criteria, and in the ICD-11, ASPD isn’t even a diagnosis.

But let’s assume this person got diagnosed in the US or is not living in Mexico and got diagnosed with ASPD at 15 years old. The main reason I am calling bullshit is this:

This person claims to be in witness protection. First off, you cannot have any social media if you are in witness protection. Like none at all, which includes tumblr. It doesn’t matter if you don’t use your real name/age/identity, it’s still a huge safety risk even having it, let alone telling people you’re in witness protection and what country you were relocated to.

This person also claims that one of their programmers contacted them. While they were in witness protection. I’m not even going to comment on that, but I will let you guys just connect the dots on this.

I don’t have anything more to say about this. Hate will be blocked. System’s used is snowchester-system. Don’t send hate or harass them. And snowchester, if you’re reading this and all of this is in fact true, delete your tumblr and get off the internet for good. For your own safety.

Having DID and having friends is weird because at some point or another I feel like an imposter. I know other altars don’t like certain friends that others like and I kind of just have to try and be the same person all the time.

I liked you yesterday and was so excited to talk to you but today I can’t stand you and I don’t know when your friend will be coming back but since I love her I’ll try and tolerate you.

I think a system thing that fails to be represented is how difficult basic hygiene can be, simply because mirrors are so scary. it's hard to look at a reflection that isn't yours, acknowledge a body that isn't yours. it's very easy to skip out on things that most people consider easy, like showering or brushing your teeth or washing your face. it's tough, and it's valid to be freaked out by it. go easy on yourself
