The Disciple bows her head deeply, hands placed against one another near her chest as Zed speaks. She understood completely, and turned to leave and continue that training. Just by asking such a question, she knew that the mere thought of self-care had been planted inside her master’s mind; that would be more than enough to do some good for him. “I understand, Master. I will not falter in this, I swear it. If ever you need something done, you may count on me.” With this, the woman dissipates, leaving her Master alone to his thoughts, and satisfied with that seed she has planted within his mind.

master zed, have you been taking proper care of yourself? i could fetch a smoothie if you require it.

     Proper care of himself…?

     Zed isn’t quite sure he knows what Gaige means. He exercises, he drinks water, he eats plenty, but his sleep is inconsistent, and he knows the shadows under his eyes are darker than they were even a year ago. 

     Perhaps he does not offer his mind the care that it needs. 

     He has been told to relax before. To take a moment to assess himself, ensure that he is approaching each problem with the calm rationale that it deserves. Zed cannot afford the time to relax, however – Khada Jhin still walks the plane of mortals, Noxians still hound Ionia’s shores, and there are still thousands of people who think if they sit idly, maybe Noxus will decide Ionia is too boring to be attacked.

     Zed sighs, touching his fingers to his forehead. “I am fine. The best thing any of my disciples can do for me is keep up with their training and ensure they are prepared for whatever attack comes next. Understand?”
