Metro:
When we first shifted to gurgaon in 2010, my parents had joined a historical walk group which toured all the famous monuments in delhi and narrating their history.
We used to go in metro most of our times, and it was a good experience for me. We used to travel a lot but then the group discontinued and we stopped travelling in metro for a long time.
Recently I started travelling on metro for running errands, meeting friends and going to places i usually go in car or auto. And it’s so easy travelling by metro, there are less charges and especially in a rapid it’s not that crowded.
But sitting in the metro and listening to music is a whole different vibe. I love travelling in metro and will always take any opportunity to ride again. Yes sometimes it becomes hectic and crowded which can cause frustration but everything has it’s ups and downs.

College Life:
College has been a different and unique experience for me. Though i have hardly just started and only 1 year has gone by but my overall experience till now has been filled with surprises.
I realised that school and college are very different from each other. When I was in school I desperately wanted to get out and be in college but now when i’m in college i feel like school was better. It’s not that i miss my school but in many instances/situations my school was better than the college i’m in. But i’m keeping my hopes for the future, and probably after a few years i’ll look back at this blog and probably agree or disagree with my statement.
One more good thing about our college is that you can travel to different places like go to cafe’s, restaurants etc. There is a metro station near by which makes it easier to travel. I’ve been with my friends to a few places which have been a wonderful experience.

“Traditions continued over generations”
In 2022 we went to Jaipur, Rajasthan where we visited different places one of them being Amber Fort which so big that it took a whole day to tour.
While I was exploring the place, i saw a man playing a traditional Rajasthani instrument called Ravan Hatta which gives a sweet music. He was singing in Rajasthani local language but the music and sound was so beautiful that till this day i still remember the tune.
I’ll always remember Jaipur because of it’s beauty and the places i went to and i’ll love to visit it again.

“A picture perfect sky”
The beauty nature has given us is imaginable, the way the clouds have different shades which all look so beautiful, the way the trees grow into such big beautiful trees with pretty flowers, the way the river/lake flows through the mountains and other places is so amazing.
Being amidst the clouds gives you a peace of mind, just looking at them makes you wonder is this where i’ll be once i leave this world and wait for my rebirth.
Will these clouds be the place where i look over the world below and imagine that I once lived there.
Truly skies are a beauty when at night or morning. Just looking at the skies makes you smile.

"Coffee is always a good idea”
Coffee is indeed always a good idea, it cheers you up and for some people it helps in staying awake or sleeping. There is a huge debate between which one is better - Coffee vs Chai but i personally like both.
I love having coffee sometimes after good hearty meal and enjoying the ambience while watching something on my phone.
Though i don’t have coffee or chai at home but when I go out i like going to different shops and trying out new coffee but my go to coffee is cappuccino.

“Books are a uniquely portable magic - Stephen King
Books are indeed a portable magic which captures you in the storyline and gives you curiosity in what will happen next which keeps you reading it again and again.
Though i’m not a book reader but i do enjoy buying books and the ambience of Bookshops. I love going to bookshops exploring various books and just sitting there reading something I find interesting and I love the smell of books.

Appreciating the Beauty of India
Last year we went to a week long trip and explored new places in the mountains. We made our final stop at Shimla before coming home. In the afternoon we all went for a walk at the famous Shimla Mall Road a popular destination for tourists as well as locals.
The distance between the hotel and the mall road was short making it easier for us to reach and enjoy the beauty without worrying about our transport.
I remember going down was easy but coming up was a huge task as the road was pretty steep and we had to take small steps in order to reach the top and if you would think that’s the end. Nope it isn’t the steep continues till the main gate of our hotel.
During the afternoon and night time the mall road looked so pretty I was left mesmerised. Enjoying the long walk exploring, old shops, sitting under the tree watching people pass by and enjoying the sun, having good coffee were a few things I did and of course having good food.
I don’t know why people say that India doesn’t have any beautiful places, everywhere you go it is filthy and dirty but that’s not entirely true.
There are so many beautiful places in our country that people don’t know of and need to know. These places do give a tough competition when compared to foreign countries destination/tourists spots.
And leave the people in awe and wondering whether these kind of places actually existed or not. Sadly Indians don’t take care of their surroundings leading to poor hygienic environmental conditions.

A thing of Beauty
In 2022 we went to this beautiful place called Lahul Spiti. One day we decided to take a long walk, enjoying the beautiful scenery we stopped for a small chai break in between and then continued our walk.
While walking we came across this beautiful lake with rocks everywhere, Excited we went to the place and stood for sometime enjoying the beautiful scenery and listening to the waves of water.
I felt peace from within and never wanted to leave this beautiful place. I took this photo but the photo doesn’t do justice to the beauty captured by our eyes. I’ll always remember this place as one of my favourites.

Kolkata the City of Joy
I visited Kolkata last year during summer’s, we went to Park street to have lunch which is well known place for hangouts, food, etc. It gives an old aesthetic feeling, kind of brings you back to the 90’s.
While waiting for the signal to go green I captured the famous yellow Taxi which is only seen in Kolkata. Kolkata always feels nostalgic to me even though I am a Bengali I don’t have any connection with Kolkata as I was not born there but visiting it every single year created memories that i’ll never forget.

Walking through the Mountains
Last year I visited Chitkul which is the last village of India. Ahead of this village is the border of India and China. I took a walk along the beautiful mountains and lake, feeling the breeze and feeling calm made me remind of the beautiful mountains I saw in 2022

Verses & Voyages
“The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.”
While roaming the beautiful city of Delhi on a bright Sunny day, I came across this guy selling books, stacked in a beautiful way capturing a person eye from a distance. Though I am not a book person but sometimes reading a book with a cup of coffee is a joy in itself.
Exploring different places and buying books is a memory of a good book you read and a beautiful place you went to.

Little things that make you smile
Yesterday while coming back home a dog suddenly passed by my side while i was walking. It looked up to me for a second as if asking me to pet him and I did give him a few scratches, then I started walking again when it bumped me from behind and jumped on me asking for more pets and scratches. I smiled and gave him more scratches, talking to him in a baby voice. Truly dogs are amazing, the way they make you smile and you feel like you have a deep connection with them. I heard somewhere that dogs can sense who is a good and bad person. I guess the dog came to me sensing that i am that type of person who’ll spoil him with load’s kisses and pets and he was right. Sharing a few pictures i have of dogs in my album the first picture is the dog that I met yesterday

Foodie adventures are the best adventures
"One cannot think well, love well, sleep well, if one has not dined well." - Virginia Woolf
I always click pictures of food as a memory stored in my album. These pictures remind me of the yummy food I had in different places. I totally agree with the quote mentioned above, one can’t truly think well, if they haven’t dined well.
