Yall think Joe’s issue with getting the upper hand in fights during the first part of the 2001 anime would’ve been solved if he just…simply didn’t shout whenever he would accelerate?
Cuz if I was fighting Joe and he just shouted ACCELERATION MODE out loud, I’d be so very confused.

Will I be burned at the stake if I say I REALLY didn’t like the Yomi arc? Like, at all?
I’ve seen 009 episodes SO MANY TIMES because ✨autism✨ and no matter what I think or do, I can’t seem to attach myself to the Yomi arc almost completely. The only episode I actually liked was 48, ya know, the fucking FINALE of the main story LMAO.
Don’t get me wrong, the actual story’s ending is actually not bad. I really loved the final episodes fight with Joe and Skull. Yeah Skull coming back RIGHT AT THE END was super predictable, but Joe and Skull beating the snot out of each other was super cool to watch again. AND SKULLS DEATH?? Almost a little simple, but quite a terrible demise at the same time! Well done!
My biggest issue with Yomi as a whole was the introduction. Episode 43 of Cyborg 009 is one of the WORST episodes I’ve ever watched. I could make a whole post about it. It’s bad. I hate it all. Literally almost NOTHING was good about it, other than Joe and Fran’s interactions, which by now seem REALLY forced. We only really met Helen at the very last moments of the episode, which would be a cool cliffhanger approach…if the episode it was introduced in wasn’t so fucking awful. The opening to Yomi was hellishly ruined for me personally at least by episode 43 being its own issue.
The pacing of the end of this series also wasn’t great either. The pacing at least for me seems to be going off around episode 44, and some others may give other episode ranges, but I really think Cyborg 009 was a VERY well paced series as a whole. I’m mostly focused on the 2001 anime, but even that is still well paced, especially in the first major over arc, or the first 17 episodes. It’s what really drew me in! However, I really just can’t sit down and watch Yomi as a whole. Things feel really jumbled in this version of the anime, and it’s super unfortunate since this is supposed to be the big finale of the 2001 anime.
Don’t even get me started on the ACTUAL STORY ENDING

And this concludes “High-perfixation Ramblings with Jo” LMAO
