Uganda's president has signed into law a bill toughening penalties for gay people and criminalising those who do not report them.
This legislation is dangerous and not representative of every Ugandan's views. It's little more than a political move by Museveni against the influence of "western liberalism". In an attempt to prove his authority and make a show of this political parties independence he has put hundreds of his own people in danger.
