Hi I am a 13 year old girl looking to pursue a career in computer science and I would like to start from a young age. I was wondering what programming languages you could suggest to me as a beginner (I have not learned any programming languages yet)

First off, it’s important to be able to actually understand what you are typing and how it works behind the scenes. PythonTutor has several programming languages implemented in it where you can run through programs you make and understand how each line has a role.

Python is the best for beginners since it is cleaner and to the point. Codecademy has some nice tutorials on it.

If you want a challenge, Java or C# are similar to each other, and with C# you can do Unity Game Development which is always fun.

I also suggest getting a PacktPub free ebook of the day, some of which are really good coding books.

Its 11:00 so apologies if I missed much but just keep on researching for free online EDX and Udemy courses, take one night a week and write a program out on paper or a whiteboard, study basic algorithms or data structures, and there is so much but as you learn more and more it fits into place.
