grinding for gaza while trying to keep my sanity intact. i'm just here on tumblr writing post after post, asking, begging for donations, for help. i craft these words carefully hoping someone somewhere might care enough to hit that reblog button or send a few dollars. then i go hunting for the tagging list hoping someone with a bigger reach than me will help amplify my voice because seriously what else can i do? message after message, waiting for a reply, a reblog, anything. the silence is deafening. i wait for the donation notification to pop up like it’s some kind of life raft. maybe just maybe it’ll float my family out of this hell. but mostly i’m sitting here clicking, praying, hoping while my phone keeps buzzing with more bad news. sighs deeply. well back to the grind i guess. shuffle away quietly. maybe trip on a rock this time. who knows.

really great article on the palestinian prisoner and martyr walid daqqa, who died in prison in april; by way of his life, it discusses the shifting strategies of zionist incarceration and palestinian response, the psychic life of the prison, the aesthetics of resistance, critiques of romanticism of prison struggle, and more, and more - very worth your time

ok last thing. but what people fundamentally need to get through their heads is the significance of gaza fundraisers not being the same as like mutual aid when you're helping someone get groceries, because it is a genocide. there is insane deliberate scarcity and prices are unmanageable, because there is nowhere nearly enough for everyone, so only people who can pay can eat. and what positioning individual fundraisers as the only course of action does is quite simply give a tiny percentage of random people whose fundraisers take off the ability to pay those prices while thousands of others can't. and every one of those thousands of people without a fundraiser is suffering through the same inconceivably horrific reality. it is giving a few completely desperate people out of hundreds of thousands a slightly more favorable position in a horrific war economy of imposed scarcity. and what grassroots community kitchens do is try to mitigate in some small way that inconceivable hierarchy of who can pay and who can't, by stretching ingredients as far as they can last to cook meals at large scale and give them out at no cost. and obviously people are still going to send money to their friends and families because this is hell what else are we supposed to do but please just think about that before promoting endless individual fundraisers as somehow the most ethical way to help

Urgent Appeal to Support My Family in Gaza: Critical Need as Winter Approaches
-Donation link (GFM) 🙏
Dear Friends, Supporters, and Kind-hearted People,🌸🌸🌸
As the cold winter months approach, I am reaching out with an urgent appeal to help my family in Gaza. The challenges they face are immense, with limited access to basic necessities like food, water, medical supplies, and warmth. Their situation has only grown more difficult as the cold approaches, putting them at even greater risk.
Why Your Support Matters
Life in Gaza is challenging at the best of times, but winter brings an entirely new level of hardship. With frequent power outages and a shortage of fuel, heating becomes nearly impossible, leaving families exposed to the harsh cold. Many homes, including my family’s, lack insulation and proper heating, putting children, the elderly, and the sick at serious risk.
Your support can make an immediate and direct difference. Donations will be used for:
•Warm clothing and blankets to protect against the cold.
•Basic food supplies to sustain them through the harsh winter.
•Medical essentials to care for the sick, especially with scarce resources.
•Heating materials and fuel, when available, to make their living space safer and more comfortable.
How You Can Help
Any amount, big or small, will make a significant difference in helping my family endure the winter with dignity and hope. Here are a few ways you can contribute:
1.Direct donations: 🌸🌸🌸
2.Spreading the word: Share this appeal with your networks to help us reach more people.
3.Raising awareness: By increasing awareness about the ongoing crisis in Gaza, we can help generate long-term support for families like mine.
A Message of Gratitude
From the bottom of my heart, I thank you for your time and consideration. Your kindness and compassion are a beacon of hope in these difficult times. Together, we can make a real difference in the lives of those who need it most.
With heartfelt thanks,
Momin Alostaz
Hi, I hope you are well. My name is momen Alostaz, I live with my parents and a family of ten including young children in North Gaza. I would appreciate your help ❤️ Can you help as much as you can? Meet Mohammed
Mohammed @mohammedalhabil lives with his mother Ibtisam, his sister Noha, and his sister Nour. They are a loving family, but have had more than their fair share of struggles. Mohammed’s father was martyred by the occupation in its 2014 aggression. Ibtisam and Omar, Mohammed’s older brother, supported the family themselves for many years. Then, in December 2023, Omar was martyred by the occupation while he and Mohammed were out gathering firewood. Mohammed was severely injured in the same attack.
This was not the last time Mohammed was injured by IOF violence. Mohammed has been injured on four separate occasions, resulting in his left leg being critically wounded. He had to have a full cast put on, rendering him unable to move any part of his leg.
He undergoes regular physiotherapy when it is safe enough to travel to the clinic, but unfortunately this is not enough to heal his wound. Mohammed is going to require intense, specialized treatment in order to fully heal his leg and regain as full of function as possible. Due to the occupation’s systematic destruction of Gaza’s medical infrastructure, this cannot be done in Gaza.
Mohammed will need to travel abroad to treat his leg, which will be a complex and expensive proposition. Just passing from Gaza into Egypt costs thousands of dollars, not to mention the costs of lodging, food, medication, and medical appointments. He is trying to raise funds so that when the border reopens, he will be able to arrange passage into Egypt, and begin his journey to fully healing.
His family is already struggling to survive, relying on mutual aid for food and other basic necessities. They lost their home due to IOF attack, and none of them are able to work. This means Mohammed has no way to pay for his travel and treatment costs without your support.
Please help Mohammed be able to afford the treatment he needs
Thank you❤️❤️

[image ID: a sketchbook page-spread, mostly in blue ballpoint-pen.
on the right page, a sketch of a young Jon Moxley during a match against Nick Gage. Moxley faces the right in profile, screaming. Gage's hands are in Moxley's hair and on his forehead, where Gage has cut him. Gage straddles Moxley's back. only the very bottom of his face can be seen. the page itself is mostly covered with two pieces of scrap paper, one covered in hebrew printed text, the other a piece of lined paper. they show through the lines of re sketch.
on the left page, a portrait of a young man, facing the left in three-quarter view. the man affects a neutral expression and looks downwards. he wears an approximation of a Roman ridge helmet, though many parts are missing as to not obscure his face. he also wears a necklace and a loose tunic. the sketch is drawn mostly over two memo notes, one blue and the other green, and another piece of lined paper. the bottom of the page is occupied by a rectangular piece of plain paper covered with a black-pen sketch of a radical neck dissection. the left edge of the rectangle is labeled in english capitals, reading "radical neck dissection" and "plate 192". /.End ID]

How can I help my family in Gaza?
I am Mahmoud, a resident of northern Gaza. Since the war started, everything that touches a decent life has disappeared, and everything has become a mess.
I woke up in the morning and found that I had to stand in line for drinking water so that my family and I could have some.
I woke up in the morning and realized that I had to wake up before dawn to get in line for bread.
War, destruction, and killing,
The next morning, I had to make a fateful decision; should we stay in the house we were in or leave it? My whole family had to evacuate because the occupation issued evacuation orders for our residential area, and I didn’t know what was right or wrong…
Eventually, we left our homes, our belongings, and all our sweet memories, and we went wherever the army ordered us. After a while, the situation calmed down in our area.
I woke up to the sound of a phone call, "We reached your house after the army withdrew," but we didn’t find the house, nor did we find your family’s house.
I didn’t sleep that day; I sat with myself, wishing I could find time to mourn my life. My phone rang, "Come on, Mahmoud, let’s eat together." But Mahmoud had no money left! We spent everything; how could I go without food?
I woke up after 200 days of war, talked to my mom: "Mom, I want to look for internet and electricity to go back to work and support you, or I’ll stay with you to fill water and manage food." My mom said, "No, go, my son, the important thing is that you return to work."
I woke up after that; my mom went out to fill water, and my heart was breaking, but I had to get up and find a place to go back to work for her.
I managed to get a laptop from your support and found a place with electricity and internet at such a time because it was almost impossible. I also got a new tent, and things went well, thank God. However, at this time, everything turned back to how it was before; prices rose again, and famine returned amid the closure of crossings. Everything became worse than before; you can’t even provide for your daily expenses to the point that two or three days can pass without eating bread. Sometimes you manage with rice, bulgur, or lentils, but for how long?
How many mornings do we have left in this life? We don’t know.
The question is: dear reader, will you wake up to the disaster we are in? Will you realize that we truly need financial and moral support to be able to continue?

Stop for a moment and read the fourth line.
While you feel warmth, walk in safety, and live your normal life, I am here in Gaza, waking up to the endless sounds of explosions.
While you take a peaceful breath, I go without food for days, hunger gnawing at my body, and I can't even give my children anything to ease their pain.
While you turn on your tap, I search for a drop of water, and the cold bites through our worn-out tent💔
How can you live in this safety while we fight just to stay alive? Can you imagine for just a moment what it's like to be in our shoes?😭
We need you now more than ever.
I am Kareman Palestinian mother and children's teacher , and I live with my husband Ayman and my son Hamoud in an unending hell since October 7th, 2023.
The war has destroyed everything in our lives. We used to live a simple life, but it was full of hope. Now, all that remains for us is fear and suffering. The school where I worked has been destroyed, my husband's boat, which provided for us, is now just rubble, and we have nothing left.
We now live in a tattered tent that offers no protection from the freezing cold or the constant bombings surrounding us. Every night, we sleep hearing the sounds of explosions, never knowing if we will wake up to a new dawn. As for food, it has become a luxury we can no longer afford. The price of flour has exceeded $350, and the milk for my son Hamoud is only available to me at $125, which is what we need just to survive.
Despite all these challenges, we live with only one hope: to evacuate when the crossing is opened. But the cost of evacuation exceeds $45,000, a huge sum that we do not have. We need your help now more than ever. Every small donation is a chance for us to stay alive, and every support from you is the only hope for us to escape this hell.
Every time we remember the displacements and the shells falling around us, we wonder: Will there ever be a day when we can escape this suffering? Will there be a day when we can provide food for our children in a safe place? We only want a chance to survive, a chance to escape this hell😭
Please, do not leave us in this darkness🙏
Help us live, because every new moment in this hell is a challenge to stay alive😭🫂

Please help Monis' family!
Rabah has asked me to attach this message from him:
I will keep this short since I think more people will read it in full if I do. I am making this post on behalf of Rabah to highlight the fundraiser campaign raising money for medical treatment for his father Monis, who has cancer and needs medication, medical exams, and radiotherapy urgently (more info here on Rabah's blog). These funds will first and foremost go to Monis' treatment, and also to buying food, shelter, and supplies for the winter. If you are able to donate, please do. This fundraiser was reblogged by @90-ghost.
Please help them!

Hello everyone, how are you.
Please take a few minutes to read this post.
I am writing these words after losing hope in everyone… except for you, my friends. Just a short while ago, I saw that Tumblr has 100 million downloads. That’s an enormous number! But imagine, with all those millions of people, how would you feel if 100 million people saw you and ignored you? You’d feel deeply disappointed, right? Or maybe you’d even wish for death.
Have you ever wished for death? For me, I feel like I’d rather die than be ignored by everyone. If I wasn’t in desperate need of help, I wouldn’t ask anyone for it. I really need help—not for myself, but for my family. For my father, who is fighting cancer. For my one-year-old niece.
Imagine for a moment that you have a small child you love dearly, and you’re forced to watch her suffer in front of your eyes. This isn’t just an imagination for me; it’s my reality. My family and I live this pain every day.
Please, be our hope. Be our voice. Be the ones who save us from despair. Don’t ignore us. Donate, even if it’s just 5 euros.
There are so many people reading this post right now. I beg anyone who sees these words to donate if they can, and if not, to share this post. Please, don’t leave us behind.
Be our family, or think of us as members of your own family, and save us from this suffering.
To those who have already donated generously, I extend my heartfelt thanks and appreciation. But can you add more? If you can, please share a screenshot of your donation here. If you’d prefer to stay anonymous, feel free to send it to me privately.❤️❤️
No matter how small the amount, your help means the world to us. And if you can’t donate, share this post and add a few kind words to inspire others to help.
One day, you may find yourself in need of help. Help me today so that someone else might help you tomorrow. Your donation—or even just sharing this post—could save the life of an entire family.
We stay here all day on one meal that almost satisfies our hunger. Can you refrain from eating breakfast, lunch or dinner and donate money to us? This will be a simple experience for you from the pain we live in, and it will be generous of you to donate.
I want to tell you guys that my posts always get a lot of attention because of you. I kindly ask you to follow my account @abdalsalam1990 so that you can receive everything I post about our situation here. Although my posts get a lot of likes, we do not get donations. Please donate. Please share and donate.
Thank you so much, everyone. I wish you all the best.
Sincerely,
Your friend, Nader
