This is a poem I wrote in high school back when i couldn't decide whether i wanted to be Shakespeare or a children's author. Enjoy :) There was a man who was eccentric to an excessive degree He spring into the air like electricity He was upside down and all over the place like a clown on a Rover in space He was looking for a healthy distraction but his vehicle had just lost traction lost and alone he couldn't find his way back but out of his zone he heard a Mars attack It seemed so much bigger than everything around He couldn't shake his head from that deafening sound The ground was still there but the sun had deserted him Now a monster was somewhere, and it wanted to hurt him it would devour what was sour and then digest what was left and before we could even scream 'nothing is as good as it seems' For the gravity had grown too strong He knew it wouldn't be long Into his mouth he willingly sunk like a stoic chillingly drunk To the side of the dark he spotted a potion and with the Pride of a spark he plotted a notion Thinking that there is honour in submission Sinking every hair like a bomber without ambition He grasped the beautiful poison As the Monster kept the noise in He held it to his quivering lip and took the final sip... The sigh of his voice echoed through the cave with gladness The why in his choice had the bestowed; he could save his Sadness Is it suicide to enter the lions den?
