I'm actually sobbing because of the "the tv is glowing" trend. So many trans people have come out in the wake of this election and I'm so proud of them. That's how I felt too. The tv is glowing. Fuck.

Sure Hannibal has some issues and Will definitely has some (daddy) issues but what the fuck went wrong with Alana's childhood to make her an adult attracted to murderous people only-

not feeling seen is gut wrenching. no wonder Will and Hannigram went psychos over each other.

i think about what pains me the most about will’s spiral was that fact that it happened so clearly in front of everyone. yeah, even beverly said that he’s basically always been off but it was obvious there had been some sort of decline he couldn’t fight. i don’t know. to me, it felt as if he had been given up on. wasting away tiredly. everyone was tired. too tired to save each other because that’s just life.

In popular media, men are often depicted as violent or combative, a trope that reinforces outdated notions of masculinity. Rather than relying solely on violence, their relationship is rooted in psychological complexity. Will, a deeply empathetic profiler, grapples with his own darkness, while Hannibal, the sophisticated cannibal, embodies a different kind of menace—cerebral and manipulative. Their interactions contest the idea that masculinity must be expressed through physical dominance.

women have been conditioned to believe our oppression is “over”. I have had friends tell me they had “forgot” that misogyny even still existed. misogyny is there, every single day in society. our society has been built upon the very foundations of misogyny, of hate and oppression of women. don’t let anyone tell you that women and men are equal now and there’s nothing to be fighting against. we are still fighting.

Honestly, I feel sorry for workers of the Baltimore State Hospital for the Criminally Insane when Will started visiting Hannibal.
Like— Virtually every visit that Will is like foreplay between him and Hannibal. Especially in The Wrath of the Lamb when Hannibal calls Will "a cunning boy" and Will says "I need you, Hannibal", "You're our best shot, Hannibal. Please". Seriously... these two kinky gays.
And in general, Hannibal is so shameless that he even tells Will "I gave you a child, if you recall."

it's simple really: october is for horror movies with highly stylized villains and iconic monsters because they make for good costumes. early november is for gothic horror because of the fog and decay etc. late november is for zombies (commentary on consumerist culture). december is for psychological horror and stuff where they're trapped in a room because that's when you have to go to holiday parties with your family.
