Mid-December Updates
Hi everyone!
Happy Holidays! The next Pomefiore chapter is finished and ready to be updated tomorrow! I added some extra scenes and a familiar character who I felt should've made an appearance at VDC but didn't. Below is a sneak peek.
Hope everybody is having a wonderful time with friends and/or family!

“Ten minutes till we’re on stage,” Jamil said calmly as everybody waited in the dressing room. Now that the adrenaline from the Overblot battle died down, anxiety replaced them as each Night Raven member tried to steady their nerves. Rook had his usual smile pressed tightly into a worried expression. Even the cheerful Kalim had to keep his hands on his knees to stop them from shaking.
As soon as Malleus fixed the VDC arena, Jamil ended his Unique Magic. Neige was confused and disoriented for a few minutes, wondering how he ended up on a makeshift stage with a microphone but immediately took everything in stride as the entire crowd cheered for him, which worked in favor of Claire and the others. However, a lot of the workers were dashing about in a bigger frenzy than usual since that improtu Neige concert left a lot of things still unfinished.
The Night Raven dance team were the same. They all struggled to hide their wounds and scars from the Overblot battle. Rook helped Epel with the stage makeup; Claire and Grim passed out water bottles to everyone; Ace and Deuce had cold packs. Every minute or so, Claire kept glancing over at the door.
They all waited on bated breaths in the room for a faculty member or even a director to burst in and declared that they learned the truth, but so far, no one has questioned them about the stage or the Coliseum. It appeared that Malleus had truly returned things back to normal.
“They’ll call for us soon. Let us get head over to backstage,” Vil announced, standing up. “Make sure everything –” He suddenly winced in pain and clutched his ribs. He grabbed the corner of the dressing table and steadied himself.
“Vil, are you okay?” Rook immediately got up from his chair.
“I’m fine.” Vil held up an arm and waved the vice head away.
“Qui. If you say so,” Rook said quietly, stepping back as the Pomefiore dorm head straightened up. This time he didn’t stumble.
Claire and Grim glanced at each other with unease while the others decidedly looked anywhere else in the room.
Vil had whipped up a potion that dulled the pain from his Overblot and used thick makeup to hide the bruises on his face. The Pomefiore dorm head was always a pro when it came to hiding his injuries and pain, and to an untrained eye, he looked perfectly fine. The fact that he still winced and stumbled was telling that the Overblot battle took a rather large hit.

Early December Update
Hi everyone!
I am 99% finished with the next Pomefiore chapter. I'm planning to post it either Dec 7 or 8.
The goal is to finish the Pomefiore arc by the end of the year (fingers crossed!) and start on the next one either at end of Dec or early Jan.
Here is a sneak peek for the next chapter. Enjoy!

“When we tell you to trust us, you trust us, got it?!” Ace growled, his hands on his hips.
“I’m very sorry. Truly. I did not mean to scare you both, and I will do my very best to stay away from danger,” Claire said, bowing her head deeply.
“Well, I wasn’t scared!” Grim said, puffing up his fuzzy white chest.
“Quiet you,” Ace growled before turning to Claire. “Why do I get the feeling that that won’t happen?” He glared at Claire like a teacher who was judging whether his student was truly sorry for forgetting her homework more than five times in a row.
“In my defense, three of those times were because I was trying to save you guys.” Claire looked up sharply and pouted.
“Three?” Ace snorted in disbelief.
“The chandelier? Riddle’s strawberry tart? The anemone? Do I need to spell it out?” Claire said, sticking out three fingers for each event. “And don’t forget those times I got your basketball uniform from the ghosts because you ‘forgot’ to pick them up from the laundry room.”
“Hey, hey, let’s stop fighting,” Deuce finally interjected before Ace could argue back. “Ace, cut her some slack. She said she was sorry. Though, Claire, I do agree with him on this. You need to bring us in when there is trouble. And we will make sure to not drag you in any or forget our uniform,” Deuce added hastily after a glare from her.
“Well, at least you woke up faster than last time,” Ace said with a sigh and scratched the back of his head. “So, I’ll forgive you just this once.”
“Last time?” Epel repeated as Claire rolled her eyes.

Late Nov Update
Hi everyone,
Got a huge break and have been furiously catching up on my writing. I haven't had a chance to check my messages but expect replies sometime before the end of this week.
The good news is that the next Pomefiore chapter is 100% complete! I'm doing a quick check on grammar and stuff, but I'm planning to have it published Nov 26 or 27.
We are heading to the end game, so in terms of arc, we are about 80-85% complete! About five more chapters I would guess.
Thank you for your patience, and expect more updates before the end of the year.
Below is a sneak peek for the upcoming chapter.
Enjoy!
“HEY! Stop ganging up on him like that!”
A rather tall boy came thundering down the paved street. His backpack flapped noisily against his back as he waved his fist in the air. He had white hair with a matching pair of wolf ears and tail.
“Oh, Pyroxene, it’s Jack! Run!” the kids screamed and scampered off. It took a second for Claire to register what the kids had just said.
Wait, did they say ‘Jack’? Oh my god, that’s Jack! Claire’s heart almost squealed from the cuteness as the little wolf boy snarled at the bullies’ retreating figures. Vil, on the other hand, wore a mildly baffled look at the turn of events before Jack turned to him.
“You’re the new kid, right? Are you okay?” Little Jack asked in his blunt way as he brushed his bangs aside.
Despite being two years younger than Vil, Jack already stood a couple of inches taller. He even had some muscle on him, clearly the results from strength training.
“I know boxing and fencing. I’m perfectly capable of handling a bunch of bullies by myself,” Vil said, flatly as he hitched the strap of his leather messenger bag up on his shoulder.
“Oh… I see. Sorry about that,” Jack said, scratching the back of his head. Vil paused as he watched Jack shuffling his feet and realized how rude he was being to someone who just helped him.
“My apologies. You did help me out regardless. Thank you,” Vil said and held out his hand. “I’m Vil Schoenheit.”
“Oh, uh… Jack Howl.” Although he accepted the handshake, Jack looked rather taken aback by the gesture, clearly not used to dealing with such a formal introduction or handshake.
Vil turned his head to the direction where the bullies had run off. “I can’t believe those children couldn’t separate from fiction and reality. They must be quite daft.” He scoffed and shook his head, but his voice carried a sense of heaviness that Claire could feel. It hurt him more than he would admit that he was seen as a villain.
“I don’t watch T.V. a lot, so I didn’t get what they were saying,” little Jack said slowly as he scratched the back of his head, “But isn’t the fact that they can’t figure it out it’s all fake mean that your acting is really good?”
Vil blinked in surprise and immediately chuckled. “You’re right. I’ll get a main character role next time and make them eat their words.”

“If I ‘ad them brooms, ah could just fly over n’ take care of this,” Epel said.
“And my cauldron could knock him out.”
“Not before I give him my special Grim fire!”
“Enough with the fantasizing!” Ace snapped.
“Everyone!”
Deuce, Ace, Epel, and Grim looked over to see Jamil waving from the H section of the stands.
“Get over here!” Jamil called out.
“Easier said than done,” Ace groaned as he ducked and ran. The slowest to reach Jamil was Grim, who belly crawled the entire way.
“Jamil!” Kalim exclaimed as he and Rook came over. “Thank three wishes you’re okay!”
The three upperclassmen were now in their dorm uniforms. The swapping-clothes magic required skills beyond the first years’ knowledge. Epel was the only one in the trio who swapped his dorm uniform but that was only because Rook was in Pomefiore and had authority to do so.
Jamil and Kalim had their Scarabia sleeveless black hoodies while Rook and Epel had their Pomefiore royal purple robes. Dorm uniforms were designed for magical combat and physical protection, so the lashes of the rain didn’t affect the others badly. Ace, Deuce, and Grim were forced to endure the rain as their teeth chatter.
“Wait, where’s Claire?” Kalim said, noticing the missing member of the group.
“I told her to hide and stay away from the fog,” Jamil said, pushing back a strand of his braided hair from his face.
“And she listened?!” Ace said incredulously. “But how… Wait, hold on! You didn’t –”

Late Oct Update
Hi everyone,
I've been busy since my last update with IRL stuff. Pomefiore is still coming along but it is going to take a bit more time than I've planned. Based on a couple of changes I had to make, I would say that it is sitting at 60% done.
Thank you for your patience!

I just finished my midterms for this semester of school.
My brain is fried and will need a reboot before I can restart writing again... or sugar. Lots of sugar.
Pomefiore chapter will be up next by late Oct/early Nov hopefully.

Early Oct Update
Hi everyone! Been super busy the last couple of weeks!
I'm working on one POV chapter at the moment and should have it posted in the next couple of days.
Pomefiore is on hold at the moment. I have it at about 50%. I'm debating on whether I want to combine two drafts I have written or keep them separated.
Hope everyone is doing okay! Please take care!

Early Sept Update
Hi everyone!
I got good news! I I managed to block out time to write, and Pomefiore is now 80% completed!
I've decided to combine two chapters I was originally going to separate, so please bear with me as I polish up some parts.
I'm aiming for a mid-Sept update at this time.
Below is a sneak for those who want to know what is coming up!
See you soon!

“By the way, your performance during rehearsal was splendid,” Vil said with a rather convincing smile, “You always had a way to captivate everyone in a heartbeat. You always have.”
“Thanks, but your performance was amazing as well!” Neige insisted. “I don’t think I could ever pull off such a cool and intense song like yours. And every dance move was perfectly in sync! I was totally sucked in and didn’t even realize it was over.”
“I see. It appears we both have things we aren’t good at.”
What’s going on? Claire wondered desperately as the two continued to chat rather amiably. Still unable to move, she could only hear bits and snippets of the conversation. Vil was almost speaking in a whisper at this point. She tried to lift her leg, but it remained glued to the floor. Internally, she had been screaming, mentally wondering if anyone could read her mind and hear the cries for help.
“Say Neige. Are you thirsty? I’ve been taken with this apple juice brand.” Vil pulled out a glass bottle with Epel’s apple farm logo on it.
The one missing bottle from the dressing room.
“Oh, I remember seeing that on your Magicam!” Neige’s eyes widened with recognition. “I’ve always wanted to try it. Thanks for bringing one for me!”
“No problem,” Vil said, handing the bottle over. “Enjoy.”
Claire’s eyes widened with horror as Neige popped the metal cap off. The Queen disguised as the Crone offered Snow White the poison red apple. She lifted it to her mouth and took a bite…

Late Aug - Early Sept
Hello everyone,
Super sorry for the lack of updates! I've been so busy with work and night school, I haven't had the time to work on my writing.
The good news is that the upcoming holiday will give me time to catch up and open up some free time to write.
I'm planning to block out some time to just focus on writing (because I miss it!), and will give you an update sometime next week of how far I managed to progress.
Everyone, take care! I'll see you soon!

Mid August Update
Hi everyone!
Got great news! Pomefriore is 99.9% completed! I need to do one last final review. The chapter should be posted either 8/19 or 8/20.
I am working on the next chapter atm which is about 30%?
Please enjoy a sneak peek below!
-TWSTStories
“Stay. Here.” Ace repeated as he grabbed his plain clothes. “In fact…” Before any of them could react, he pulled the long ribbon off from one of the fancy fruit baskets.
“What are you - !” The next thing Claire knew, Ace had tied a rather elaborate and complicated knot from her wrist to the nearest chair.
“Grim, don’t you dare help her,” Ace called out to the back.
“Huh? What ya say?” Grim said as bits of chocolate chip cookies flew across the room.
“ACE!” Claire exploded, but the first year ignored her as he dragged Deuce and Epel to the second changing room. She tried to go after them but was immediately pulled back. The chair was secured to the ground and couldn’t be dragged across the floor. The ribbon didn’t budge no matter how hard she tugged. She glanced down at the knot and scowled, not bothering to untie it.
Ace had always been good with magic tricks, and rope tricks had been one skill that he had mastered quite well.

Early to mid-August
Hi everyone! It's been a while.
The Pomefiore chapter is still chugging along. I have made some big changes, and after some debate, decided to combine two chapters into one. In short, I decided to make Chapter 25 longer, but it will take a bit more time to address some of the issues I had with this section of the story.
Pomefiore is about 60% done right now, and I will give updates when it is completed.
Take care! And to those going back to school, good luck!
