        to say that deuce was nervous would have to have been the understatement of the century. why, why, why couldn’t he just be cool and suave? he was cursing himself inside and out while he sat next to you, clenching his fists tightly in his lap as the moon slowly rose into the darkening sky. you hadn’t been a couple for too long- only a few weeks- but deuce couldn’t help but want to go a little further with you. 

oh, nothing too scandalous...! he would surely combust if you mentioned that word starting with s in front of him. however, he found himself staring longingly at your soft, delicate lips more than he’d care to admit. what did they feel like? how would they feel connected to his own? he couldn’t get the schoolgirl-like blush off of his cheeks when he thought of such things.

deuce wanted to kiss you, in short. he really, really wanted to kiss you. but... how? that was the magic question. he had invited you on a date outside, where you would finally get some some time away from the other first years (namely ace, that bastard, he thought). he figured it would be the perfect opportunity to finally connect with you in a way other than some chaste hand-holding, but now that he was there, it seemed to be so much harder than he imagined. god, why did this whole romance thing have to be so damn complicated?

“deuce?”

“ah...!”

he did not mean to scream.

however, when he heard your giggles, he sighed shakily and untensed a little. “s-sorry.”

“it’s okay, promise,” you assured him. “what’s wrong? you seem really nervous.”

he swallowed thickly, running a hand through his dark hair. “i... it’s nothing!”

“of course it’s something!” he almost cried when you frowned. “please tell me.”

another sigh escaped deuce’s lips, this time heavy and full of worry. he took a second look at you, admiring the way your skin looked basked in the light of the moon and the expression of concern you had on your face, all because of him. he wanted to be the only one to see you in such a way- to see how beautiful you looked no matter what time of day it was, to see the way your eyes shone whenever you discussed the things you were passionate about. 

deuce decided it was now or never- he needed to be bold, before someone else came along and did it instead of him.

“i would... i would like to kiss you!”

your cheeks tinted an even darker red than deuce’s. “ah- o-okay...!” you said softly, smiling shyly back at him. god, you’re so cute.

deuce took in a deep breath before scrambling to find your hand. he leaned in close, close enough that you could see the nervousness in his eyes. you gripped his hand a little tighter, hoping to reassure him.

ever-so-slowly, the space closed between the two of you and your lips finally touched. deuce felt some type of new magic awaken within him, something that he’d never experienced before. his lips were surprisingly soft and felt perfect against yours, like the pair of you were meant to share this moment. he moved his free hand to rest on the back of your neck, carefully tugging you closer to him.

it was only when you were both out of breath when he carefully pulled back, still having his face close to yours. you felt his breath softly fan your slightly-swollen lips, even more so when he let out an airy chuckle.

“thank you,” he murmured; you could faintly feel his lips moving against your own.

“you don’t have to thank me.”

something told you that you and deuce would be sharing many more kisses from tonight onward.

        mornings with kalim are relaxed and fun! it’ll take a while to get him out of bed; he’s quite a heavy sleeper and insists on snuggling with you the whole night. he’s stronger than he looks, so good luck wiggling out of his grasp! he likes to have the two of you laze around in bed in the morning, cuddled up with each other, and talking about nothing.

        kalim loves taking you on his magic carpet! it doesn’t matter where you go, so long as you two are alone together. his smile can make any ride feel utterly magical. he’ll definitely hold your hand or have an arm around you the whole time, too. you’re the person kalim likes spending time with the most; any magic carpet ride is bound to be fun if you’re there!

        jamil’s isn’t a fan of messing around, so there isn’t really much time spent in bed cuddling. he’ll softly kiss your forehead when he wakes up, whispering gently that morning has arrived. he always cooks your favourites for breakfast, even if you don’t ask him to. when he’s not running around like mad for kalim, jamil will take the time to sit with you and eat. it’s nice to get some time alone to spend with his favourite person.

        eichi’s idea of courting includes vaguely-threatening flirting (”your eyes are beautiful... i’d love to have them”) and spending loads of cash on you. you can tell he’s interested in you by the $500 necklace sitting on your desk one morning and the frequent coffee dates to the most expensive café in town he takes you on. he can be sweet, though- gently brushing your hair out of your eyes and telling you that you look gorgeous tonight. it’ll be quite the ride for sure.

        souma has absolutely no idea what he’s doing. he tries to compliment you and ask you on dates, but he fails miserably. he also tries to impress you with various sword techniques (which, i mean, should work. who wouldn’t be impressed by a cute boy with a sick sword?). he tends to follow you around like a lost puppy and offer to help you with anything you may need, too! he really wants you to like him as much as he likes you; he’ll do whatever it takes.

        jade is pretty strict about his sleep! he likes to be perfectly energized and capable during the day, so he goes to bed at around 9pm and wakes up at 6am. it likely wouldn’t change when he started dating you- he’d probably encourage you to match your schedule to his if you’d like, so you can spend more mornings together! jade would be happy to brew you a cup of coffee and whip up a lovely breakfast for you.

 ↳ black tea; what do they look for in a person?

        above all, jade hates boring things. he wants someone who’s interesting, to keep him on his toes. he’d like someone who can respond to his quips with equally witty remarks and who he can have interesting conversations with. so long as you can keep him busy and interested, you’re good to go.

        floyd’s sleep schedule is as unpredictable as he is. on weekends and time off school, sometimes he goes to bed at 8pm, sometimes it’s 5am. the only consistency is when he does go to school, and even then jade has to pry him out of bed. he still has a tendency to go to bed late despite it being a weekday. similar to jade, his habits wouldn’t change when he began dating you. old habits die hard, as they say! if you snuggle with him at night, good luck getting out of bed before at least 12pm.

        floyd definitely wants someone cute that he can tease! he’ll like it if you get flustered easily whenever he shows you any affection. however, also like jade, he would also look for someone who he can hold good conversations with and sarcastically talk back and forth to!
