Hi all! I'll cut right to the chase and give you the juicy dirt: Befriendus is a member of the Fruity Rumpus Asshole Factory! You probably don't know what this is yet, or maybe you've already been given the rundown from one of our brand new adopted siblings. This is what those ominous bells were tolling about. I tried to warn you. I tried to tell you, dog.

The Fruity Rumpus Asshole Factory (FRAF for short) is an artist collective of Homestuck fanworks, jointly promoting and monetising under a free license granted by Andrew Hussie! That is to say, we are officially sitting at the cool kids table now.

I'm a New Zealander actually, but that's neither here nor there.

Now that we have an Official Homestuck License, we've been given the green light to earn money from the project! This means that we get to do things like sell Befriendus merchandise, hypothetically. And by hypothetically, I mean COMPLETELY THETICALLY. There will be no secret lore hidden on the inside of our shirts or rendered visible on our stickers via UV light (although I should write that down...), but the entirety of our cut will go directly to the artists responsible for bringing this game to life!

In addition to all that, there's a brand spankin' new, specially -designated subforum on the FRUITY RUMPUS ASSHOLE FACTORY FORUMS! The FRAFF for short! Want to liveblog your experience reading Meulin's friendfic? Want to have a friendly chat with the developers? Want to ask questions about our take on Beforus? Do you just miss the MSPARP Forums? I miss the MSPARP Forums dearly. If you do too, you'll be delighted to know that this forum is custom-built by and for the Homestuck community, with all sorts of fun bells and whistles. Wowza!

^ That is what we in the business call a completely wrong assertion. I am going freaking bonkers bananas about this. It is an honour, a privilege and so unbelievably surreal all at once. I never thought I'd get to sit alongside such massive, professional projects like these, and I certainly never thought I'd do it by caring excessively about the dancestors of all characters. They're like, half a character each.

The only reason I can do this is because of you. Everyone that's excitedly reblogged or retweeted our announcement posts, or drawn fanart, or filmed themselves reading our game aloud, or just even looked at our itch.io page, all of you. Thank you, if you've ever given us a look or a try.

And of course, the only reason you've given us a look or a try is the incredible team members that have helped make this game a reality. Making a game is hard work (clearly, or else it wouldn't take us years to release everything), and yet everyone's come together to make a finished product for characters very few people care about. Thank you, to anyone that has ever said "yes" to joining our team.

And finally, a massive thank you to the various Homestuck officials that have invited us to join the community.
