Benefits of cleaning your skin
In the world of skincare, regular skin cleansing with Twachaa skincare products is critical for maintaining healthy looking skin. Here is why facial cleansing is so important to keep the skin healthy.
Removing build up
A common benefit of cleansing the face with Twachaa skincare products is the removal of oil, dirt, and other unwanted dwad cells. Throughout the day, our face continually comes in contact with pollutants, dirt, bacteria, viruses, and old (dead) skin cells. Washing your face daily removes these impurities to give the skin a fresh look. Without proper cleaning, your skin would be covered with a thick layer of soot and dirt which make it difficult for other skin care products to penetrate the skin.
Boosting hydration
Along with the use of a good moisturizer, regular facial cleansing is an important factor that helps in retaining the hydration & maintain the required level of minerals. Dehydrated skin feels and looks rough, aged and wrinkled. Cleansing helps manage pH levels of the skin; enabling sufficient Twachaa skin cosmetics and water retention.
Maintaining clear skin
Tiny glands under the skin secrete an oil called sebum to protect the skin from harmful chemicals and outside agents present in the atmosphere. These glands use hair follicles within the skin as a pathway to form a barrier that prevents the penetration of harmful agents or other bacteria by allowing only the oil to reach the surface of the skin.
Excessive dirt builds up on the surface & blocks the follicle, trapping sweat, sebum, and dead skin cells. Lack of sebum on the surface of the skin allows bacteria to penetrate the follicle causing inflammation & resulting in acne.
Proper cleansing of the skin with Twachaa skincare products clears pores of debris & prevents dirt from building up, allowing the sebum oil to reach the skin surface unhindered; minimizing the chances of a breakout. Using a gentle face wash to clean your face daily is essential to keep the skin healthy, avoid acne & other skin problems.

How to get rid of hyperpigmentation?
You have got great skin but the one thing that stops you from stepping out without any makeup naturally with hyperpigmentation. However, hyperpigmentation is harmless and can be treated topically:
1. Exfoliate
If you regularly exfoliate the area around your mouth gently with an exfoliator, it can help lighten the skin and removes dead cells. Choose a chemical exfoliant that won’t scrape the skin which in turn may worsen the condition.
2. Skin brightening creams
Skin brightening creams can be an effective solution to lessen the dark area around the mouth. Look for ingredients such as kojic acid, vitamin C, glabridin (a licorice extract), grape seed extract, azelaic acid, arbutin, curcumin or niacinamide. These ingredients help by blocking the production of tyrosinase which is needed to make melanin.
3. Medically prescribed ointments
You should consult a dermatologist if other remedies don't work. Your dermatologist may prescribe hydroquinone containing ointments. This drug slows down tyrosinase production by restricting the cells that make the pigment, which makes the dark spots fade faster (in a week or so). There is a range of Twachaa skincare products which help in reducing hyperpigmentation.
4. Laser treatments
Laser treatments in Faridabad are an effective way of getting rid of dark areas. Results of laser treatments also depend on your sun exposure, skincare routine and your genes.
Fraxel laser treatment is used to treat pigmentation. It is a microscopic, topical laser treatment that promotes collagen and elastin regeneration. It is effective in resurfacing the skin tone and reducing dark spots.
5. Acid Peels
Your dermatologist may recommend a glycolic acid or salicylic acid peel to treat the dark skin around your mouth. However, the pigmentation can return as these peels do not offer a permanent solution. These peels repair the damaged cells by penetrating deep into the skin. Post-treatment precautions like applying sunscreen, staying out of the sun and protecting the skin can make the effect of the peels last longer.
6. Natural Remedies
You can also use natural remedies like oatmeal scrub, lemon juice, papaya, aloe vera to treat the dark skin. Most of these natural ingredients can be found in your kitchen. Unless you have an allergy to any of these, you can try using them to get rid of the pigmented skin.
There can be many reasons that cause pigmentation from sun exposure to melasma during pregnancy and side effects of medicines. This can be treated with Twachaa skincare products and the dark patches can be done away with permanently. You can use the above-mentioned ways to treat hyperpigmentation along with Twachaa skincare products for best results.

How to choose the best face wash for oily skin?
Do you have a greasy, shiny face even after cleansing? It is time to switch your face wash that's made for your oily skin & for that you should understand how you can choose the best face wash for oily skin.
Are you sure about your skin type?
Before switching your face wash, you must know about your skin type. There are four major skin types - oily, dry, normal and combination. You might feel oily towards your T-zone – a part of your face that is made up of the nose, chin, forehead and area circling the mouth. This area is called the T-Zone because it shaped like the letter T. Most times, the T-Zone is oiler than the rest of the face because it has a higher amount of oil glands – even if you have normal skin. Whereas there is oiliness all over the face in oily skin type.
What is oily skin?
In the dermal layer of your skin, the sebaceous glands secrete sebum. When the sebaceous glands are hyperactive, they produce excess oil causing skin to be oily. No one can control how much sebum their skin makes. However, it’s possible to manage it.
How to choose the right face wash for your skin?
For healthy skin, it is advised to choose a face wash that is:
Light Weight
Non-comedogenic
Gentle
Fragrance Free
Sulfate Free
Ingredients to look out for in face wash for oily skin
1. Salicylic Acid
Salicylic acid contains beta hydroxy acid which helps remove excess oils (sebum) from the skin. It clears the top layer of the skin to remove dead skin cells and excess oil that builds up. However, it can sometimes make your skin unusually dry.
2. Benzoyl Peroxide
Benzoyl peroxide removes the excess sebum from the skin by using an exfoliating agent and prevents the development of acne. Benzoyl peroxide can lead to redness and dryness. You should always consult a dermatologist before using Benzoyl peroxide because it may cause redness or dryness.
3. Glycolic Acid
Glycolic acid contains alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) which is used in a variety of moisturizers, face washes and toners. It is derived from sugarcane & has a good penetrating effect which is useful for oily skin. Glycolic acid prevents pores from clogging which may lead to breakouts on the skin.
4. Niacinamide
A form of vitamin B3, Niacinamide offers a lot of benefits. It controls the existing acne on oily skin and also controls the production of sebum. If you have some allergy, Niacinamide cream may aggravate them.
You should consider your skin type, medical history, allergies before choosing a face wash for oily skin, it is best to consult a dermatologist or choose a face wash which is curated for your skin type.

Dry Needling Therapy: An overview
Trigger Point Dry Needling (TDN) commonly known as Dry needling, is a technique used for the treatment of myofascial pain with a solid filiform needle. A dry needle is used without medication which is inserted through the skin into the trigger points of the muscles. A trigger point is a band of dysfunctional muscle tissue which can be a result of overuse, muscular imbalances, postural abnormalities, or nerve impingement. Trigger points are associated with bursitis, tendinitis, and neurological impingement of the spine among other things.
Dry needling therapy emerged from trigger point injections: to induce relaxation, a corticosteroid or an anesthetic is injected into a trigger point. But there is a limit to how often these drugs can be injected into the body. Researches were conducted to observe the response of a trigger point when just a needle was inserted. After it was proven that inserting a dry needle induces a similar response, a new form of treatment was developed. One of the major findings was that the spontaneous electrical activity (SAE) of a trigger point – which gets elevated when compared to normal muscle tissue – is mitigated from just the stimulation from the metal needle. Increased SAE at a trigger point is what induces muscle spasm or keeps such tissue in a contracted state. The therapy allows the trigger point to relax to its normal resting phase. In some cases, it relaxes trigger points immediately, resulting in an instant improvement in muscle tightness, and pain levels. It may also take multiple treatments to achieve a lasting effect.
Does Dry Needling hurt?
Depending on what tissues are being treated, each patient describes the experience differently. Mostly, patients don’t feel the needle penetrating the skin and the treatment is painless. People feel deep cramping of the muscle that the needle was inserted into along with some involuntary muscle twitches which is termed as the local twitch response (LTR) and means that it is positively affecting the target tissue. Most of the time, the patient is no longer aware that the needles are even inserted as the needle stays in the tissue causing these sensations to subside.
Dry needling therapy can only be operated by a licensed healthcare specialist who has passed the appropriate standard requirements. Physical therapists must have at least two years of clinical experience before they can perform dry needling therapy.
Dry needling therapy has proven to have many physiological mechanisms to reduce pain and disability:
Local Mechanical Effects
Tenting, winding, or needle grasps to disrupt and deform fibroblasts within the neighbouring collagen tissue inducing an increased opioid-mediated response.
Local twitch response causes an improved range of motion, decreased muscle contraction, and mobilizing collagen restrictions within the muscle and fascia.
Electrophysiological Effects
Reduced spontaneous electrical activity (SEA) at the active trigger point.
Improved neuromuscular timing and activation.
Neurophysiological Effects
Increased pressure pain thresholds.
Stimulation causes decreased inhibition of the descending sensory pain pathways.
Chemical/Cellular Effects
Due to a decrease in vascular compression, improved blood flow to tissues and nerves.
Immune system and inflammatory responses are initiated.
Although dry needling therapy has been around for many years, it is a relatively new treatment to many. DN is being used successfully to treat headaches, neck pain, low back pain, knee osteoarthritis, plantar fasciitis, sacroiliac joint pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, tennis elbow, rotator cuff tendonitis and many other common musculoskeletal conditions.

Misconceptions About Laser Tattoo Removal
A tattoo, that was once considered to be a permanent mark on the body, is now removable with the help of specialized Laser treatment for tattoo removal and leave people with a clean slate. Numerous methods have been used over time to remove tattoos, but laser tattoo removal is certainly considered the most effective and safe procedure to remove a tattoo. The laser works by delivering powerful and short pulses of energy to the tattoo, which break the ink particles. Our body’s immune system responds to the laser treatment by clearing all the broken ink particles over the course of a few weeks.
The most effective method of tattoo removal is through laser, but many people have misconceptions about the procedure and individuals are apprehensive about going through the treatment. Here are some common misconceptions about laser tattoo removal:
Tattoo removal creams are as effective as laser tattoo removal
There has been no significant evidence to prove that ointments like wrecking balm, rejuvi, pro fad, etc. effectively remove ink from tattoos. In most cases, these creams use other abrasive chemicals or bleach to mask the tattoo instead of removing any of the ink particles. Once the tattoo’s ink is settled into deep layers of the skin, these creams are ineffective in penetrating deep layers.
Laser treatment for tattoo removal leaves scars
The risk of scarring is very low if proper protocol is followed. It’s important to consult with laser specialists; these specialists will use a recommended amount of energy and ensure that the scarring doesn’t happen. Specialists also recommend a gap of at least 6 to 8 weeks between two consecutive sessions to ensure proper healing of the skin.
Laser hair removal and Laser treatment for tattoo removal are similar
Laser tattoo removal often uses some of the same wavelengths as some laser hair removal, but the duration of the pulse differs. The pulse from a tattoo removal laser is about a million times weaker than that of a hair removal laser. Due to these differences, hair removal lasers are inappropriate to use for tattoo removal. It will direct a pulse of energy that lasts for much too long, potentially scarring the skin and causing thermal injury.
New tattoos cannot be removed
Fresh tattoos can also be treated as long as there are no scabs and the skin has completely healed. Contrary to the popular belief, it’s beneficial to treat new tattoos because the ink is in the top layer of the skin in new tattoos, which is easier to treat. Most people will need around 4 weeks of healing time before beginning laser tattoo removal treatment, but the time may vary.
Tattoos will come off with just one Laser treatment for tattoo removal
No one has the means to completely break all the ink particles in a single session. There are various factors – like the type of ink used in tattooing, the amount of ink in the tattoo, the depth of the ink, any scar tissue present in the tattooed skin – influencing the treatment and the number of sessions someone will need to remove a tattoo completely.
Laser treatment for tattoo removal is a process which requires time and commitment, but it is the most effective technology for permanent tattoo removal.

Mistakes to avoid while undergoing laser hair removal treatment
With the advent of laser technology, painful hair removal methods such as waxing, shaving or tweezing are slowly being replaced by the best laser treatment in Delhi. Nowadays, one of the most commonly asked cosmetic procedures is laser treatment in Delhi. Laser procedure involves beaming highly concentrated laser rays which are absorbed by the pigment in the follicles, interrupting the metabolism of the follicle and stops the hair growth. It is useful for removing unwanted hair from the legs, arms, underarms, face, and other areas. Lasers specifically target coarse hairs and the surrounding skin is not affected.
Laser hair removal is a medical procedure that needs trained professionals. So, before you schedule your first appointment, here is a list of common mistakes to avoid while getting a laser treatment in Delhi.
Avoid sun exposure
Many people confuse sun-exposure with sun tanning. It is not safe to expose laser-treated skin to the sun. The reason for this is that the laser targets the pigment of the hair and if the skin is exposed to the Sun, the rays may activate the melanocytes of the skin, and the laser light may potentially burn the skin. If your doctor delays the treatment after having unprotected sun exposure, it is for your safety.
Expecting the results instantly
Many people think that laser hair removal will remove all hair in just a few treatments. But laser hair removal is about permanent hair reduction - not removal. It is normal for new hair to grow throughout one’s lifetime, so it’s quite possible to witness a small amount of new hair growth occurring even after the treatment. Secondly, hair can be destroyed only in the anagen phase that is when it has a root. Therefore, multiple sessions are needed for optimum results.
Arriving with oiled and unshaven skin before the treatment
Many people are not ready for their laser treatment in Delhi. It is recommended to shave the night before or the day of treatment and not use lotions or cream on the skin. It can take unnecessary time and effort to remove the products from large areas and it can also make the treatment less effective. Clean and shaved skin will be more effectively treated and the results are more visible.
Compromising on follow-ups
It’s important to be regular on follow-ups. Irregular follow-ups make the treatment less effective as it should be and many times the results are delayed. To get the optimum results in the shortest time, it is advised to regularly follow-up as per treatment schedule recommended by the skin specialist in Delhi.
Unrealistic expectations.
Laser hair removal is also a treatment. Different bodies react differently to the treatment – for some, the results might be visible sooner while delayed in others. Also, the laser cannot detect light hair and sometimes has difficulty in detecting very fine hair.
Before going for the laser treatment in Delhi, it is important to know about the treatment and consult with your doctor which procedure suits best for your skin type and what are the precautions you should take to get the best results.

Is a hair transplant the best solution for hair loss ?
A hair transplant is a cosmetic surgery which involves harvesting hairs from a certain part of your body called the "donor site" and transplanting them onto your scalp. To put it in simple words, hair transplant means taking hair from different parts of your body and moving it to areas that are thinning or bald of the scalp. Hair transplants work because most of the hair on your head remain unaffected by DHT – the hormone causing baldness. If you have diffuse hair loss or a receding hairline and want to treat it, getting a hair transplant might be a potential remedy. When performed by the best hair transplant surgeon in Delhi, a hair transplant can give back the volume and thickness that you had in the past by restoring your hairline. Moreover, it important that you have realistic expectations about the procedure as a hair transplant isn’t a miracle, and it might not completely cure baldness. Even after the treatment, you might not instantly see results.
Should You Get a Hair Transplant?

Like all medical surgeries, it’s important to have all the information about the limitations, effects, and costs of the procedure before you go ahead. It’s important to have realistic expectations from a hair transplant. If you’re completely bald, hair transplant is not going to give instant results but it will improve the hair volume. However, if you have minor hair loss, a hair transplant can improve your appearance by reversing several years of hair loss.
Just remember, getting a hair transplant doesn’t permanently stop the hair loss. Even after the hair transplant, you’ll need to take precautions to maintain and protect your hair.
Before You Get a Hair Transplant
Getting a hair transplant can turn back the clock of hair loss. However, the most effective way to give yourself a thicker and fuller hair volume is to take precautions before your hair starts falling out. By taking precaution to prevent hair loss like using treatments like minoxidil, finasteride, and other hair loss prevention products, you can have more of your hair and avoid a hair transplant in the first place.
The skill and experience level of the surgeon is a key factor in determining how your hair transplant will look. It’s important to choose a good surgeon with years of experience and you’ll probably end up with a great-looking, natural hairline and a significant improvement in your appearance.
But before you decide to get a hair transplant, you must do your research and take all the protective measures as suggested by your doctor during the consultation. To get the optimum results follow all the instructions before and after the hair transplant as suggested by your hair transplant surgeon in Delhi.

How to treat melasma?
Melasma often remarked as pregnancy mask, is a common skin problem that is characterized by brown patches on the face caused by hyper-pigmentation in the skin. Common areas it affects are cheeks, forehead, chin, bridge of the nose, and upper lip. It can be an unsightly condition, but treatments are available.
What causes Melasma?
While the true cause remains unclear, there are a few triggers that bring about the onset of melasma:
Your gender: As compared to men, women are much more likely to suffer from melasma because of the hormonal changes during pregnancy – hence the name,  pregnancy mask. Skin tone: Melasma is hyperpigmentation which is caused by colour-making cells in the skin called melanocytes. People with dark skin tones are more likely to suffer from melasma due to the number of melanocytes. Genetics: People who have a relative who suffered from melasma are much more likely to develop the condition as it’s also carried by the genes.
Treatments for Melasma There are various treatment options available for people suffering from melasma. Dermatologists in Delhi may recommend different treatments depending on the severity. Time: Melasma can be triggered by hormonal changes after pregnancy. Although it might not disappear completely, chances are it may fade on its own. Hydroquinone: This topical treatment works by lightening the skin tone. You can purchase hydroquinone products without a prescription, but it is recommended to get it prescribed by your dermatologists in Delhi for optimum results. Procedures: If topical medicine is not effective, dermatologists in Delhi may recommend different procedures. Common procedures for melasma include microdermabrasion, chemical peels, and laser therapy.
A bit more on Laser TherapyLaser therapy is one of the best laser treatment in Delhi for melasma which is increasing in popularity due to the treatment’s success when used in combination with other melasma treatment methods. Laser therapy uses specialized hand-pieces that filter light from different parts of the light spectrum. Each band of the spectrum has a wavelength that is ideal for different treatments, so the light used for sunspot removal will be different from the one used to treat melasma. The laser rays emitted are absorbed by the pigment in the affected areas, subsequently reducing the pigmentation.

What Is Male Pattern Baldness?
In simple words, male pattern baldness is a condition mostly caused by hormonal imbalance in men that hinders the growth of hair follicles, reducing the rate of growth. Eventually, the follicles stop producing hair, and the hairline starts to recede. It is termed as Male Pattern Baldness because it follows a fixed pattern; it starts from the front of the hairline and goes way back gradually. Additionally, it affects the hair at the crown of the head. Medical terms used to refer to Male Pattern Baldness include hereditary alopecia, male pattern alopecia, and androgenetic alopecia, but they all lead to the same thing, baldness.
A classification system is employed for diagnosis and to determine the rates of progression of the condition. Physicians diagnose the level of Male Pattern Baldness using the Norwood Male Pattern Baldness Classification System.
How Do You Fix It?
There are several options to treat male pattern baldness which include hair replacement for men through surgical, non-surgical, and medical techniques to achieve the desired look and restore hair. Specially trained physicians commonly recommend the following:
Hair Transplantation - This type of hair restoration provides a permanent fix and risk factor is very little. The hair replacement  surgical techniques involve grafting of hair from areas of the head which are not affected by Male Pattern Baldness to the bald areas of the scalp so that the hair begins to grow in those areas.
Laser Hair Therapy - With laser hair therapy, the growth is stimulated by focusing infrared light on the areas of the scalp affected by Male Pattern Baldness.
Prescription Drug Therapy - Propecia and Rogaine are the two most commonly prescribed therapies to treat Male Pattern Baldness. Rogaine is a saw palmetto solution rubbed onto the scalp when hair loss is slightly noticeable while Propecia is a drug taken orally. The medications aim to reduce the hair fall and regenerate hair growth.
To know whether you are suffering from male pattern baldness, you should consult with the best hair transplant surgeon in delhi specially trained in hair loss and restoration. A hair transplant surgeon will evaluate and examine your scalp as well as access your complete medical history and recommend the best hair replacement treatment plan to achieve your goals.

Keep your hair healthy and moisturized
From UV damage to over styling, colouring to split ends, damaged hair are caused by both external environmental factors and internal factors. Variety of products and hair treatments can repair damaged hair, before adding the best-reviewed hair products in your cart, make sure you understand what your hair needs.
It is important to notice that, the only “living” portion of the hair is the hair follicle. Grown out hair contains no biochemical activity which in terms of science is to say that it is considered dead. The living cells that produce the hair shaft is at the root of each strand and the hair we visibly see. This is the reason why fully repairing damaged hair is so difficult but it’s not impossible.
Your hair is more prone to breakage due to lack of moisture. Lack of natural oils or moisture causes dry hair which is most commonly caused by over-washing your hair. The natural oils your hair needs for optimal moisture is stripped by over washing. So, keep the washing to 2 to 3 times a week and avoid the daily wash, if possible.
Check the shampoo and conditioners you’re using that there are any harmful chemicals present that can further damage your hair. Buy hair products that contain ingredients that moistures your scalp like olive oil, avocado, and argan oil – all can strengthen and moisturize your hair. Conditioner is especially important to fix damaged hair and prevent dry hair. Use conditioner on the mid-shaft to the ends of your hair and massage it for a minute or two longer than your shampoo. And at last, carefully rinse all the conditioner out.
Weather also plays a big factor in causing dry hair. The air is colder and also drier in the winters than those hot summer months. These environmental factors cause further problems and strip the hair of natural moisture. To ensure your hair is getting the moisture it needs, it’s important to adjust your conditioning routine slightly in the winter months. For healthy hair add a hair mask or deep conditioning treatment to your hair routine, if you want to fix dry and damaged hair in the winter.
The best way to repair damaged hair is by building healthy hair habits which will help you prevent further problems. There are various hair treatments – like hair loss treatment for men and women, hair replacement for men, hair implantation, Plasma hair treatment – to regenerate hair follicles for healthy hair. It’s best to consult a doctor before going forward with any hair treatment.

Stay inside and keep the scars at bay
Prevention is the best cure when it comes to facial scarring. Especially, with the outbreak of COVID-19 and visiting your dermatologist is a risk you shouldn’t take. Discoloured scars, indented scars, and raised scars are the three most common scars. While these scars are difficult to fade, prevention is always advisable as scars leave skin-deep punctures, minor abrasions, and discoloured mark if left unintended. Ultimately, visibility of a scar depends on how well its wound has healed—to make these small marks nothing more than memories especially while you’re self-isolating, ushering a healthy healing process is absolutely essential.
Tumblr media
Here are some of the ways you can practice amid lockdown to prevent scaring:
Basic Prevention
A number of facial scars arise from acne. To avoid permanent scarring don’t squeeze, pop, pick, have a breakout, or otherwise irritate pimples at all. Scabs are the same — appearing rough and dry, they might not be pleasing to look at, but they’re nature’s first step towards wound healing. If you pick them, it will only prolong the healing process and may also increase the risk of scarring.  Disinfecting skin-deep wounds and popped pimples with a cotton swab dabbed in an antibacterial agent will keep your skin from drying out and gently washing (but don’t scrub) them with a non-drying, the mild facial cleanser will mitigate the risk of getting a permanent scar. You can also use scar treatment creams for prevention.
Essential Moisturizing
Moisturizing is paramount when it comes to healthy healing; it is the best way to keep your skin supple. Moisturizing with an oil-based moisturizer or ointment will keep the dried-out wounds – just when they form scabs – from leaving a scar behind. Even moisturizing with plain-old petroleum jelly, or any scar treatment cream, or any skincare product that features it as a key ingredient will do the trick. After cleaning the wound daily with a facial cleanser, make sure to apply the moisturizer.
Keep It Covered
To speed up the process of healing and reducing the potential risk of scarring, after you clean and moisturize the skin, keep the healing skin covered. Cutting a flesh-toned bandage or using a circular bandage will help keep the healing skin covered while remaining fairly inconspicuous. Moreover, you can try using products such as hydrogel or silicone gel sheets. In any case, covering the wound and keep changing the bandage every day after cleansing and moisturizing is a must. If you have sensitive skin, a dab of scar treatment cream and keeping small marks covered with a nonstick bandage will do the trick.
Protect and Massage
Lastly, when your wound has healed, keep the mark covered and continue to follow your regular moisturizing routine with a broad-spectrum sunscreen rated at SPF 30 or higher it will prevent discolouration and redness. Gently massage the skin using a bit of vitamin E oil with your fingertip and for a few minutes. Contrary to popular belief, vitamin E doesn’t actually fade scars, but massaging the skin with the oil does serve as a moisturizer and helps break down dense collagen bonds, hence mitigating the scar’s visibility over time.
