horrific article from the bbc broke last about israel detaining healthcare workers, stripping them naked, and beating them for days on end. we already knew israel was doing this to palestinian detainees, but to be deliberately targeting medical personnel--doctors and nurses and medical assistants on the ground trying to heal wounded palestinians--and then literally torturing them are on levels of cruelty i can't even begin to compute.

a humanitarian law expert in this article calls the footage coming out of this "concerning." i call it the terms racists love to throw baselessly at arabs: barbaric and inhumane.

No shit. But this is the real world and I told her that Israel is bombing Palestine and she still said she’s neutral. She said that Palestine did things too.

I am Kelly, My family is in danger. They are trapped in a city in Gaza called Rafah. They fled there because my grandmother was diagnosed with cancer and the only chemo treatment she could receive was there. Due to a militia that is increasingly taking over the country and bombing hospitals, all of the disabled, sick and elderly had to flea to Rafah to get medical treatment. Hundreds of thousands of Gaza people fled out of Rafah earlier this week after the militia overtook the Gaza military. My family was unable to flee because my grandmother is elderly and sick.

As of yesterday, my grandmother, disabled aunt, aunt who is sick with Malaria and my two teenage girl cousins were trapped at the top of an apartment building that has been overtaken by militia. They are helpless.

My aunts are sick and they have been injured. My two cousins are just children. Please help my family.

Luchino x Reader pt 2

As 7:00 pm approached you starting getting a bit nervous. You went into the bathroom to makes sure you looked nice. One voice is telling you ‘you look fine and another is telling you ‘you look Awful’ but as you looked in the mirror you start to realize that you look fine.

“Holy crap It’s almost 7:00 I better leave!” You said walking out of the door to your house as you started walking to the party you anxiety rose. ‘Why does he want too see me again?’you pondered trying to stay clam and be cool.

As you arrived to the party you noticed that there weren’t too many people there and so a little part of you felt relieved. “Thank goodness.” You whispered to yourself as you walked into the party.

As you began your ritual of just standing in the corner looking like you’re in time out you felt a tap on you shoulder “Ah Mrs y/n you came.” He said calmly “Oh well of course I came. You wanted me too right?” You asked all of questioning why you came “Yes I did. And don’t worry I made sure not too many people were here. I wouldn’t want to overwhelm you like last night.” Luchino stated “Really? Thank you.” You said with a smile on your face

“So would would you like to do first” He asked happily “well umm…” you didn’t get a chance to finish your sentence as the music distracted you. Luchino noticed you got cut off by the music “would you like to dance?” He asked going in front of you holding his hand out “oh well I can’t really dance and this is more of a slow song and what if I step on your feet.” You voiced concerned for your pride and his feet. “You’ll be fine i promise. I’ll guide you.”

“Are you sure?” You asked worried as took his hand “yes, very.” He affirmed as he took you to the dance floor. The song was a slower and more melo song in contrast to the one playing before it. Luchino held you close to his body as both your hands were intertwined with your other hand on his shoulder and his other hand on your waist.

After a bit of finding where your feet go while trying not to step on his feet you felt you got the hang of it a little but there was only one problem you couldn’t stop looking down at your feet. “It’s ok if you look up you know.” All of a sudden you hear Luchinos voice “Oh well-“ you tried to speak but you were cut off by him “I know you don’t want to step on my feet but if you do I promise you it’s not the end of the world.” He interrupted. “Alright if you say so.” You utter as you lifted your face up to see his face smiling at you.

After a while of dancing and talking for a bit you had both gotten a little bored. “Hey would you like to go outside again?” He asked “Yes I would love to.” You replied as you let go of him.

As you both sat at the fountain you noticed something crawling up Luchinos arm. You didn’t know whether he felt it or not but you felt need to say something. “Umm hey i don’t know if you noticed but there’s a lizard crawling on you.” You uttered trying not not to sound freaked out “Oh I know she’s mine. She’s just wants attention.” He answered picking her up “Cool! Can I hold her?” You asked “of course you can!” He said holding her out to you.

As you took her in your hands she started crawling all over you. You starting giggling because it tickled “So what’s her name?” You asked as you somehow manage to catch her and put her back in your hands again “Hmm good question I haven’t named her yet.” He admitted “what do you mean? I thought you said she was yours?” You questioned him “well the thing is she’s not really mine… one day she just sort of came up to me and took a strange liking to me.” He said laughing slightly “Well we have to give her a name because how will we- I mean you call her.” You corrected in a bit of an awkward tone “Oh well you do make a good point.” He muttered

“So what should we name her” you asked as you both got from your seats and sat her down on the fountain as you both got on your knees to get a better look at her. “Well what about Lea?” He proposed confidently “No. Lea the lizard that’s to cheesy.” You remark “how about Liza?” He laughed “Ok that’s enough suggestions from you.” You declared.

The lizard watched as you both bickered about her name. “Ok well what did you have in mind?” He asked “well how about… Oh! Bianca!” You said with a big smile on your face “Hmm… Bianca… That’s a good name.” He agreed “I know” you purred smiling “Not only that but our little Bianca here seems to like it.” He stated as he noticed she was wagging her tail “Haha that wonderful!” You laughed getting up from your knees and scoping her back up into your hands

As you started to talking to Bianca about how bad Luchino is at naming things he smiled at you adoringly but he snapped out of it when you asked “What time is it?” “Oh i think it’s around 12 o’clock” Luchino guessed “Oh really well I think it’s time for me to go.” You uttered “Well alright if you must leave I won’t stop you. But you will come tomorrow right?” He questioned hoping the answer was a yes “Of course I will Luchino. Bye now. Oh and bye bye Bianca” you said as you kissed the top of her head and gave Bianca to Luchino.

“Good bye Y/n have a good night” he said calmly taking Bianca into his hands “you too Luchino.” You added as you left the function. “Lucky” Luchino said to the lizard when you were out of ear shot.

“Well if anything i hope this party is good.” You were never really fond of parties but since you’ve never really been to one you thought ‘well I might as well go to see what it’s like.’

When you got to the party you saw everyone there dressed so elegantly and beautifully. Everyone and everything felt so big and you felt so small. You tried dancing but then you realized you can’t and just kind of stood there.

You didn’t like this at all. You were not having fun no one was coming up to you no one was even looking at you. ‘This is the worst.’ You thought to yourself as you tried hard not to look as dead inside as you were feeling. Then you noticed an opening out side the party. Looking around you and walked over to it and went outside.

Finally being away from all the people and noise you sat down near the pond and looked you your refection. You took a deep breath “why did I even come here” you sighed. “By free will I hope.” A deep voice chuckled from behind you you whipped your head around too see who was behind you. “Who are you.” You question. He made a bit of a shocked face “You, you don’t know who I am?” He asked “No I don’t think so, I’m a supposed to know who you are?” You Probe “Well I’m the person that’s hosting this party. Luchino Diruse.” He answered back “Oh well… I’m y/n.” You muttered out nervously “Well it’s nice to meet you y/n” he spoke confidently as he took your hand to kiss it “W-well it’s nice to meet you too.” You said trying hard to keep eye contact.

“Well what brings you here miss Y/n” Luchino questions as he sits down next to you “Well I just wanted to take a step out of my comfort zone and well.. you saw how that went.” You murmured “well coming to a party is a good start but coming to one of my party’s might be to good of a start.” He stated while laughing. All of a sudden you hear a loud yell “Hey Luchino! Come on!” You both looked over as you heard the voice.

“Please will you come join me?” Luchino asked as he got up “Oh well.. maybe it’s best if I just go home. I’m kinda partied out for the night.” You said getting up and backing away “Well alright, but can you promise me you’ll come back tomorrow?” He asked walking a little closer to the party “Umm sure I’ll come back tomorrow.” You said standing up backing away “Well I have to go. I’ll see you tomorrow.” He said walking of back into the chaos of his party.

As you walk home you wondered ‘How can such a clam man throw such crazy party? Does he really even enjoy them? It has to be exhausting to throw them every night. Right?’

As you walked into your home you got undressed and went to sleep.
