Top Beauty Moments from the Fall 2019 Runways in Milan
While Milan Fashion Week is about showcasing the clothes on the runway, what we’re loving this season is all of the fun and innovative beauty looks. The perfect inspiration for our makeup looks this spring.
At Prada, we saw models like Gigi Hadid on the runway without eyebrows in a flight jacket and military jacket mashup with a lace skirt. Moschino had colorful bouffant wigs on Dilone and Bella Hadid who literally looked like money in dresses with dollar bill prints, gold lamé, and tons of jewels. Versace gave us wispy hair with gold accessories on Kendall Jenner and Fendi gave us elegant finger waves on Kaia Gerber.
See all the show-stopping hair and makeup from the Milan runways.

Summit Teardrop Off-Road Camper
Colorado Teardrops has been making teardrop trailers since 2014. Designed to be lightweight, the Summit is only 1,600 pounds — meaning you don't need a full-size truck to tow it. Built on a rugged aluminum frame and fully insulated, the Summit can sleep two adults and two children and is made to go places most campers can't. A heavy-duty suspension with 35-inch offroad tires make it capable of getting into the woods, and not just a paved parking spot. Two doors open into the cabin, and a rear opens to reveal a galley with storage and a countertop. With its small size and quality build, the Summit is perfect for getting into nature, and not just next to it.

The Bad Girls' Caucus Has Been Sworn In and Congress May Never Be the Same
It’s not every day I get to see history made. It’s even less often that the history being made makes me feel anything other than abject, existential horror. The 2018 midterm elections gave us a historic moment as women won in record-breaking numbers. Now, the Congressional wins that propelled those numbers past old records are coming to fruition as the 116th Congress is sworn in today, January 3. It’s another record-setting day, as the newest iteration of the legislature will have more women and more women of color than any previous legislature.
This could mean many things for a governing body famous for a white man beating another white man with a cane, but my greatest hope is that it means Congress will never be the same.
Central to this historic success is a crop of young women of color who have been prominently featured in media coverage of the new Congress, perhaps most splashily and recently by Vanity Fair. This legislative girl gang of Ayanna Pressley, Rashida Tlaib, Sharice Davids, Deb Haaland, Veronica Escobar, and their de facto ringleader Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez could aptly be called the bad girls’ caucus because of their “we didn’t come to play” attitude.
But there’s much more to these new lawmakers than just a camera-friendly shine. There is immense power in how far they’ve come. I’m only a few years younger than Ocasio-Cortez (the youngest ever member of Congress), and the way I used to roll my eyes anytime getting things done in Congress came up feels like a habit I might be able to break. More importantly, thousands of young women around the country may finally see themselves reflected in their representatives, even if, according to NPR, only about one in four members of the new Congress are women.
Things already appeared to be shifting in preparation for the newest members of Congress. Sexual harassment rules changed recently and, as NPR reported, a new Congressional childcare facility has been established to help what CNN noted as an unusually high number of young mothers coming to the House of Representatives. Democrats are already promising pie-in-the-sky campaign finance reform and new protections for federal workers targeted by past Congresses. The much-talked-about Green New Deal has the makings of old-school social and economic reforms, from the days when Democrats were closer with working people than they were with the bosses who run those workers’ companies.
Could this be a taste of what’s to come — a Congress where bad actors are held accountable and babies are cared for? Could this be the end of big money politics? Will it mean an end to the government shutdown and the political games played with people’s lives? Can the new House of Representatives stand firm against President Donald Trump’s administration, his border wall, and his policies that harm so many? What role can veteran House Democrats like Nancy Pelosi and Maxine Waters play in these efforts? And can this new Congress be just the first of many to challenge our political status quo instead of upholding it?
No doubt, there will be temptations ahead for the Democratic majority in the House, including its new members. According to Politico, Wall Street was already trying to find its way into the Democrats’ pockets during the election. And Roll Call documented how corporate lobbyists are trying to find a way to get the incoming lawmakers who swore off political action committee (PAC) money to change their tunes.
They say absolute power corrupts absolutely. If that’s true, then a little power can probably do some bad, too. The new members of Congress are finally stepping into their power today. Time will tell what that means, but if we’re lucky, this power will overturn the systems that allow for corruption. And maybe, if that luck endures, this history-making election and Congressional class will keep making history so that Congress will never be the same, and we’ll all be the better for it.

Miley Cyrus Shared New Photos From Her Wedding With Liam Hemsworth
As many celebs celebrated Valentine's Day with adorable gifts and gushing social media posts, Miley Cyrus unveiled a major surprise from her December 2018 wedding with Liam Hemsworth. After keeping much of the ceremony under wraps, Miley shared a number of romantic, and even hilarious, images from the couple's wedding ceremony.
She kicked off the walk down wedding memory lane with a photo of the pair seated. In the black and white image, Miley is making a funny face and Liam is smiling. "My Valentine every single day," she captioned the photo. In an additional feelings-inducing image, the couple embraces beneath a flower archway; in the caption Miley wrote, "Thank you for always bending down to hug me ... I promise I will always meet you in the middle on my tippiest toes! I love you Valentine! @liamhemsworth."
Miley kept the photo surprises coming, with an image of the couple standing behind what looks to be their wedding cake, a picture of Miley holding her wedding bouquet, a perfectly posed shot of the singer looking at the camera, and a final image of Miley smiling and holding her flowers.
The newly released photos mark the first time that Miley and Liam have shared additional glimpses from their wedding. The couple, who were married in a private December 23rd ceremony, had been keeping most of the details of their special day out of the public eye. After photos from the ceremony were leaked to social media by a friend in attendance, fans began speculating that the pair had tied the knot. Miley later confirmed the rumors and posted a selection of photos from the ceremony.

What I Wore
I know I am ridiculously spoiled with beautiful, mild year-round weather here on the central coast of California, but… it’s been stinking cooooold here!  We finally got a little bit of rain here and that also came with chill and gloom.  I have determined this week that I cannot move anywhere other than California, because if I got much colder or had any less sunshine, I might just go crazy.  This girl needs sunshine.
I do these posts to keep myself accountable to actually getting dressed, but also to give you some ideas if you need them.  I always try to link to the same or similar items (because most of what I wear is older and no longer available).
top similar // cardigan similar // jeans similar // boots // glasses
Even after all these years of these “What I Wore” posts, I still have a hard time getting dressed on our days we stay at home!  I always go for comfort first.
cardigan // sweater similar // jeans // boots similar // earrings
I’m going with a sweater on top of a sweater look here – I told you its cold!  Again, I cannot recommend these jeans enough – they are so comfortable!  I am finding the waistline to be too loose, so I will need to take it in at the waist.  I find myself hiking them up throughout the day, and its not a good look ;)
dress similar // tights similar // jacket similar // ankle boots (different color) // earrings
I wore this on Sunday for church.  When I get tired of dressing up jeans for church, its time to pull out the cable knit tights to pair with a dress!  I got this dress around Thanksgiving from Old Navy, the boots are a few years old (but still in stock in other colors), and this field jacket is one of my favorites from Stitch Fix.
sweatshirt similar // jeans similar // shoes similar
shirt // jeans // shoes
As you can guess from what I’m wearing here, it actually started to warm up the last couple days!  It was 80* yesterday!

It's Halloween meets Hogwarts at this Australian Mount Tambourine wedding
Photos by Mitchell J Carlin Wedding Photographer
Aimee rocked a gown of deep purple lace which, of course, looks amazing against a fall backdrop of yellows and oranges. Her partner Matt had a matching black suit and purple tie for the wedding at Cedar Creek Estate in Mount Tambourine in Queensland, Australia.
On top of the Halloween theme, the pair also loves Harry Potter and offered guests handmade wands to wave them down the aisle. There was also a Marauder's Map seating chart to add even more magic to an already super magical day. Are you ready to get some Potterphile meets Halloween good times on? Don't miss those Deathly Hallows earrings!

“Close to my heart. Never to part": Circus romance abounds at this Dumbo-inspired wedding
Photos by XO and Fetti Photography
Anyone excited to see the live action version of Disney's Dumbo that comes out today?! We've got a surreal and gorgeous Dumbo-inspired wedding inspiration that took place in a draped black and white tent with all kinds of chic circus details.
You might notice that the groom's suit mimics a ringmaster’s velvet attire and the beaded wool bodice of the bride’s gown. Ooh and the brightly colored invitation suite with a gold elephant motif totally updates one of our favorite themes. And on the velvet textured RSVP card: the option to check “Yes, I think I can. I think I can. I think I can” and “No, I thought I could. I thought I could. I thought I could.” Such a good reference.
The reception tables had some killer details like the black and gold trimmed china with red velvet napkins, purple-colored wine glasses, and gorgeously modern florals. Don't miss the elephant silhouette menus accented with Dumbo’s magic feather. The cake was an ombre confection of blues, purples, and reds topped with Dumbo’s silhouette and another magic feather. But seriously, the pièce de résistance was the life-sized baby elephant display.
Another tiny detail we loved: The acrylic and gold calligraphy sign had the lyrics from Dumbo’s classic song, “Baby Mine."
“Close to my heart. Never to part.” Start scrolling to see if all and find out who created all of this Disney-inspired magic…
Some behind the scenes magic!

Ariana Grande Responds to Mac Miller's Tragic Death
Ariana Grande just shared a touching tribute to Mac Miller in the wake of his tragic death, posting a black and white photo of the rapper with no caption. Ariana and Mac had been friends for five years (they first collaborated on "The Way" in 2013) and had dated for two. They made their relationship official in 2016, and called it quits in May 2018.
Advertisement - Continue Reading Below
Ariana has previously been candid about how Mac's substance abuse problems—he is believed to have died of an overdose— affected their relationship. And after the two broke up, she shared a statement online responding to people who accused her of being responsible for Mac's behaviors.
Despite their split, Ariana continued to support Mac, taking to Instagram Stories May with a sweet message: "Hi! This is one of my best friends in the whole world and favorite people on the planet Malcolm McCormick," Ariana wrote. "I respect and adore him endlessly and am grateful to have him in my life in any form, at all times regardless of how our relationship changes or what the universe holds for each of us!"
Following the news of Mac's death, Ariana received a torrent of hate on her Instagram from people who thought she was to blame—so much so that the comments on her Instagram account were ultimately disabled. Miller's sudden death is awful enough, but the impulse to blame someone who clearly loved and supported him during his life is extremely upsetting, too.

Penn Badgley Reminds Fans His "You" Character Joe Goldberg Is the Worst
Former Gossip Girl star Penn Badgley is now playing a stalking, murderous boyfriend on You, a thriller that recently moved to Netflix from Lifetime. Now that You is gaining a whole new audience, fans of the show on Twitter are seemingly having a bit of difficulty with romanticizing Joe Goldberg, who let's repeat, is literally a murderer.
Luckily, Penn is here to clear things up. In a series of tweets on Jan. 9, he addressed fan commentary on the series, including one person who wrote, "Kidnap me pls." Penn's response? "No thx." Another fan tweeted, "Said this already but @PennBadgley is breaking my heart once again as Joe. What is it about him?" And Penn readily answered: "A: He is a murderer."
If you haven't seen season 1 of You yet, Penn plays Joe, a bookstore manager in New York who sees a stranger in his store one day and decides to follow her, steal her cell phone, stalk her friends (including Shay Mitchell's character Peach Salinger), and more to make her fall in love with him. The show aims to turn romantic comedy tropes on their heads, reminding viewers at every turn that Joe's relationship with Guinevere Beck is anything but healthy. Part of the trick, of course, is that at times Joe and Beck seem cute together (isn't it great how we've been conditioned to believe stalking can be flattering?) — until you remember Joe is actually a violent, obsessive dude who entraps women under the guise of being a woke, sensitive, literary-minded boyfriend.
It seems some people prefer to ignore Joe's violent tendencies because Penn is hot. Which, you know, is a problem! One person projected their thoughts about Penn's Gossip Girl character Dan Humphrey onto Joe, saying, "Okay but @PennBadgley was sexy as Dan but lord Joe is a whole new level." Penn retweeted it with the response, "...of problems, right?" Also, don't get us started on the many problematic aspects of Dan Humphrey.
And yes, Penn does see the similarities between the two characters. After a fan wrote, "If @PennBadgley keeps playing stalker dudes obsessed with reading and writing, i have no choice but to believe he is in real life. shady mf smh," Penn joked that he'd have to talk to his agent about the kinds of roles he gets pitched for.
While Penn attempts to remind viewers that Joe is objectively the worst, it seems he's also channeling the weird romanticization of Joe Goldberg to prepare for season 2 of the show. "The amount of people romanticizing @PennBadgley’s character in YOU scares me," a fan wrote, very correctly. Penn tweeted, "Ditto. It will be all the motivation I need for season 2."

This Camping-Inspired Wedding in Oregon is Brimming with Blissful Boho Details
Teal + JD transformed an entire campground in Oregon into a blissful boho day…and we have a feeling you’re going to LOVE it! We’ve seen a number of camping-inspired weddings on GWS, and each one is brimming with darling details and personality. Think a camping wedding captures you and your love perfectly? Well, get ready to take notes!
Their photographer, Jessica Heron Images, tells us: After their lake-side ceremony we went to Sparks Lake outside of Bend, Oregon to take bridal party photos! It was way too much fun. It was a very collective effort to make this day what it was. Teal’s grandma made all of her desserts and the spread was the most adorable thing…all woodland and squirrel-themed, too cute!
Let’s proceed to Elk Lake Campground, shall we?
The Details
Teal found her hat at Shop Gold Dogs in Seattle, Washington. Love the idea of rocking a bridal hat? Find our DIY on how to create a floral one of your own!
Um, is this the CUTEST or what? We’re all for bridal boots!
As for that gown? It’s from English Department!
The Ceremony
Our Musical Choices
Processional: Your Hand in Mine by Explosions in the Sky
Recessional: A mix of Leon Bridges, Alabama Shakes and Queens of the Stone Age
First Dance: Mood Indigo by Louis Armstrong
Teal shares: We really talked about wanting a fun wedding! That’s why we chose Elk Lake outside of Bend, Oregon! We wanted a bohemian mixed with rocker feel to it and truly be about embracing the moment with us.
How we looooove an aisle lined with rugs + all that greenery!!
Our Favorite Memory From The Wedding
But if I had to pick one it was waking up the day of the wedding to coffee and my future husband. We had all of our close friends and family staying out at Elk Lake in cabins, glamping tents, and old fashion camping tents. But we woke up early had coffee with our dads and JD and I went down to the docks at the lake and jumped in the freezing cold water. It was magical because it was so quiet and peaceful. The sun was rising and the lake was covered in a thin layer of fog. I was wearing an all-white custom-made bikini and JD in black shorts. That time spent alone talking about how we wanted our minds to be clear for the day with no stress is exactly what happened. I will remember that morning for the rest of my life!
The Wedding Party
We asked teal where the bridesmaids got their gorgeous gowns and she told us: ALL OVER! I let them pick them out! I know a few of them got their dresses from Vanilla in Bend, Oregon.
Also, how gorgeous are all those bouquets brimming with greenery? Well done, Flowers By Katie!
How we ADORE these mix and match looks for the ladies!!
The Sweethearts
CUTIES!
The Camping-Inspired Reception
And, of course, if you’re having a camping-inspired wedding…everyone gets to hang out in tents, right?
Ohmygosh!! How sweet is this cake Teal’s grandmother made?
The Newlyweds
Our Advice To Those Planning Now
I would say don't sweat the small stuff and don't be afraid to ask others to help. People want to help! Let it be fun! After all it should be FUN! It truly was the best day of our lives!
Congrats from the team at GWS, Teal + JD!!

6 Things Barack Obama and Beto O'Rourke Could Discuss Other Than the 2020 Election
A recent meeting between former President Barack Obama and Beto O’Rourke, the Texas Democratic senate candidate who lost to Ted Cruz during the midterm elections, has sparked further conversation about a potential presidential run for O’Rourke in 2020.
First reported by The Washington Post, the meeting sparked a lot of discussion about what it could indicate about O’Rourke’s next political move. But we’re stuck imagining what a conversation between the two might’ve entailed. Here are five important issues that might be interesting to hear them chat about if they have any other hangouts planned:
Immigration Policy
From a creative interpretation of a 2005 C-Span clip of Obama to asserting that their family separation policies are similar (spoiler alert: they’re not), President Donald Trump has brought up former President Obama’s views on immigration quite a bit lately. Obama does hold the record for deporting more immigrants than any president, although he scaled back in the last 2 years of his presidency.
It certainly was not standard practice to separate families at the border, as it became under Trump’s “zero tolerance policy,” though. In June, Obama posted an emotional Facebook message decrying the policy, writing in part, “To watch those families broken apart in real time puts to us a very simple question: are we a nation that accepts the cruelty of ripping children from their parents’ arms, or are we a nation that values families, and works to keep them together?”
O’Rourke, meanwhile, was a very vocal opponent of the policy; he took a break from the campaign trail to help lead a protest at a tent city where migrant children were held, also in June.
A conversation between O’Rourke and Obama might address Trump’s latest claims and allow the two men to discuss their ideas for immigration reform that focus on more than enforcement. After seeing how the system has been used by the Trump administration, there might be room to discuss how to keep the next Democrat to win the White House from relying so heavily on deportation.
The Criminal Justice System
Earlier this year, O’Rourke wrote on op-ed for Houston Chronicle readers on his plan for criminal justice reform that would include “[eliminating] private, for-profit prisons,”[ending] the failed war on drugs,” “[ending] the current use of bail bonds,” “[providing] meaningful reentry to help cut down on recidivism” and doing away with “mandatory-minimum sentences for non-violent drug offenses.” He also gave an impassioned speech about the killing of Botham Jean while campaigning.
Obama famously commented on the killing of Trayvon Martin in 2013, saying, “When Trayvon Martin was first shot I said that this could have been my son. Another way of saying that is Trayvon Martin could have been me 35 years ago.”
The duo of exceptional orators could discuss their ideas for police reform, including what did and did not work under the Obama administration — and what has happened since Obama’s successor has taken office.
Trump
Obama has tried to keep his comments on the Trump administration to a minimum but has made thinly veiled references to Trump in speeches about liars. O’Rourke, meanwhile, is vocally critical of Trump’s policies.
Both Obama and O’Rourke have been targeted by the president. A conversation between the two about Trump could go far beyond how to run against him in 2020; it could include a discussion on the nature of the presidency moving forward.
Healthcare
O’Rourke wasn’t shy in campaigning on “universal, guaranteed, high-quality health care for all.” He’s also been vocal about the fact that he doesn’t think Obamacare went far enough in achieving this goal.
When the Affordable Care Act (aka Obamacare) was originally passed, there was some consideration for a single-payer system that would be similar to universal healthcare. But as NBC News reported, one of the bill’s chief architects, former Senator Max Baucus (D-MT), didn’t believe the country was ready for it at the time.
But the 2018 midterms saw Medicare for All — another name for a universal healthcare system — gain currency in Democratic political spaces, as Business Insider documented. A discussion on healthcare between O’Rourke and Obama could address how that shift has taken place and what it could mean moving forward.
The Future of the Democratic Party
During the 2008 campaign, Obama represented a new face for the Democrats. With poise and youth, his election included record voter turnout as energized voters seized the opportunity to vote in a historic election.
O’Rourke has compared to Obama a lot this year, as Vanity Fair and Politico noted. He enters at a time when Democratic outliers like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez have made breaking from party orthodoxy a little more common than it may have been when Obama surged onto the national stage.
What does the future of the Democratic Party look like and how does the political party move forward? How does the party reach communities that feel they’ve previously been ignored by politicians? O’Rourke and Obama could have an enlightening conversation on what their political party needs to do to galvanize voters moving forward.
Punk Rock
This one’s just for fun. O’Rourke was famously in a punk band in the 1990s, as Vox reported. Turns out he still has a lot of respect for the punk scene all these years later.
“They started their own label, they pressed their own records, they wrote their own songs, they booked their own tours and they set conditions, like: you’re not gonna pay more than five bucks to come into this show,” O’Rourke told Rolling Stone as he expressed his admiration for the DIY ethics of indie label Dischord Records.
Obama had supporters in the punk scene, as noted by Consequence of Sound and Noisey. But a Vice investigation found that it seems Obama doesn’t have much punk in his personal library.
Maybe O’Rourke could trade him a starter punk playlist for some good tips on jazz — something Obama knows a fair bit about, apparently.

Today's Everyday Fashion: Best Ever Pencil Skirt
This has been one of my favorite - and your favorite! - pencil skirts throughout the years. So when I spotted this nearly-identical dupe online I knew I had to share! And while it looks similar, I think the new version (on the right) is much higher quality - it's a textured basket weave, while mine is an inexpensive stretchy material. It also has amazing reviews - of 74 people, 90% recommend it. For more ideas on how to wear it, I rounded up some options I've posted over the years. And below that, additional picks - to help you meet that shipping minimum. 😆 In the meantime, I'll be over here trying convince myself I don't need another pencil skirt!

Philly Garden Wedding Wedding at Cairnwood Estate
Magic was in the air on this sweet couple’s wedding day at Cairnwood Estate. Or should we say florals were in the air? The couple took “Garden Wedding” to a whole new level! With a European style venue, and stunning florals blooms at every corner (don’t forget to look up!) from Faye + Renee Floral & Event Design. This Pennsylvania wedding is beautiful from start to finish and these gorgeous photos from Tree of Life Films & Photography are the proof. Also, because we’re all suckers for a good love story, I’m sure we’ll all agree that this love story will be our new favorite holiday romance!
From the bride, Jackie: Ivan and I met through a mutual friend while we were both living in San Francisco. I had known this friend for only a couple of weeks when she insisted that she had the perfect guy for me. As the weeks went on, she continued to tell both of us that we had to meet. She eventually gave us each other’s phone numbers to set up a blind date. This was right as the holidays were approaching, so we put our first date on the calendar for two weeks out, following a crazy, busy work week and Ivan’s trip to Pennsylvania to visit family. The week leading up to Thanksgiving we texted nonstop. It felt as if we had known each other for years, even though technically we were strangers. On Thanksgiving day, we both found ourselves in San Francisco. (My family is local, and Ivan was flying out the next morning for his trip home.) We decided to meet up for a casual, post turkey drink and the rest is history. We knew instantly that this was something special. So much so that I even spent Christmas in Pennsylvania with his family! (yep…3 weeks later!) We love that our first date was on Thanksgiving, we are always reminded of how thankful we are to have found each other.
After a couple years together in San Francisco, we decided that it was time for the next chapter in our lives and moved back to Ivan’s hometown, Bryn Athyn, Pennsylvania. With the gorgeous, historic grounds of the Bryn Athyn Cathedral, Glencairn Museum and Cairnwood Estate right down the street, we really didn’t even consider any other venue for our wedding. Ivan has a lifetime of memories at all three buildings, so we were excited to create new memories together in the place that we now both call home.
From the bride, Jackie: After deciding on the venue, the amazingly talented Faye + Renee helped us design the wedding of our dreams with their vintage rentals and floral expertise. We wanted to create an overall aesthetic that was unique to us as a couple. We kept things classic and elegant for the Ceremony and Cocktail Hour, letting the stunning architecture of the buildings take center stage. For the Reception, we wanted it to be bright and fun! We played off of Cairnwood’s peach exterior with an abundance of florals in pink and coral tones. We really wanted it to feel as if we brought the garden inside!
Oh. Em. GEE! Is this real life? Faye + Renee Floral & Event Design pulled out all the stops and truly brought the garden inside with this floral masterpiece.
This beautiful lace Sareh Nouri wedding gown left no creative stone unturned. To say we’re obsessed is an understatement!
Um ,excuse me. THIS IS GORGEOUS! Don’t mind us as we’ll just be staring at this beaut for the rest of the day. Faye + Renee Floral & Event Design truly outdid themselves with this one.
From the bride, Jackie: The day of the wedding was magical! The weather held out long enough for us to get some beautiful shots with the wonderful Tom and Jennifer of Tree of Life Films & Photography. As we left the ceremony, it was as humid and rainy as it could possibly be, but we didn’t care! We danced the night away in complete bliss. My advice for any couple planning a wedding is to not stress over the possibilities that are out of your control. During the planning process I would have thought that terrible weather would have been enough to ruin the day, but it wasn’t. By the end of our wedding everyone was a hot, sweaty mess, and it was perfect. We wouldn’t change it even if we could! It was the best day of our lives.
We simply cannot get enough of garden weddings so after you’ve read their love story a few more times (We sure did!) we know that you will love this Spring Garden Wedding Inspiration.

Noah Centineo, Camila Mendes, and Laura Marano's Netflix Movie "The Perfect Date" Gets New Trailer and Release Date
TBQH, finding the perfect date might be harder than deciding on which shade of red lipstick to wear. And while Noah Centineo is unlikely to ever return our calls regarding a potential outing, he is starring in new film that has him taking on the role of becoming everyone's dream man.
For his latest project, Noah is starring The Perfect Date, an upcoming Netflix film which just debuted its trailer ahead of an April 12th streaming release. As the clip shows, Noah is taking on the character of Brooks Rattigan, a high school student who comes up with a brilliant scheme to help pay off his upcoming college tuition.
Unlike the character of Peter Kavinsky in To All the Boys I've Loved Before, Noah's newest character isn't quite as popular with the ladies. However, his luck appears to change when a friend agrees to pay Brooks to take his cousin to a school dance. During the night out, he comes up with the idea of offering his services as a date night chaperone to the masses. As he explains in the trailer, girls can pay him to be their Perfect Date for an evening. "Every date would be custom built," he says. "They could pick my personality, my interests, whether I'm a listener or a talker."
Of course, his services as the pretend perfect man definitely lead to some interesting evenings. However, it appears that his costars, Camila Mendes and Laura Marano, could cause him to think twice about his newfound aspiration to lead a double life. The trailer ends with Brooks making an important realization, saying, "I've been so many people these last few months. It's time to figure who I am and what I want."
Looks like we'll have to tune in on April 12th to find out if Brooks ever figures out life — or even just dating.
