Importantance of orderly triage

-remote for tv ‘on’ got its on button smushed weird

-remote for tv stops working

-we assume the remote gave up the ghost

-we buy a new remote

- we get home and put baterries from old remote in new remote because we have no spare AAAs

-new remote doesnt work

-scratch heads

-steal batteries from working firestick and put then in original remote

-original remote works fine

-return batteries to firestick, throw out old batteries

-return new remote and get AAA batteries instead

Moral of the story is just because something is old, doesn’t mean it stopped working because it was old. It could have stopped working for a perfectly normal reason

But also the batteries were more expensive then the new remote so if the new remote had come with batteries that actually would have been the better deal….. 🤢🧐
