I don't know how people can be anti-reconciliation when it comes to Schneeblings, they're all coping their shitty parents in different ways. Winter joined the Military, essentially being adopted into a new family. Weiss essentially 'went away to college', getting away from family but going more independent than the military.

Which leaves Whitley, the youngest, and didn't get to leave, so he had to adapt to survive. His dad being a controlling PoS, probably downtalking his sisters at every opportunity, his mom too drunk and passive to say anything otherwise. All Whitley can do is agree with their father, and yeah probably internalize what he says about his sisters, poisoning him against them.

So yeah I don't blame Whitley for how he acts, he's a product of his environment, he didn't exactly have anyone else after Weiss and Winter left.
