Lol what was supposed to be a doodle/break from the bigger thing I'm working on turned into a 2 day illustration 🙄 discovering the vector eraser was a double edged sword I'm so obsessive abt lineart now

Also ig this is the first time I've posted my Spider design huh.. there's one or two more after this, but this is the one closest to canon. I love making him a creacher lol

i could be coloring the creature (real drawing) but instead i am doodling na'vi wojaks on my phone. priorities

Colored a really quick sketch on my phone. I wasn't really aiming for anatomical accuracy so much as something usable/legible in about 10 minutes.. I'm still not used to drawing their weird dumb proportions lol

This is probably the color palette I want to use for him though. I like the idea of Quaritch's eyes being more green than his skin tone, while Jake's is kinda the inversion of that. Also I gotta say I'm not the biggest fan of the green tank top rip. But all of this is subject to change judging on how I feel at the moment so idk why I even said all of that

wait WAIT. jake trying to explain like extremely esoteric year 2154 internet memes to neytiri and obviously it's completely opaque and shes like i gotta try to understand this for him so she asks norm or something and norm is just like oh yeah i really dont get it either to be honest

you know how humor can be really hard to translate in a way that carries the joke due to linguistic finickiness. i think it'd be funny if it took jake exactly as long as he took to become fluent in na'vi to also understand na'vi jokes at all. like up until that point neytiri would just be like LOL jake why dont u give ur ikran a drink of pure fungus soup to wash down the yovo fruit LMFAO and hes like ha ha ha ha ha neytiri very funny :) (<- no clue what the hell shes talking about)

Imagine being someone who knew Jake Sully when he was still on earth. Like someone from either high school or the marines and only really knowing him as a acquaintance but you thought he was a decent enough person. You hear that he got discharged after getting injured and that's the last you heard about him for nearly eleven years.

And one random day you hear his name on the news and find out that he:

1. Went to Pandora to fill in for his dead twin that you forgot he had and use his million dollar lab grown alien body.

2. Was accepted into a alien society and clan and apparently got married.

3. Helped start and end a war that killed nearly half of the human military force on the moon while ridding on a prehistoric dragon the size of a building.

4. Sent almost every human left on the moon back to earth.

5. And possibly became one of the aliens permanently.

All within the span of three months.
