Pete being so affectionate and so obviously in love with Patrick that absolutely everyone around knows but neither Patrick nor Pete knows.
And Patrick only lets Pete be this close and weird to him and he doesn't even notice how freakish this obsessed man is with him, he just thinks this is how best friends are.
Neither really notices how they're basically in a relationship for years.
They get married before they even notice(they just thought it would be so cool).
