we've been working on a game! I took the last couple of months off to recuperate from post-grad burnout, but I'm slowly warming up to sharing work again :^D per my senior show: "Otherworld is a multi-player fantasy RPG where cross-cultural folklore meets personal sentiment and superstition. Inspired by the ethos of Peter S. Beagle's The Last Unicorn, Brian Froud, and Studio Ghibli, Otherworld is a creative sandbox where players can work together in real-time campaigns or create campaigns of their own. Play-testing coming in 2025."

Sanhaina /ˈsaʊ.naɪ.nə/ The aerial or celestial world, bound to Air. As the infinite (and therefore largest) world, Sanhaina reflects the future. Its tutelary deity is the Stranger. I am unable to visit it, and harpies are often cagey or hostile when speaking of it; thus I cannot fathom what its regions or markers might be like, and cannot relay them to you. We must imagine it is every bit as terrifying and beautiful as harpies themselves.

Pyriha /ˈpaɪɹˈi.a/ The infernal or ethereal world, bound to Fire; it is the beginning and the end. Pyriha is the smallest realm only by virtue of it being transient by nature—to my understanding, at least. Its tutelary deity is the Queen of Dust. Because its time and scale is entirely unquantifiable, it is not a world that can be freely visited or passed through, even by the greatest of Fae. Pyriha visits itself upon you.

Ferrana /fɛːr’ɑːnə/ The terrestrial or material world, bound to Earth. It is the second smallest realm and reflects the present. Ferrana’s tutelary deity is the Buried Queen. At one time, Ferrana and Tura intersected freely at many points; however, these connections are now as infrequent as they are unstable, and they are often guarded fiercely by Greater Fae. Ferrana is lush with marvelous flora and fauna, and seems not to suffer the mortal drudgery of Tura; it’s little wonder that we who find ourselves there may be loath to return home."

Nihila /niːlə/ The pelagic or aquatic world, bound to Water. It is the second largest realm and reflects the past. Nihila’s tutelary deity is the Hundred-Handed King. I suppose any self-aware creature visits its shores now and again, though I myself am not drawn to them often. In Otherworld as in Tura, all bodies of water belong to one great cycle, irrespective of size or distance; there are many shores of Nihila, and one infinite stretch of horizon."
