I hope everybody had a blessed Summer’s Day!
Growing up, and seeing the older children preparing for Summer’s Day as they neared their coming of age, I often wondered what it would be like when I reached that time and donned white, eager to learn the secrets of adulthood. Alas, being sent to the Circle before I even became a teenager, I never had mine.
As I prepare to turn 25 in a few days, I can certainly say I have achieved far more than I would have, had I not come into magic, and instead gone into Chantry work where I was promised at birth.
I look back, and would like to tell my younger self that the secrets of adulthood are incredibly dull anyway! Haha

I just melt every time my Commander calls me ‘my love’, or ‘darling’. These are the terms he uses most often for me, though there are plenty others, some of which are more specific and more like nicknames.
Been thinking about Cullen and wondering what he'd call his lover. Would he say "my love", or "my dear"? Both? If his lover is elven, would he try and call them "vhenan"? i n e e d a n s w e r s
I feel like he'd be most comfortable saying "my love" in private without prying eyes on them. He'd try and call his love "vhenan", but would most likely butcher the pronunciation. It's not a problem, though; Lavellan would find it both hilarious and endearing.

I have just recieved wonderful news!
My sister Lucille is to visit Skyhold for my birthday, so I shall be seeing her for the first time in three years, in two weeks time!
I wasn’t certain she would be coming since the rest of my family are busy. She’d be coming sooner, but she must remain in Ostwick for Summer’s Day. Oh, I am so delighted!
Maker, she’s going to meet Cullen!

Maker, the battles I’ve had for this exact reason.
He’s actually getting better at sleeping at a reasonable time, but it’s still a struggle. Luckily my stubbornness equals his, and when all else fails, I have quite the puppy-dog eyes, if I do say so myself.
What’s the commander’s favourite thing to do in bed? ;)
Sleep.

Ser Tristan, as far as weather, do you prefer the Free Marches, Ferelden, or Orlais?
Back with another interesting question!
Well, I am much better at tolerating the cold now than I used to be, and rain doesn’t bother me nearly as much. And while I appreciate some nice warm weather from time to time, I am not so able to enjoy it, especially given the clothing and armour that I wear these days. I would have to say Ferelden. Of course, many parts of Orlais have similar weather, so I’m speaking in broad terms. It’s interesting to think about- I’ve never really made direct comparisons before.
Of course, being based in the Frostbacks I am all but guaranteed to be acclimatised to the cold.
Thank you again! You have given me a brief respite from the tower of requisition papers I am supposed to read and sign.

Did you ever get Cullen to wear that Avvar outfit?
I did! Alas, he refused to wear it outside of our quarters. It took a lot of convincing and puppy dog eyes. I dare say he will find my making it up to him more than worth the trouble, however.
Let me say, he looked every bit as stunning as you can imagine. I’m not sure if I’ll be able to get him in it again- but perhaps a few words to remind him just how much the sight makes me want to peel those few layers off might do the trick. He’s a darling like that.

What are the best and worst parts of being the Inquisitor?
I love that I have access to so much more research material and information in general. To have Thedas’ greatest researchers and resources at my fingertips is marvellous. I also enjoy the idea that people could see a mage leading the fight against evil and perhaps unlearn some of their fear and prejudice. Most people know less of my fellow mages than they do what lies beyond the Amaranthine Ocean.
The worst part is that people keep calling me a hero, and insisting that I am somehow special, and ordained by the heavens. It makes me incredibly uncomfortable. I can wear the mask that they want to see as well as anybody, but it is a façade.
I cannot really go anywhere without being recognised anymore, unless I deliberately disguise myself. Maker, I wish that Josephine hadn’t insisted on having my portrait done and distributed. I miss being just another man. So much is required of me, often more than I can safely give. It’s bloody hard.
But, such is my life. I wouldn’t change it now- I’d never have met the love of my life, or my greatest friends. Who knows if I’d even be alive? I’d likely have died at the Temple of Sacred Ashes.
Thank you for the interesting question!

What's the last prank you pulled? Did you get away with it?
Hm, well it has been some time since I participated in the game of pranks... Yes, I believe it is safe to tell this one now.
I may have innocently reallocated the Commander’s small clothes to a more... secret location for a time. I also may have denied this fact. But I absolutely did not laugh when he complained of a chill or a chafe, and I definitely did not lend him the skimpiest smalls I could find (belonging to Dorian) until his own underthings showed up again.
Did I get away with it? Well that depends entirely on your definition of that. Sometimes being caught is all part of the fun. 😏
Thank you for the interesting question!

Would you be nervous to meet the Hero of Ferelden? Do you want to?
I would be honoured to meet the Hero of Ferelden! As I understand it, he is my namesake. And also the cousin of the Champion of Kirkwall. Talented family, it seems.
Interestingly enough, I have managed to meet his son Kieran, and his husband, on more than one occasion, though I have not had the pleasure of meeting his daughter; as I understand it the trip from Denerim to Skyhold was a little too perilous for her for His Majesty’s liking, she is very young, after all. King Alistair is a gracious man. The way he talks about the Hero is touching indeed.
At this point, I do not think I would be nervous to meet him, per se. There is of course, the performance anxiety that comes with meeting anybody of such importance and rank, but if anything, I would be excited to speak with him on a great many things, especially the arcane.
Thank you, that was an interesting question!

It’s a skill that he and I share, as a matter of fact. For me it was simply a hobby that I began as a child.
Sometimes I am able to convince my dear Commander to practice sans-armour-and-shirt. Watching his muscles as he throws... well I am sure you can imagine.
The dummy in his office has seen a recent uptick of action, in more ways than one. 😏
Cullen's knife throwing skills is something that needs to be explores further.
