Reading God's Word is my #1 read but there are some great writers out there that have been blessed with words I need to hear right now in the midst of my circumstances........... The struggle is real --how can I read all these right now?!? Hahaha. Start at the top & work my way down I guess. (Current Reads: Destiny by T.D. Jakes & Make It Happen by Lara Casey...next up Uninvited by Lysa TerKeurst & her online book bible study) #findabookanddigin #readingisgoodforyoursoul #findingpurpose #trendsetterkristinderight #makeastatement

What you find in the waiting...
Waiting. I”m terrible at it. I tend to just make things happen, to wait would be painstaking and uneventful in my view. However waiting seems to be where I’m at these days... waiting to hear from God, waiting to hear if I got the job I so desire, waiting to see what my next season of life will be, waiting to find Mr. Right, waiting to see how I can get my finances in order, waiting for answers, waiting, waiting, waiting.
I believe I’m an expert in the world of waiting, you see I’ve been waiting for Mr. Right for 36 years now... of course some of those years I didn’t even know what a Mr. Right was...by now I have a good idea of what I’d like him to be like. Now I do not always seem to be looking for him, but God knows I’m still waiting. Some girls search out on their own to find him, others seek to serve locally for a chance encounter to find him, me on the other hand - I just wait. Perhaps I should be seeking him out, showing up at places where I think I might find him... but there is something in the waiting, I truly do not want to give up.
What do I enjoy in the waiting? The longer I wait, the more I learn about myself and the more I will see him as an answered prayer, I have so longed for. To give God the credit in my Mr. Right seems to be worth the wait. To reveal to others how waiting on God to reveal the next best thing, is far more rewarding than taking matters into my own hands and not waiting.
When I’m waiting...I tend to spend more time talking to God. I enjoy knowing His plan is in action, as He knows I am clueless or perhaps vaguely aware of the plan. I am able to focus on other items in my life while I wait. You know a women’s best feature: multi-tasking. While I wait...for the man, the job, the future plans...I learn to live in the moment. I learn that I should live today to it’s fullest, because one day the wait for the answer will be over and the view from this waiting pool will soon become different, as I wait for the next item.
Waiting on God requires discipline, faith and a whole lotta trust...that what you are waiting for will come about; yet we all know it might not look like what we envisioned. I can not lie... waiting to hear if I got a new job, has been difficult and frustrating at times; but knowing God is with me during the wait, that my season of waiting has allowed He and I to talk on a daily basis, to search His Word for truth to hold onto, to know that He will be glorified when the wait is over... why would I not want to live in this waiting game? When I wait, He gets the Praise! When I wait, He gets the attention! When I wait, He is the only way it happened... so waiting -- Yes, I am thrilled to be waiting on Him to reveal the next steps because when I wait, I see Him and others do too.
Enjoy the wait...it might just be your best season!

Tailor Your Fall
Well if you haven’t noticed... this FALL will be all about tailoring your look. If you recall from the 90′s we have lived this era before, but I’m sure your not surprised by the repeat fashion style...this time maybe we can make it better than the 90′s. Button up your shirts, tuck ‘em in and belt it up for a fun FALL into fashion. Square shoulders, clean lines and heels are back. I have to say I do love this look, as it reminds me of my mom and her daily attire for work those 33+years she would go into the office, making her own classy statement. Unsure of the style... ask your mom or aunt for old photo albums and take note of their fashion sense 20 years ago... you’ll be sure to find looks you can tailor to fit your style.
Needing some more insight ... checkout Christina Applegate’s role in “Don’t Tell Mom The Babysitter’s Dead” as your FALL inspirational take on a 90′s business woman’s look for 2016. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0101757/

Make a Statement
Hi I’m Kristin. I have always loved making my own unique stamp on this world. Since I was a little girl, I would dress my own look. I would wear hats when others would shy from them. I would accessorize as Coco Chanel. The bolder the color, the more fun I had with it. I have never been afraid of fashion, I embrace it.
I think as a little girl, fashion was the one place in my life I had some sort of control over. I could make my own mark on this world...well in my case my two worlds. My parents divorced when I was 4, I lived the double life as a child of two households and lifestyles, which I believe helped me embrace the many personalities of Kristin. I could sit here and talk about all the ways divorce sucks for a child, but instead I like to think of the positives in life. I learned how various households are run and what that looks like for a girl who loves fashion. I learned the definition of hard-work, fun, faith and family in a variety of ways and explored the many looks of Kristin in these opportunities. I learned that hard times can turn to blessings and unexpected people in your life can one day be the best blessings you ever received. I learned that no matter the resources or dollars spent, I could still make waves in this world with my own personal fashion. I could try on many hats, so the speak, of who I could become, what I could be.
In one life, I was the daughter of a single working woman who also loved fashion and started my early life with designs of her own, as she would dress me to the nines. The other life was a more simpler life with less emphasis on fashion and more on purpose, like sporting uniforms, mowing lawn attire and casual appeal. Both lives have now intertwined into the lady I am today. I love a good evening that allows me to rock the latest trends and push the limit on fashion; however a casual night with yoga pants and a comfy tee can always make my heart happy. What these 2 lives have taught me is that, no matter the day, time or year... I can still make my own statement in this world.
What statement am I trying to make you might ask? No matter life’s circumstances, whether in your control or not, make the most out of it. Look to the positives, embrace who you are today, learn from those around you and be intentional about leaving your statement in this world.
Why make a statement in this world? Why not! Only you can make your stamp on this world, so why not make it fashionably.
