Why Jesus?

So many people are baffled as to how Christians can beleive that stuff. It seems less far fetched to some to think aliens came to earth to harvest and train our civilization to build better or have technology. The whole idea of people rising from the dead, getting swallowed by a whale, or even killing giants with slingshots though... that's where people draw the line.

Its just too far fetched. Too hard to believe. Its just metaphors- one of my favorites.

We believe the Bible because the more one reads the Bible the more it backs itself up. It never contratdicts itself. "As iron sharpens iron" the word compliments and subsidizes itself naturally throughout scripture. Because we trust the divine nature of the bible before we open it, we are able to take in the fullness of His word, knowing it is divinely inspired and rightly divided by pur creator. It's hard for me to look back but I can try to remember when I didn't understand the bible either.

I am learning how to read it, with respect and openness. I am trusting when I read that the word of God is infallible and inerrant. I have learned to trust the bible this way from reading it more and becoming more comfortable with truly studying it. I have learned ways to use the bible as a tool for any situation. There is always a verse or helpful story or encouragement. Sometimes we are able to see our own flaws more easily and that can be a beautiful thing in it's own right.

I will expand on this thought in the future. I believe that book. With all of me. Im still on the fence about the ancient aliens though. ☀️
