So I didn’t want to do this and I’ve been avoiding it right now as long as I possibly can but I think I need to leave the RP for a while. Work hasn’t settled down for me at all, in fact I actually found out yesterday that I am interviewing for that promotion that I’ve been coveting for over a year now. I love each and every one of you and appreciate all that you have done for me lately while I’ve been sick and recovering both physically and mentally. I just don’t want you all to have to wait around while I focus on my professional life. When life calms down I’ll probably be back but for now this just feels like the best for everyone. I wish this RP nothing but success and I hope to return in a few months once my life settles down!
Chelsea, we want all of the best things for you, and completely understand that your offline life needs to take the priority right now. Take good care of yourself, and know that we care about you very much and will miss writing with you so much!

Hey! October is a super busy month for me and I'll be gone every single weekend and the week days are just insane so I need to go on a hiatus. I can't remember how long they can be in the rules but I definitely won't be back till after the 1st weekend of November. I will try to do replies but I do not think I'll be able to.
Yes, you may have a hiatus through the end of the the first weekend of November. I am putting the end date as Monday, November 8th! Please let us know if you need anything else.
The hiatus page has been updated.

Hey I’m really sorry. But I’m absolutely drowning and I don’t have time this semester to rp any more. I will most likely come back at the end of the semester. Thank you and sorry again.
We entirely understand, Hope. This semester sounds really rough, and we want you to be able to have some more time for yourself each week. We look forward to writing with you again when you have the time.

Many citizens and visitors of Traceless are interested in observing the holidays that take place between October 31st to November 2nd. Variously, Halloween, Samhain, Día de los Muertos, All Hallows Eve, and more are observed. A largely secular annual Halloween party takes place in the village. This year, Dominic Lopez has graciously agreed to host the event at his bar Thirst ‘N’ Howl. Costumes are encouraged, as there will be a costume contest!
For October, there is a relatively simple but optional task. Each character that completes both parts of this task will be featured in one of the next two upcoming events!
Part 1: Post at least one open starter. Characters with starters posted by October 15th will be featured in either the Halloween event or the following event. Each player who posts a starter between October 16th and October 31st (leading up to or as a part of the Halloween event) will have at least one character featured in the following event.
Part 2: Post a picture/pictures or detailed description of what your character plans to wear on Halloween, whether it is a costume or their normal attire, by October 21st. Tag the post as TracelessEvent2.

hi sunshines. as I’m sure you’ve noticed, I haven’t been around much lately. truth is, this first year teaching thing really is getting the best of me and I just don’t have the energy or mental capacity to keep up with my characters right now, so unfortunately I think it’s best if I withdraw myself from the group. I wish you the best of luck and hope to be back once things decide to settle down. love you!! ❤️
We will miss writing with you so much, Jade, and want you to do what is best for you right now. Take care!

September 21, 2021
The full moon rises, which lately has not been a good sign for the town... and not for werewolves in particular.
The person that found the graffiti on the wall of the school first shortly before sunrise was not a werewolf (perhaps because all werewolves were occupied with being giant wolves at the time), but a vampire.
Ethan sent a photograph of the offending image to the rest of the council. Marnie joined forces with Laurel to get the word out to the other citizens of Traceless. The people deserved to know, and Mort was unavailable for obvious reasons. Al made sure that the graffiti was well-documented with the police officer on call, and Ella started negotiations with the TPC to get the words removed.
After the police questioned Ethan, he admitted that he had not been the person to find the graffiti; the one who found it had been his girlfriend of three years, Alix Frossard. Questioning of Alix revealed that she had been reluctant to attach her name to this unfortunate circumstance because of something that happened two months prior. Alix happened to be immune to magic and supernatural abilities of all kinds, and was not affected by the swap. She feared being suspected as the perpetrator of both the graffiti and the swap itself. The only plausible deniability, Alix claimed, was that she had was that she could not cast any magic herself as a vampire. Word got around quickly, and so did the gossip about Alix.
After arranging for Paul to lead the task force to remove the stubborn graffiti, Griselda immediately offered a “20% off for werewolves” discount at the cafe because she couldn’t think of anything better to do to help. In the morning, the werewolves of the Windflower Pack were flabbergasted. Mort joined up with Marnie and Laurel, but it was clear that he was not his best self. Mags and the middle school principal cancelled school for the day, leaving the parents to explain to their children why they were sent home. As for the graffiti itself, it proved difficult to remove, stubbornly refusing all mundane and magical efforts to be removed from the wall.
Two Traceless residents quickly stepped up during the day to offer the children (and their parents) of Traceless something enriching to do for the day. Local orphanage owner Ayla Rahimi and middle school gym teacher Hestia-Jo Violet collaborated to create a sort of “field day” for the kids. Many of the children under Ms. Rahimi’s care at the orphanage and Ms. Violet’s students participated.
This good-natured offer for free childcare was well-received by the children. However, some of the local parents and other adults were less convinced. A bloodthirsty vampire and a huge, dangerous werewolf taking care of innocent children without oversight initiated some whispers.
After many failed attempts by the TPC to remove the graffiti, it was eventually covered up with a tarp late in the evening of September 21st and the intent to try again outside of school hours. School is scheduled to resume the next day. However, the murmurings about Ms. Rahimi and Ms. Violet will continue...

TOMEO "THOMAS" HASEGAWA is a 36 year old WITCH, who looks a lot like TONY THORNBURG. THOMAS spends time at Traceless because OF HIS CAFFEINE DEPENDENCY AND HOBBY OF PEOPLE WATCHING. HE is known for HIS CAREER AS A PRIVATE INVESTIGATOR AND TRACKING MAGICKS.
Hometown: Yokohama, Japan Current Residence: Seattle, Washington, USA How long they have visited Traceless: 20 years. Abilities: As a witch, Thomas specializes in a sort of scrying. Historically this is closely associated with acts of divination and fortune-telling, and while Thomas has limited precognitive abilities due to a keen second sight, primarily what he specializes in is more... hindsight than foresight. Plainly stated, Thomas is efficient with tracking magic, and his specialty is gleaning imprints of other people's feelings and memories off of objects and environments they visited. It's useful in finding where missing people have gone, or what, if anything, has exactly happened to them.
Character Background:
Thomas did not start life aware of his supernatural heritage, and whatever odd instance he had here or there that pointed at something being different with him was promptly ignored. And easily ignored, too, as he was kept a busy child by his keepers who had invested much too much money in him for him to have a spare moment to think or do anything that wasn't on their schedule.
That was fine.
Thomas played the role expected of him and played it well, did the work expected, and was a young adult when he chanced upon the oddly named café. He and a close friend felt a draw to Traceless and ventured in together, and in doing so, opened themselves up to the next chapter of their lives. Traceless offered respite from the chaos of their conjoined misfortune as pawns of the Sulla family, and the immense, oft criminal pressures they were put under. Now that it has been several years since that same close friend has vanished somewhere Thomas himself can't even find as an investigator or as a witch, Traceless still overs him a nostalgic place to decompress and ruminate.
