theory on why max was there before the other campers in season 5!!!!

okay it was probably to replicate the start of the series but idc!!!! i wanna think that david would probably arrive at camp campbell 2 weeks minimum before it actually opens - and therefore max’s parents would just make max get a bus to camp campbell like a week early to get him out the house asap.

they’d probably leave david a voice mail and send max on his way, and then he’d arrive at camp and have to stay in the counsellors cabin with david until he set the tents up (assuming CJ wouldnt get there as early, and if we factor in past years then gwen) so that’d probably be atleast 5 days of max kinda living with david every year.

also i think max has definitely been to camp more times than we’ve seen or atleast just the year prior to the one we see. based on the fact he “misses chucky” in reigny day who was a camper the year before so it makes sense!!! basically i wanna think max’s parents made arrangements with david to get max there the earliest he could possibly be, and david being david (and a people pleaser) obviously didn’t support the idea but was okay with max staying if his parents insisted because yk its max!!!

oh and i don’t think max would be pleased with being sent early at all because it’d probably make him feel outcasted and different (which is how he felt in the first episode of season 5 might i add!!!) but i’m also sure a part of him is okay with the one on one attention he can get for a week or so
