there’s several reasons why the suicide rate for active duty and civilian members in the Air Force is so high. i need out.

1. unrealistic expectations

2. no support for those expectations

3. toxic, sexist leadership starting at the flight level going straight to the top

4. shitty fucking feel-good trainings to just check some bullshit bullet point off a checklist.

thought i was working for a greater purpose when i was hired. man, i could not have been more wrong. everyone is self-motivated with a personal agenda to get ahead of everyone else. awards, ceremonies, promotions are all fake and nothing is actually based on merit. supervisors just push their employees to work as much as they can and sacrifice their bodies past the point of what is humane all so that the supervisors can be mentioned at the next staff meeting for ”performing at a high level” to set themselves up for a quarterly award.

really need a way out.
