âPhoenix, darling your more like a pyre.â Tony said his hands going to his pockets. After all the demon didnât go to hell for being sweet. Besides it was interesting that a girl on fire was almost crying - almost ironic in away that he couldnât help but push.Â
âDing ding ding. Selfish, apathetic,  some people call me a monster. Although if weâre going to be truthful monsters care.âÂ
He stalked closer, something maddeningly interesting in the flames around the girl. âHoney I donât respect myself, but how about this. If you donât want to burn down this entire place, Iâll help you.âÂ
He asked himself why he wanted to help, after all he didnât care. But he wanted to figure it out. He was curious.  It might be a bad plan, and  hell curiosity killed the cat and he wasnât sure if he minded if he came back. âAfter all itâs only fun to burn down the world, if you want it gone.âÂ
The Sharpest Lives| Tony and Aydara
The witch was nearly quaking. Her kill count for the day had reached six,    and she was in no way prepared to increase it to seven. It seemed like a probability,    however, given that her robe of flames had grown in length, a three foot tail now    trailing behind the pyromancer as she took meek steps backwards.
âI may possess the qualities of a dove, this much is true, but,    as I am right now, I seem to be more of a phoenix. Thus, I encourage you    to proceed with caution.â She was trying to reason with him, desperate    to wipe that delirious smile from his face, hoping to appeal to the manâs    better judgement â albeit at the moment it seemed he had none.
His question sparked a reserve of anger that Aydara wasnât aware she had,    one which caused a ring of fire to scorch the ground around her feet. A warning.    âYou are selfish if your recklessness causes a death to be put on my conscience,â    she added calmly, her confidence slowly beginning to resurface. She would not allow    herself to be intimidated by some estranged man whose personality doesnât quite   fall short of sociopathic.Â
âI do not believe you are âterrified,â or that you âcare,â but I do. And out of respect    for me, I insist you maintain your distance.â

Tonyâs laugh could have been happy - it was with a kinder smile it might have been but as it stood it was sinister. As if he was a cheshire cat. Oh he could see the flames around  the girl, he wasnât to far gone to see that people were terrified. He could leave and find Arachne, pretend that the void and darkness hadnât clobbered itâs way back up his spine.Â
Still why not let the world burn. Chaos after all was when you felt alive. So slowly he approached the girl, suit and tie still unmarked. The observe slowly becoming a player in the game.Â
âWhat are you gonna do there, Dove? Set me on fire? You can try.â There was something gone in his eyes, not exactly angry but as if heâd seen the end.Â
If he had known what was going on, Tony might have grasped on the things that made him sane. Arachne - blonde hair perfectly in place - a necklace around a little girl, hell a brother with a matching smile. But he didnât.Â
âYou look terrified. Tell me what do I look like to you?âÂ
âAsk me if I care? Go on. Ask me if Iâm terrified.âÂ
The Sharpest Lives| Tony and Aydara
Aydara would be lying if she were to say she wasnât completely horrified â    terrified, traumatized, terrorized â at her own actions as of late. She simply couldnât    control the fire which blazed deep within her core. She was fuelled with an inferno-like    resolve, one which was expelling in every single way. The Dutchess attempted with utter    desperation to control the flames, but her pyromancy seemed to have a mind of its own.    She had become a murderer, a killer, and she was disgusted with herself.
Her fire was dancing on her body, licking dangerously at her skin. She was alight with    a dress of flames, one which provided new meaning to the term âtrail blazer.â
âStay back, all of you,â she advised to all those she passed, tone calm and cautious    but not entirely void of despair. Only when she saw a man smiling manically at her did    she pause. âDo not approach any closer, Darling,â she motioned to her garments    of pyre.                   âPlease, I encourage you to heed my warning.â

The Sharpest Lives| Tony and Aydara
@aydara-abecassis
Tony had vices, obviously his damned soul had a few. Still in the throngs of chaos he looked completely calm. Maybe it was the violence around him - seeing people decimate each other was almost soothing for the man.Â
Maybe it was because his biggest sin - the one that made him damned in the first place was apathy, and even when he felt the humanity roll through him  that didnât change.
He just didnât care. Hell he could laugh. Even when he saw them coming towards him he couldnât stop the absolute hysteria. He was grinning in away that fit more in hell then it did on earth.Â

Tony saw her tense and immediately he grew serious. Something was wrong, something he had said was dangerous. He didnât flinch on her grip, he never did. Although he hadnât believed it three minutes ago her reactions made him believe in the reapers. She was older and more importantly she rarely lied to him. Not about the important things.
âI heard it in the market, and understood. Do you want me to investigate it or do you want to make sure they canât find you.â His dark eyes found hers holding the gaze a look of seriousness he normally didnât have.
âWhy would they be angry?â
âReapers,â repeated silently she, looking at him with her eyes going narrow. No, noâ reapers were no joke, no myth. It was the truth, and they existed, but not here. Not in this realm. Never on this earth. Arachne stiffened and her brows got together, cautiously looking around. âWeâre not going outside. And Tony,â she stepped closer, fingers wrapping around half of his jaw and chin, even if ever so gently, just to get his whole attention, âDo not go anyone who says they are a reaper. If the rumors are true, we could get into big trouble. Reapers are real, and they should be very, very angry.â

âI donât really see enough carnage for it to be bloody silence - but I see your point.âÂ
He couldnât actually remember the last time it was just him and Arachne. After settling on the island, Tony had taken more responsibility then he had since he had died. It was a tricky game they were playing, but it felt nice just being around her.
âMy vote is not go outside - I donât know what keeps happening but I donât trust the meteorologist anymore. And what? Like Little Mermaid? Thatâs at least more plausible then what I was hearing about. Reapers? Like the Grim Reaper are apparently back. Whatâs next faeries or dragons?âÂ
âEnjoy the bloody silence for once.â
She did not mind them only being in the whole building, it brought a little more serenity to their hectic lives. Both of them on their own were not as much that, as was the life on the island, wanting to kill them on every step. âWe could get alcohol from the bar, and try Netflix. We could go out, but the weather is questionable. Did you hear the rumors about mermaids? Lunatics.â

âI wouldnât take her out of hiding to soon - thereâs bastards everywhere around here. Angels around every corner although they donât come around this side much.â
âWhat do I do for fun? Why now a young gentle woman like yourself wouldnât want to get messed up in that kind of life.â A smile played around his lips. âBesides if you have the Mona Lisa youâre too smart to be around the likes of me, princessa.âÂ
âNo,â the brunette said slowly, âNo, I very rarely take her with me. Itâs not safe from this potato of a man.â She quieted, mind swirling around the name. No, it wasnât the first time sheâd been called princessa, and no, it certainly wouldnât be the last. But it was.. uncanny⌠She cleared her throat and with it the seeping suspicion that threatened to flood her mind. Plenty of people spoke Italian, and it was a common pet name.Â
âAaaanyway⌠What do you do for fun around here?â

â- it seems like we havenât been home in a while, doll. What are we doing today?â He wasnât really planing on doing anything, but his suit was still on. He wasnât even sure he owned anything more casual. Not that he would be caught wearing sweat pants.

âAh, are you telling me that you have the original? Si Si donât carry it around to get it taken away from you.â Tony didnât know why he had stopped the police. He didnât care normally. But - she reminded him of someone. Yes that must be it. She reminded him of someone.Â
âDonât worry about it, princessa.âÂ
Cara glared fiercely at the man even after he released her and grabbed back onto the print, brushing off the glass before a groan escaped her. The frame was broken. Again. âGrazie,â she spoke, not looking up to him as she frowned down at the frame. âI had it done professionally,â she said, âI canât just carry around the genuine article all willy-nilly.â
âYou didnât have to do that you know.â

âHey, leave the girl alone.â Tony said seeing the police officers he tried to stop them. After all it was outside his turf. âCome on. Sheâs fine and that isnât real. Iâll pay for the fine. Scram.âÂ
âYou alright, bambina?â He said to the girl picking up the picture. âHuh itâs a good fake.â
âBastardo! Lasciami andare!â The demoness yelled, her body jerking as she attempted to wrench herself away from the elder angel. It wasnât a great idea to seek out this sort of fight, but it wasnât like she could help it. ..Probably. Or thatâs what she told herself. The little shit tried to take Lizzy from her and she had to defend her precious daughterâ
âThatâs mine!âÂ

âDorothy, if you got lost youâre a hell of along away from Kansas. Come on I think we have some towels if thatâll help.â Tony wasnât usually this accommodating, but it was cold outside and this girl didnât look like she was going to cause trouble.
â..Much more, got it. Not really, but. I donât mind the warmth, obviously,â she shrugged, briefly looking down to her wet and cold toes, âBut I wasnât searching for..this. I think I got lost.â

âDepends what you want, Angel. It can be a bar to some and much more to others.âÂ
âWhat is this place exactly?â

âLove, thatâs not what this is. The bar is one part of this place, but most people come up for the - comfort of a male or female. Usually for short periods of time. I donât think that is a job youâre looking for, Moon. I really donât. And I thank you.â
âYes that is my name. Moon. And I donât think working in a bar is a dishonorable job. But I do understand that this bar is a strange one. You have a secretary.â Nari knew that this was the place where Alice worked. The demon sometimes accompanied the other but she never really understood what exactly Alice did. âBut Iâll tell Alice you said hello.âÂ

âItâs Italian.â Maura - that name clicked with Tony. His new friend, but after all she didnât tell him about this boy. âItâs eleven and youâre in a bar connected to a Brothel . Come on, kid. Iâm going to escort you out.â Tony after all was treading this side of legal on the island he wasnât about to lose his establishment.Â
âBambino,â he repeated with a scoff. âYou sound like . . Maura. Mânineteen; sânot that late . . anâ I do have a reason.â

âYes. You also look nervous. How old are you Bambino? Isnât it a little late for you to be running around without a reason. âÂ
âWhâ me? Umâ not lookinâ for any help, just . . around. Why? Do I look lost?â

Tony let out a chuckle. He wasnât offended in the slightest.   âHe wishes. Nah Iâm taken. I just want coffee before itâs noon.âÂ
Coffee
âIs Bruce your boyfriend?â Lena asked him point blank. It was as natural as asking if a girl was his girlfriend. It had never bothered her who loved who.Â

âOf course, Doll.â Tony said moving down the hall in the opposite direction. He wasnât sure exactly how much he could get done, but he knew the layout well. Heâd worked on them before. He should be able to stabilize them.Â
âIâll go get a room and talk to the employees that are still here,â nodded she, already walking away down the corridor.Â
âMake it quick.â

âI just did. Although dove it probably depends on if Iâm lying or not. Doubt he wants to find out.â An easy grin came across his face as he relaxed into his booth.Â
He listened to the girl and what she was saying, after all information was the key to anything. Itâs what meant life and death for a lot of people.Â
âThatâs quite a list. Now what is this about a brother? Is he like you, dove?â
âNo, not harsh, I just wasnât excepting you to threaten his soul. Can demonâs do that?â
There were things she didnât know, questions upon questions that she didnât have answers for, and Maura didnât know where to even begin. So she crossed her legs, and took the drink with delicate fingers and a painted smile.Â
âWell, I like mint juleps,â Taking a slow sip of the very drink sheâd been given, Maura watched her new friend with oily eyes. âand vodka. I play violin, professional, elite. I prefer women, and Iâm here for my cousin, mostly, but aâŚthere is this boy, my brother, getting in the way. I inherited my familyâs vineyard just over a week ago.â
